Welcome to Steele Cage!
(Finally)

Louis: Good afternoon, this is Louis Carvanelie, for those lucky enough to be here we welcome you to delayed Steele Cage Pay Per View Event presented to you by the EWA and it’s affiliates.

~Scene Change~

Maura:  This is Maura Downs reporting in front of the arena with people lining the entrance waiting to get into one of the most anticipated PPVs of EWA’s history.  The week long delay on the performance of this show due to legal complications of extreme fighting and the safety rulings of the EWA’s own advisors has made this a must see event.  There has been a flood of early arrivals and a star studded group it is.  It seems that a good majority of the EWA’s former superstars have acquired tickets to this event and are quite interested in it’s outcome.  Rumor has it that Rachel Pitt, Cyril Acheston, Layton Mathews, and Hell’s Angel are some of the names in appearance.

A pearl white limo pulls up and Ian Wynn steps out wearing quite uncharacteristically, a tuxedo, as he extends his hand, to aid some one else out of the limo.  Phil’s hairy legs shown through his knee high skirt appear out the limo door to show him stepping out graciously and waving to the fans and flicking his feather boa over his shoulder.  Following Phil out is Mike Victory looking very depressed and an angry Gary Mac.  Maura Downs chases down the party walking to the VIP entrance.

Maura: Mr. Wynn, Mr. Wynn, would you care to make a comment.  Are you as excited as we are about the show?  Is it going to be the blockbuster that it promises to be?

Wynn: I guarantee you Maura, every single last wrestler tonight will give it their all, as though there is no tomorrow.

Maura: Mr. Mac, Why did you all arrive in the same limo?

Mac sneers at the camera.

Gary Mac: No comment.

The group walks with out pause into the building and out of camera shot.  The scene goes back to Louis Carvanelie.

Louis: Well there you have it folks, all of the surviving former owners of the EWA arriving for the show here tonight and it looks like there’s some mixed emotions about them.  But without further adieu lets start the show.

The Pyro’s fire off and the Steele Cage trailer begins to play with the EWA theme song in the back ground.  We go through a montage of Christian Cage’s career, and John Steele’s, both working as a team and recently as bitter enemies.  Cage’s three title victories, and Steele’s memorable bouts while holding the World of Pain Title and the Tag titles flash on the screen.  When the montage ends the pyros fire once more and the loud speaker ambits a high squeal.  And a long forgotten voice sounds over it.

Bad News

Phil, Mac, Victory and Wynn walk down the entrance ramp.  A mixture of boo’s and applause for the assortment of fed heads rains down from the fans.  Mac still looking like he would like to murder someone, Victory as though he was on the verge of tears, Wynn looking genial but business like and Phil muttering to his shoulder as though there was something on it.  Wynn had the mic, and was the one talking over the loud speaker.

Wynn: Hold it, hold it, hold it.  We have an announcement to make before this show continues any further.  Can I get some lights here...CAN I HAVE SOME GOD DAMNED LIGHTS!

The spot lights flash and steady themselves on the party still making it’s way ringside.   Wynn holds the second and third ropes down as Phil makes a “Stacey Keebler” like entrance, much to the disgust of the crowd, and the rest enter the ring in their own fashion.

Wynn: Well Bannion...you called us here...explain yourself as to why?

A few moments later Bannion makes his way out on the entrance ramp walking down to the ring with his head held high.  He takes the steel steps and enters the ring with out once looking at any one but Ian Wynn.

Bannion: Ian, glad you could come.  I only wish it was under better circumstances.  I called you and the former owners with you to make an announcement.  A sad sad announcement.  One I wish it wasn’t my duty to make, but it is.

Phil: I had to ride in a limo with GARY MAC, Bannion...get to it!

Bannion: I most certainly will jelly jugs...just give me a moment.  I called you all here because I could not decide who to tell first...the fans, the ones that kept this federation alive with their patronage and loyalty, or the owners, the ones that built this fed from the bottom up.  You most certainly had a right to know as do they...so I decided to tell you both, here, now.

Mac: Get to it Bannion.

