The Inside Scoop #4

21/10/02

  • After EWCL TAG Insurgence, the staff was real happy how this event turned out. A spokesman said that this was something new to try out and since it was a success it can be repeated in the future. EWCL Tag really put the tagteam division back on the map. Especially the matches Corvik/MacBeth vs. Cerberus/Xavier and Corvik/MacBeth vs. Dangerous/Punisher and Corvik/MacBeth vs. Blood Brothers go alot of positive reactions.

  • Backstage the people are happy that Thuglife became the new Prime Time Champion. On the other hand some people weren't too happy about the way he won the title as it didn't really put Thuglife over that much. The 'mystery' man who crippled Jerry Campbell will show himself again next weekend. Don't expect to see alot of Jerry Campbell in the near future. Campbell is gonna concentrate on the indies for awhile.

  • MacBeth won't be competing the upcoming show as the four matches at EWCL Tag got to his fysically. He will probly be back the week after at the PPV. Sean Corvik however is also slightly injured but he won't miss any shows.

  • The return of Strait Hate finally occured. It was Hate who was responsible for all the spoken words on the CazzoTron the last couple of weeks and not Matty Midget as Neil Down thought. Hate is also responsible for it to bring Cazzo back on the show. Prez Cazzo wasn't around for a few weeks, but now agreed to work with Hate. Furthermore the comments that Strait gave in the direction of Johnathan Cable were probly a shoot. All in all, expect more to see from Strait soon.

  • Scott Monroe impressed and surprised everyone by becoming the new Universal Champion. From a reliable source we heard that Monroe at first wasn't suppose to win the Universal Title. The initial idea was to have him win the EWCL Title and that Exile stayed the Universal Champion. But things changed after Blade impressed everyone the last days before the show.

  • The ending of Insurgence could have been a bit shocking to some viewers. However we can state that Drake Laps and his wife Kelly gave the go ahead for that particular ending. Kelly even made a joke, that it was about time that Drake got handcuffed for once. And thereby insinuating that she gets handcuffed regularly by the Highflying Miracle.

  • Scott Monroe will miss the next Insurgence as he pulled a muscle when he did the final belly to belly suplex in the main event. He will be present at the PPV though and most likely defend his title there.
