Elden is a member of the distinguished men of Phi Omicron Psi Fraternity Inc. It is a national organization of college and professional men that was founded in 1986 at the Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. It is an organization based on the goal to enhance campus life for students through educational awareness, social opportunity, and community service. It is their hope that through the commitment of these ideals that the fraternity will attract new members by instilling a sense of unity, leadership, brotherhood, and elightened knowledge of oneself and heritage.
Elden has been a member of Phi Omicron Psi Fraterity, Inc. since 1998. He is the founding member of the Zeta chapter of Phi Omicron Psi Fraternity, Inc. located at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. He currently holds membership in the Omicron Beta graduate chapter and serves as Graduate advisor and webmaster to the Zeta chapter.