Bannion: I’m broke...the EWA is bankrupt, both morally and financially.  This fed has as much solvency as the Russian rubel.  It seems that it costs more to contract new talent then what we’re making on their short contracts here and with what the agents are asking for, well the federation has about enough to cover its debts and that’s it.  In short Mr. Mac, when Phil sold you the federation for $30 and a push up bra, he overcharged you.

The crowd gasps in shock.

Bannion: I called you all here, as well as many of the superstars from the past to witness the end of their legacy...I called you all here to watch Steele Cage in all it’s glory.  The EWA’s last PPV. To the fans I thank you for your grace and presence, and to the talent I say, give them the show they deserve...leave the EWA with the legacy that she was destined to have!

Maura: Well there you have it folks, I’m out of a job!

Louis: We’re both out of a job.

Maura: I’m of a mind to just walk out now!

Louis: Would you really do that Maura?  Walk out on the last show?

Maura: Watch me!

Maura goes to get up out of her announcer’s chair and she starts to walk out, but two familiar faces appear blocking her path.  Hell’s Angel and Cyril Acheston bar the path and walk her back to her seat.

Hell’s Angel: No one walks out on the EWA tonight.  Now announce.

Hell’s Angel points down at the chair and Maura retakes her seat.  Louis smiles at Maura back in her chair and watches as the enforcers go back to where they came from.

Louis: Looks like we have one last magical evening together!

Maura: Shut up Louis.

Match One
Jay Edwards vs. Ashton Sage vs. Tornado

Louis:  First up we have Tornado squaring off against Jay Edwards and new-guy Ashton Sage.  This is the way a pay-per-view should start.  A triple threat where anything can happen, alliances made, broken, chaotic battle.  What do you think there Maura?

Maura: Yeah yeah, lets get this over with!

The EWA opening theme cranks up as Tornado makes his way down to the ring to a mixed reaction as the music cuts.  As the crowd begin to quiet down, the lights in the arena begin to dim apart from bright lights shooting from the entrance ramp along with smoke, as 'The Power' by H-Block X begin so play out over the PA systems. As the song kicks in, the man who calls himself 'The Headliner' walks through the smokoe and in view of the crowd. Jay Edwards puts his hands on his hips and looks round at the crowd who are on the feet cheering. Jay gives a little sneer, pats his chest and then points to the crowd, before heading down to the ring. Jay quickly hurries up the ring stairs and climbs into the ring and walks over to the far turnbuckle which he climbs to cheering from the fans. Jay raises one arm in the air and glares at the cheering crowd, before climbing down

Louis:  Jay Edwards seems prepared for this one.

Maura:  But he still has to get past two other people to pull off the win here tonight.

The EWA opening theme strikes up again as the newest face in EWA, Ashton Sage, makes his way out of the entrance and down to the ring.  He enters the ring and the opening bell sounds out.  Right away, Jay makes his way to Sage and both men lock up.  Tornado watches on, waiting for his opportunity.  Jay takes advantage early, forcing Sage back towards the corner.  Sage tries to force out of it, but Edwards keeps pushing, backing him to it.  As he gets Sage against the turnbuckle, Tornado walks in and hits Jay in the back of the head with a double axe-handle, forcing Jay to release his hold and move away.  Sage steps forward and drives Tornado with a stiff right before climbing the turnbuckle and jumping off with a cross body, taking Tornado down.  Sage goes for the pin.  1...Jay breaks the count.  Jay quickly starts laying the boots to both men.  After several kicks and stomps, Jay moves away, helping Tornado to his feet.  Jay quickly sets up a scoop slam and delivers before moving to the top rope.  As he steadies himself, Sage gets to his feet and charges over, hitting the ropes.  Jay loses his balance and lands on the top turnbuckle.

Louis:  Edwards in a small world of hurt right now, thanks to Ashton Sage.

