Entry for October 9, 2007
I have been busy lately, so I missed an entry or two. Sunday I hit the 10am meeting at St Joe's. I met an interesting cult member. He is a very passionate guy, who believes that most cult members aren't following the 12 steps correctly. He feels they need to go back, and only use the Big Book, forsaking all other books. I think he's got a ego problem, but some of what he says is very interesting. I think it's rediculous to think that nothing but the Big Book can keep me sober, though. I mean, if we still did everything like they did in 1930 when the book was writen, we'd all be stepping in horse shit on the road, cuz no one would be in cars. After that, my sponsor picked me up, and I tried to help him get a web site up and running. He got a trial one month subscription to some web warehouse type of thing. It wasn't fun, nor fast, and I was over there till late. Monday I donated blood, and went to the IHA meeting. Today I mowed the lawn then went golfing with a fellow cult member, out at Rolling Medows. My sponsor picked me up and we went to the UAW meeting. The table did the 12th Step in the 12&12. It was interesting. I don't think I remember reading the 12th Step in the 12&12 before. I also purchased "Came to believe" at the meeting. I read "Wroking with Others" today. I enjoyed going golfing with another cultist today. We talked about many cult related things, and all in all it was just a friggen beautiful day.
