Save The Trees
Find helpful information on trees, whether it be planting or protecting.  You can view several pictures of tree projects and see what you can do to make the world a safer place for trees, and treehuggers.  If you are looking for places to purchase tree seedlings, check this page out.
White Pine
This is a blister rust resistant white pine from a registered seed orchard, genetically superior to grow faster than conventional white pine. 80-100ft.
Red (Norway) Pine
Red pine grows best on sandy, well drained fields. Shade from taller trees is not tolerated. Any part that  does not receive full sunlight naturally dies. Red pine has two  needles per bundle, each needle ranging from 4 to 6 inches. 80-90 ft.
Northern White Cedar
Commonly known as arbor vitae, white cedar makes a nice ornamental, windbreak or visual barrier. It can be planted on wet sites and is tolerant of shade. Its flat, scaly foliage is a favorite deer food. 50-60 ft.
White Spruce Hybrid
Developed by the Forestry Sciences Laboratory of the U.S. Forest Service. A superior tree that will produce up to 20% greater height growth compared to unimproved white spruce. Its dense foliage and fast growth make it ideal for Christmas trees, windbreaks and visual barriers. Very resistant to deer damage.
Blue & Norway Spruce
Spruces are hardy and make good ornamentals as well as windbreaks and visual barriers.  Blue spruce can have a silvery-blue foliage, and norway spruce has gracefully drooping green foliage. These trees do best on sandy loam soils but can grow in wetter, heavier soils.  Spruces have short-needles (1/2-1 inch long).  These trees grow best in full sunlight, but will also tolerate some shade. 60-80 ft.

You can purchase tree seedlings from Trees For Tomorrow.  For ordering information go to the seedlings page.  Individual seedlings are $0.75 each, with discounts for larger orders.  Shiping and handling fees are also required.  Remember, your seedling purchases help fund programs at Trees For Tomorrow.

The following trees and descriptions are featured in the TFT seedling sale.  At this time TFT does not sell deciduous trees.  If I find a website or organization that does sell deciduous trees, I will post it on this page.