Sage quickly charges towards Edwards, who is sitting on the top rope.  Before he can get there, Tornado reaches and grabs Sage's leg, tripping him.  Sage runs face first into the second turnbuckle.  Tornado slowly gets to his feet and moves over to Jay, who is still on the top turnbuckle.  Tornado steps up onto the second ropes and grabbed Jay, ready to hit him with a suplex.  Jay stopped him just in time, shoving him backwards.  Tonrado hits the mat hard as Sage gets to his feet.  Sage quickly climbs the turnbuckle before jumping up to deliver a huricanranna to Jay.  Jay catches him just in time and hits The Last Order on Sage.

Maura:  What a move by Edwards!  Sage is out cold!

Tornado slowly gets to his feet as Jay goes for the cover.  1...2...Tornado breaks the count.  Jay slowly gets to his feet as Tornado runs for the ropes.  Jay runs after him, hitting him with a stiff shoulder tackle.  Tornado stumbles over the top rope and lands hard on the outside.  Jay moves back to find Sage getting back to his feet.  Sage catches him before he gets the whole way up and sets up for another finisher.  He hits The Last Order a second time on Sage and goes for the pin.  1...2...3.  The bell rings as The Power by H-Block X fires up.  The crowd begins to cheer.

Louis:  Jay Edwards wins our first match of the night!  Two Last Order Powerbombs later and he picks up the victory!  You almost seemed like you enjoyed that match Maura.

Maura: Shut up Louis.

World of Pain Title Match
Anything Goes
The Great Malinko vs. Blood Thirst

Louis:  Our next match is for the World of Pain title between our reigning Champion, The Great Malinko and Bloodthirst.  This one should be great.

Maura:  Malinko has shown how violent he can truly be in the past few weeks.  He faced off against Tommy Purr two weeks ago, and that was one of the sickest things I have ever seen.  Thank God no one was seriously hurt!

"Voodoo Running from my magic!"  Is blared out as SouthWest Vodoo by ICP cranks up.  The crowd starts booing as Malinko step out and makes his way down to the ring with a slow walk.  He makes his way around the ring to the other side, grabbing various things and tossing them into the ring.  He tosses in a chair, a broomstick and a garbage can.  He quickly gets intot he ring and starts pacing around.

Louis:  Malinko seems to be getting ready for this one already.  I'd hate to be in Bloodthirst's shoes right now.

The EWA opening theme blares out as Bloodthirst walks out to a mixed reaction from the crowd.  He looks over the crowd, then begins to sprint down to the ring.  Malinko stands in the middle of the ring, watching as his opponent gets closer.  As BT moves off th ramp and closer to the ring, He is suddenly hit square in the head by the broomstick, which breaks in two.  The fans start a "Holy Shit!" chant.

Maura:  Did you see that?  Malinko grabbed the broomstick, charged forward, jumped over the top rope and nailed Bloodthirst over the top of the head with it!

Louis:  Well, this is the sort of thing that needs to be done to get the title.  Bloodthirst just got a crash course in the World of Pain.

Malinko gets to his feet and looks down at BT's unconscious body.  Malinko looks at the broken broomstick that is still in his hands and looks down at BT.  He smiles and moves towards BT's head.  He takes the broomstick piece and starts chocking BT with it.  The ref comes in to check for a submission.  As he reaches for BT's arm to test it, Malinko hits the ref with the piece of broomstick, knocking him out as well.

Maura:  Now why would you do something like that?  You could have won!

Louis:  Malinko wants to have some fun, I think.

Malinko gets to his feet and slowly makes his way up the ramp.  He disappears behind the curtain as BT slowly begins to stir and sit up.

Louis:  We saw the same thing happen two weeks ago from Malinko, who came out with a shopping cart full of weapons, and even things that aren't.  I wonder what he has in store this time.

Malinko re-appears, pushing another shopping cart full of cinder blocks.  He struggles to push it, but manages to break into a run with it.  Quickly, he pushes it down the ramp, then jumps on the back and hangs on with one hand while waving the other in the air.

Malinko:  WHHEEEEE!

Malinko and the cinder blocks manages to get the thing rolling quickly down the ramp.

Louis:  Bloodthirst!  LOOK OUT!

