| Now, these references will help you of course, but you must know the main Kevin Smith-ified movies before you continue in your studies. So here they are, in release order: Clerks Mallrats Chasing Amy Dogma Clerks Animated Series Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back these flicks are usually called the Jersey trilogy, but obviously they are not a trilogy, as the askewniverse kept on growing. Now of course there are other movies that Kevin Smith and the others at View Askew have been involved in, but the above are the main ones. Here are some others that you may be interested in once you become more Askewed: Tail Lights Fade Jason Mewes has a cameo in this, and it is a pretty good movie, even though I didn't get to spend much time with it when I rented it. Flying Car This is a short that has Dante and Randal from "Clerks" having a normal Dante-Randal conversation. Pretty exciting to watch if you have seen Clerks so many times and are aching for more Dante and Randal. Drawing Flies This flick is CrAzY! I really liked it, even though it kind of blew my mind. But yes, I must own it soon. first of all, it is set in Canada. And second, Jason Lee is so lovely to watch in this role after seeing him in Kissing a Fool. What a crazy guy! Vulgar I finally got a chance to see this, but, even better, I GOT TO BUY IT FOR 6 DOLLARS. (now i can save up for the DVD). Need DVDs. Really neat movie, definetely one that I will watch again and again. |
