It seems that its came down to yours truly to actually bring some class to the EWCL. Dont get me wrong theres guys that ooze class and panache, the Jerry Campbells, Sean Orions and even Drake Laps on his day but as for the rest?

Guys like MacBeth and Scott Monroe who seem to have some sort of fear of cleaning products. Things like soap, shampoo, soap powder and toothpaste are lost on people like them.

But enough about certain peoples hygiene, or lack thereof. Lets go back to last weeks Insurgence. Every Sunday I pull up my favourite chair, pour myself a nice glass of red wine and get ready to enjoy two hours of wrestling. Every week as Ive sat at home in my favourite chair Ive enjoyed the action before me but last Sundays Insurgence was really rather special. Maybe it was something in the Detroit air or even the reappearance of the Royal Family but everyone seemed to have that extra bounce in the their step as they gave their all in an attempt to win their match. It truly was a great show and left the so called other big promotions, IWF and DRWF, quaking in their little booties. This past week has thrown up a lot of questions and I for one will be glued to my seat next week.

The Positive

1. The 4 way number 1 contender match. What a way to start a show and all four gave their all in an attempt to pick up the victory.

2. The Nick Dangerous. Young Nicky has been having a tough time of late so it was good to see him coming out and taking Exile right to the wire.

3. Scott Monroe. He might dress and look like a tramp but who am I to question the mans talent in a wrestling ring? A very, very impressive start to his EWCL.

4. The Royal Family. Everyone has raised their game because of these 4 men, I might not approve of their vendetta or how they achieve it but theres no denying the immediate impact these guys have already had.

5. Sean Campbell. After being so desperate to get into the federation the first time and then actually not rping! Its good to see that this time hes more serious and has some skills.

6. Sean Marquez. The kid has talent. It wouldnt kill him though to wear some nice sensible clothes though, would it?

The Negatives

1. That horrid urinating thing. Next time you need to take your dog to the toilet MacBeth do what everyone else does and take it the park.

2. The Soda Boy. Theres talent there but not enough of it gets shown on a regular basis.

3. The New Evolution and the Ministry of Total Justice. In case you guys hadnt heard the Royal Family have got this fed by the nether regions. Perhaps this could be a chance for you guys to stand up and show what you can do?

Finally to round off a stellar opening column heres my top five picks from the last week.

5. Shaun Marquez. As Ive said already, impressive start.

4.. Nicky was back after a slow couple of weeks and I really think he could have won the belt if it wasnt for the fact that the number 3 pick really showed his A game.

3. Exile. Hes the Universal Champion and this week he really showed why hes the champion.

2. The Highflying Miracle Drake Laps. Drake cut promos this week that would have left every one else in this fed gasping for breath. Drake worked so hard this week and still ended up notching up a defeat in the lose column so guess whos number one this week?

1. Awful hair, awful clothes but a heck of the worker. This week Scott Monroe I take my hat off to you, a stellar performance this week.

As always the pleasure was all yours............