Malinko and the shopping cart crash right intot he back of BT, who was still on the ground.  The shopping cart flips over him, sending cinder blocks everywhere.  Malinko sails off ot it, landing over the barrier and onto the laps of the front row.  Malinko gets back to his feet, slightly shooken up by the shot.  BT is on the ground, clutching his back in pain.  The crowd gasps at the sight.

Maura:  Get some EMPs down here!

Malinko steps over the barrier as EMPs start to come down to the mess.  Malinko steps in and starts arguing with them, telling them he's fine and to let the match continue.  Malinko then steps over and helps BT to his feet, dusting him off and letting him stand up straight.  He presents BT tot he EMPs, telling them he's fine.  Finally, they agree and turn to leave.  Malinko, while watching on, wraps his arm around BT's shoulders in a friendly manner.

Maura:  What the Hell is going on here?

Just as the EMPs leave, Malinko removes his arm and faces BT, dusting off his shoulders again.  BT, looking shook up, gives a small smile of relief.  Malinko stops and nods to BT, as if asking if he was alright.  BT nods.  Malinko yells "good" then uppercuts BT hard in the jaw, sending BT back against the barrier with force.

Louis:  Malinko was just making sure this match wasn't going to end thanks to EMPs.

Malinko looks over as the crowd starts booing harder at him.  He smiles and picks up a cinder block, lifting it over his head.  He steps towards BT and prepares to drop it on him.  BT manages to regain soem strength, kicking Malinko in the groin.  Malinko backs up, dropping the cinder block while falling.  It lands on his leg when he hits the ground, which forces him to scream in pain.  BT quickly gets to his feet and grabs some more cinder blocks, dropping them on Malinko.  BT works very quickly, covering Malinko as best he can with the cinder blocks, trying to pin him down.  Once he runs out of cinder blocks, he moves on to whatever else he can find.  He places a few chairs, a TV and a fire extinguisher on the pile.  Malinko's head is the only visible thing once everything had been placed.  BT smiles and walks back to the ring, grabbing the chair.  He comes back to Malinko with an evil grin as Malinko remains pinned down.

Louis:  Some good thinking on the part of Bloodthirst.  He moved quickly to get everything on.  Now it seems like it's a done deal.  Malinko doesn't seem to like this at all, but he's a sitting duck.

Maura:  Wait...don't tell me!

Malinko looks at BT with a look of pure hatred.  Slwoly, some of the objects begin to move.  Malinko continues to look on as a look of forcing comes over his face.  BT starts backing up as more and more blocks start moving.

Louis:  Malinko looks to be forcing out of the pile!  This is amazing!  And look at Bloodthirst!  He doesn't know what to think!

BT, shocked, charges forward with the chair to swing at Malinko's exposed head.  Malinko manages to free his arma dn stops the chair before he can connect, however.  BT quickly drops the chair and takes off, making his way up the ramp and heading backstage.  Malinko, with his one free arm, pulls himself free from the cinder blocks and makes his way up the ramp after the running man.

Louis:  It looks like this match is moving to the locker rooms.  Bloodthirst is running right now, and Malinko is follwing after him.  We have security and a camera to follow the action as it unfolds.

Malinko moves up the ramp after BT.  As soon as he gets past the ramp, he looks around to find that BT is nowhere in sight.  He slwoly makes his way towards the locker rooms, hunting down BT.  He steps towards the first door, which is the locker room for Christian Cage.  Cage is sitting there, preparing for his two matches when he sees Malinko walk in.  Right away, he gets to his feet and moves towards Malinko, ready to strike.  Security moves in, holding Cage back as Malinko ignores him and starts tossing things aside in search of BT.  Cage, irate, forces against security to get to Malinko.  Malinko finally gives up his search and goes to walk out of the locker room.  He stops to look at Cage, who is still forcing to get his hands on the clown.  Malinko blows him a kiss and flips him off before walking out the door.  Security remain behind, hoping to get to Malinko.

Louis:  It seems Cage wants to jump the gun and get to Malinko early, before the Tornado Tag match that will be happening later on tonight.

