YesyesyesyesYES!!!! It finally happened this week although not the way I had hoped. EWCL legend has finally hung up his stable making boots along with his regular wrestling ones to end an era. It was sad to see him leave like this but I do have it on good information that Punisher will be keeping a backstage role. His experience and the ability to teach it to the young guns of the EWCL like Gold, Loki and Outcast will benefit us all. Adios Punisher. Now lets get on to the celebrations. The Legion is dead and I feel great! In my eyes the worst stable in EWCL history has come to an end, not soon enough though. It was done in a mediocre fashion keeping a bond between Aaron Gold and Chris Outcast alive. Possible alignment turn for one of these? Possible tag team? Who knows? All I care is that the pain is over and their careers can begin to flourish.
Anyone ever hear a little word called 'dissapointment'? Well I have. The exact same word that came out of my mouth after the main event of 'Happy Days'. Macbeth has supposedly been having stomach troubles lately and Dr. Lebwinski is getting that sorted. Notice he isn't on the card this week? Macbeth seemed real sluggish like last week and his mind seemed somewhere else. Chris Christ carried Macbeth right through this encounter and it ended up doing Macbeth no favours. He has lost his return momentum now and has to really start producing the goods faster than a Jay Masters morning run. Christ destroying the Executive title was a nice touch.
Just who is Romeo Stone? The dude is huge and he certainly shredded little Eleven to pieces on Sunday, but I still wonder just what he can do on a mic. Its all good being a mountain of a man but you have got to start giving us some goods and soon!
Two matches really stood out for me this week. Thorn vs Amazing Alex Addams and Strait Hate vs Johnathan Cable. Now, I know I dont have time for the likes of Cable, I just don't like the kid, but I respect a good performance. Sunday was an awesome preformance by all four of these men and they really did put on a show. Personally, apart from the Dangerous/Christ match, I am looking forward to the Hate/Cable fight the most on Insurgence. This really could be a major feud in this fed. Good work guys!
Now, onto my best and worst bits of the night. I know you are hoping you're in my best bits. Here goes....
Best Bit: Bye bye
Wasn't it obvious? The Legions departure was just too good to be true. Two weeks after publishing my column it seems people are really listening to me. Hey Coby, go get me a soda! I think that maybe Outcast turning on Gold would have followed in to an amazing feud with the two of them. Two young superstars, who remind me of Brody James and Jason Drake in days of old, would help each other climb the ladder to success. Another path would have been Gold to get really pissed off at Outcast and hitting the Gold Digger on his one time stable mate. Anyway The Legion is finally gone and I couldn't be happier, 'Nuff Said.
Next Best Bit: Blood, blood and blood!!
Yep, the two mentioned matches from before were definetly one of my highlights. Extreme title is for extreme shit so lets see some more of it. Would anyone be against a Flaming Hell in a Cell made out of barbed wire and rabies infested bats fyling around the wing whilst the competitors have chainsaws attached to their arms? I know wouldn't. As long as it was Eleven vs the rest of the roster all at once, I would love it. Get rid of the puny 16 year old once and for all. Not only did the Extreme title provide some serious violence but the PT title match also shone. The no DQ stip was a great addition and really boosted the ratings on this somewhat mediocre match. Good work guys, writers and wrestlers alike!
Worst Bit: The kid
Now the Legion has gone what else can I hate? I know...ELEVEN!! This has got to be the worlds worst gimmick. Ok, he has won a few matches but so what. So has Jay Masters and nobody cares. Having this Stone guy decimate Eleven each week may not be a bad idea. How about a pinata match? Where Eleven is a pinata and we all beat him with a stick? Or a lets loose our virginity match? i'm sure Jezebelle will be happy to oblige with that one. Eleven facing off against himself of course, he may even still lose. Eleven, seriously, you have got to get something on the go for you. Oh, and, Eleven? What the hell is that? Think of a name with some frikkin meaning not just a random number.
Nest worst bit: The surprise
Mystic. What the hell? Mystic?! I was in total shock when I saw that the man who had been sending Macbeth messages was none other than EWCL's Mr. Reliable himself Mystic. Seriously I was expecting the eagerly awaited return of Sean Corvik or Alexander Glory (i'm still hoping he isn't dead). Man, Jay Masters would have been better to be the messenger than Mystic. I think it is kind of daylight robbery to give him this shot. For the time he has been in this fed I have seen people working so much harder than him and get much much less. Take Drake Laps for example. That guy was a fan favourite, ticket seller and all round superb performer and did he get a shot at a main eventer in what could have been a great storyline? Nah. Anyway, lets see how this unfolds. But I am certainly smelling disaster.
Well thats me done for the week. Lets have a quick look at the predicitions and i'll shoot you with some rankings and then i'm done. Back to my girlfriends house for some...coffee, if ya know what I mean?!
Predictions:
Match 1:
Jay Masters vs. Loki: Loki...my fingers hurt
Match 2:
Eleven/Mystery partner vs. Aaron Gold/Romeo Stone: Well, i'm a Goldie fan and so far Romeo Stone has been pretty impressive. Unless Elevens mystery partner is Sean Corvik im guessing a loss. Although I get a feeling it is either going to be Cerberus or Ex-Terminator. Still, Gold and Stone to get the easy win.
Match 3:
Chris Outcast vs. Silencer: Don't really know too much about this Silencer guy so hopefully he can impress me this week. So I am sticking with what I know and going with Outcast for the win.
Match 4:
Coby Belton vs. Mystic: Now then. I can go with the up and comer Belton, who doesn't look too bad to be honest or I can put my chips on Mystic, the guy with the promoing disease. I'm going to be crazy and put it all on Belton.
Match 5:
Amazing Alex Addams vs. Jerry Campbell: Not an easy choice really. AAA has shot up these rankings so quick I don't think anybody knows who he is and he is surprising them all. Jerry Campbell got the upper hand coming off with two excellent weeks of work. Jerry Campbell to win.
Match 6: Extreme Title - Hardcore Iron Circle Match
Strait Hate(c) vs. Johnathan Cable: Highlight of the card, almost. Great guys, great competitors in a great match for a great title. This is going to be so great! I can't see Cable pulling it off for two weeks though so Hate with the win here.
Main Event: Non-title
Chris Christ(c) vs. "The" Nick Dangerous(c): They fought in a past fed and they've met before in an EWCL ring. In my eyes, the two best competitors in the EWCL today. Nick has left his old days of trying to be as nasty as an old hooker with no teeth, and he's really shone on recent months. Chris Christ is not the champ for nothing however and he did beat Macbeth this week. This is a very hard match to call this week and I am totaly puzzled who to pick. But its my job and I don't want you all complaining like after the Hate/Cable draw this week. So with a strained face I pick Nick Dangerous to do it by an anal hair. Sorry Chris.
Rankings:
1.Strait Hate
2.Johnathan Cable
3.Thorn
4.AAA
5.Chris Christ
6.Nick Dangerous
7.Jerry Campbell
8.Aaron Gold
9.Mystic
10.Chris Outcast
Well i'm out for another week. I know this was a tad overdue this week but my son got ill and I had to....ah fuck it. I was just busy ok? I do have an actual job in this federation other than to write for you guys. It isn't easy...why am I bothering? Roll on Insurgence. Peace out guys,
Ray Ramone
