Welcome to the second edition of the David Davies report! Before the 3-week break the EWCL showed why theyre regarded as one of the greatest federations in the business. Survivor was an outstanding show that will be remembered in years to come. Not only did the Rage become the Universal champion, but the hall of famer Fazzer returned to torment the rest of the roster. It was revealed at Survivor that the man behind the bloody maggot attacks was none other than the Dark One himself. Fazzer, the man who made the eternal darkness match famous has had some of the best feuds EWCL has ever witnessed, most noticeably with Cazzo and his long time rival, Saphio. His return has sparked incredible rumors that EWCLs funny guy, Saphio, will be returning to settle the score with the Dark One. In my opinion, that just would not be a good idea. Fazzers wrestling skills, along with the rest of the EWCL roster have progressed and Saphio just would not be able to make it here anymore. He may be a hall of famer, but if youre reading this Saphio, would you rather have your pride intact, or suffer a lifetime of embarrassment at the hands of Fazzer? The choice is yours.
Last week at Venom, the newly crowned Universal champion Rage took on Dan Prohibition. Dan seemed to have the match under control, until the president of EWCL interrupted the match in an attempt to help Prohibition, he messed up allowing The Rage to pick up the win with the Revelation. This match has caused a lot of confusion among fans and myself. Did Cazzo inadvertently help Rick OConnor, or is there more to this than meets the eye? The words corporate alliance come to mind
After the Rages near loss at Venom, suspicions have arisen over Ricks desire to remain Universal Champion. Former champions such as Sparhawk and Super Trouper have all retired from the federation after acquiring the illustrious strap, and after his performance last week, is The Rage set to follow in their footsteps?
Another big feud that the EWCL has just given birth to, is Exile and Danny Christ. These two wrestlers have no past, but no one can deny that theyre both forces to be reckoned with. They went one on one at Venom and no eventual winner could be decided. It seems that the 2 could be facing off again at the next pay-per-view, rumored to be called Havoc. Exile is a superb wrestler who needs no introduction. He is a former EWCL universal champion and a member of the Royal Family, Danny Christ is a young wrestler still trying to make an impact. His appearance in the final of the Universal title tournament helped him prove just how good he was, but lets be honest, he was totally out of his league after he faced up with the Rage. In my opinion he should focus more on fighting lesser talents such as Exile and Kritical Kondition. Theyll both provide valuable experience for the up-and-coming youngster.
Did anyone notice the large woman sitting in the front row last week on Venom? My sources tell me that she was forced to pay for two tickets after her derrire proved to be too large for one seat. My reliable sources state that the woman who wishes to remain un-named is set to make a big, pardon the pun, splash in the EWCL. Nothing has been confirmed. When she finally makes her debut, I only have two words to say
RickBeware.
Here are my weekly awards.
Wrestler of the week: Fazzer
Fazzer picked up a superb victory after defeating Shane Johnson on his return, with Shane out of the way, he can smell Exiles blood
Loser of the week: The General
Who the hell is this guy? I hate it when a new guy joins a federation and attacks one of the top stars just to make a name for himself. You call yourself The General, okay, the general what? The general wrestler, the general loser? Generally, you just suck.
Well, thats all for this edition, next week expect a full, un-cut interview with an EWCL superstar! You just cant afford to miss it!
