Always check the Changelog for internal-specifc changes.
This file is kept in chronological order, sorry.

Thu Mar 4 1999

Changed the correlation from the 283 to the 285 - this is a major improvement
in accuracy. See mdate.h for the changes and how to edit for different
correlations.

Wed Mar 24 1999

Removed the old julian date functions, and replaced them with Ivan's python
routines cast into C. Major accuracy breakthrough, all dates excepting the
mayan epoch itself now work. All years must be entered in full on the
commandline now.

Sun Apr 04 1999

Changed the output of the various commandline options to make it easier for
other programs to parse it. A tk interface to mdate is in the works, which
made this necessary.

Wed Apr 07 1999

CVS'ed the tree, and continuing work on tkmdate.

Tues Apr 13 1999

Removed all dependence on Rata Dine and Reingold/Dershowitz code, and
re-released under the GPL license.

Tues May 4 1999

Finished tkmdate and integrated CDR's patches into the main source. We can now
use either the standard commandline program, or modify for use with tkmdate.
Version updated to 1.0.0beta1

Tues May 11 1999

Fixed embarrassing bug in tkmdate for -d option for dates (breaking
backward-compatibility), small document fixes.

Sun May 23 1999

Finished moving all displays to modules, this should leave the engine clean.

Thur June 17 1999

Fixed up configure.in, moved mdate to new home at

http://ewe2.cvis.com.au/mdate/

with an ftp site at

ftp://ewe2.cvis.com.au/pub/mdate/

celebrate with a new version :)

Sun Oct 17 1999

More config and doc updates.
Incorporate fixes from mdate-1.0.1 deb.
Skipped an internal bug-hunting version.

Fri 11 Feb 2000

Mdate makes Debian frozen yippee :)
Well mdate is Y2K compatible at least :)
Added error messages to avoid the screams from unfortunates using the Windows
port, and crashing due to bad dates before the epoch.

Sat 11 Mar 2000

David Starner added i18n support, and may help maintain Mdate on
sourceforge.net (whenever I can get the code set up there).

Tue Mar 21 00:21:00 EST 2000

CVS tree is up and running on mdate.sourceforge.net. Two new developers have
joined up with moeffju promising some po files, and mabs working on porting
the thing to c++. Version 1.10 release is hoped to include at least the new
translations and cleanups of the code and documentation.

Sun Apr 2 18:25:34 EST 2000

Mdate is moving to a split architecture, with a library module and frontend
modules. Setting up the library module is the first step in this process.
David Starner has single-handedly rewritten mdate into something resembling
competence, and the best I can do is keep up :)

The code-formatting standard is as suggested by Matthias Bauer, which treads a
good line between k&r, gnu, and renegade linux coders :))

Sat Jun 3 03:42:41 EST 2000

Updated to 0.0.4 due to a nasty bug which prevented compilation of the GTK
interface. gtk and glib seem to think they alone define TRUE and FALSE, ack.

Sun Nov 5 12:36:00 AEDT 2000

added david's my_drem() to the code, updated the config and bumped up the
library version. rewrote the documentation into debiandoc sgml to ease various
format output (yes virginia, there IS a pdf version!).
