Joey Maher, Jessica Pierson and Elizabeth Weber are senior exit group 10 at Lake Michigan Catholic High School. For their senior exit project they worked with Mrs. Raklovits' third grade class at Sorter Elementary School. They talked with the kids about bullying and the importance of acceptance. They put together a variety show that covered different aspects of bullying. They had a lot of fun working with the kids and the kids really enjoyed performing their skits, dancing, and doing their "Conflict Resolution Rap." |

After completing our project we all felt that our project was a success. The only real problems that we ran into were scheduling issues and also when it came time for the Variety Show the kids got nervous and became a little shy. Other than that everything went really well and the kids participated and did a great job. We were actually surprised about how excited they were to do the skits and the dance. They were always volunteering and giving us feedback which made our project that much better. To anyone who will be starting their senior exit project, don't underestimate the amount of work you have to do. Be sure to stay on schedule and work hard. It really is fun to get involved and do something that will make a difference. |