Malinko storms out and makes his way down the hall.  He reaches the shipping area, finding no traces of BT.  He looks around, picking up a lead pipe that was left nearby on a pile of wooden skids.  He looks around at the nearly-vacant shipping area.  On the far end, Pain Express is sitting, looking on.  Malinko ignores him, still searching for BT.

Maura:  I think BT has officially left the building.

Louis:  Malinko is not giving up the search.

Malinko stops and looks around.  Suddenly, from out of nowhere, BT jumps out and hits Malinko over the head with a double axe-handle drop.  Malinko drops to his knees from the sudden hit, but gets back up.  BT tries to run, but Malinko dives for him as both men go sliding across the ground.

Louis:  Bloodthirst almost got away again, but Malinko managed to stop him.

Malinko gets to his knees over BT and starts laying punches into BT.  PE moves closer to watch the action.  Other wrestlers join in as well, wanting to see what will happen.  Purr, Jesus, SSB, PE, Steele, Ashton and Edwards all stand around, watching as Malinko continues to pound on BT.  Security manages to catch up to that action.  Malinko steps off BT and goes for his pipe.  BT slowly gets to his feet as Malinko pushes through the crowd to get to the pipe that had slid away when he was hit.  Malinko shoves Purr into SSB, which imediately starts an argument.  PE steps in to separate the two of them, until he is shoved in Jesus.  Suddenly, chaos erupts.  Everyone standing around starts arguing with each other as Malinko gets his pipe.  Malinko tries to get back through the fighting group, but they will not let him get past.  BT quickly gets to his feet and takes off at a sprint, trying to run.  Malinko tries to get to him, but cannot.  Security steps in, trying to stop the others from fighting as Malinko manages to finally get through and chases after BT.  The cameraman goes to follow when someone bumps into him and the camera is dropped.  The feed cuts.

Louis:  It seems...  it seems we have some technical difficulties.  With everyone fighting, someone hit our cameraman and we lost the feed fromt he back.  We're still recieving transmission from the cameraman, and he's saying that security has finally separated the others from fighting.  He's now moving towards the back, trying to find Malinko.  He says they went towards the boiler room of the arena.  He says it is pretty dark back there, but he can hear people talking.  He's going to transmit his feed.

First Voice:  No!  Leave me alone!  Both of you!

Second Voice:  I don't think so.

A scraping noise is heard, along with a short-lived thud and a sound of someone running.

Third Voice:  Great, he's escaped again.

Second Voice:  Come on.

Louis:  It seems the feed has cut again.  We have sent out a few cameraman to scour the backstage area to find them all, but so far they haven't found anything.  I guess we're just going to have to sit around and wait.

Maura:  This has gotten out of hand, really.

Suddenly, BT stumbles out onto the ramp, backing away in fear from something behind him.  He looks back in fear as Malinko and Excidium step out, following him.  Malinko is still holding the lead pipe.  BT tries to get to his feet to run, but Malinko charges forward and boots BT in the side of the head.  BT rolls down the ramp as the two follow slowly.

Louis:  It seems EWA's newest tag team have decided to work together to subdue Bloodthirst.  Bloodthirst is in a world of hurt now.  Not only does he have to face Malinko's wrath, but now Excidium is in the mix.

Malinko moves into the ring as Excidium moves towards BT.  Excidium helps BT to his feet and gives him a stiff right hand into his jaw, sending BT to the side of the ring.  Excidium moves forward and hoists BT into the air into a Gorilla Press, then tosses him over the top rope and slides into the ring.  He gets to his feet and hoists BT to his feet again, shoving him towards Malinko.  Malinko hits BT square in the forehead with the butt of the pipe, knocking BT back towards Excidium.  Excidium grabs BT by the neck with both hands.  He nods to Malinko then hoists him up in the air.  He drops BT with a very powerful Albert Bomb.  While going down, Malinko hits BT in the head with the pipe.  BT is out cold as the crowd starts up another "Holy Shit" chant.  Excidium rolls away as Malinko get back to his feet.  Malinko jumps to the outside and grabs a table.  With the help of Excidium, they wedge it between the ropes on the far side of the ring.

Louis:  For the love of God!  Let him go!

Malinko helps BT to his feet and tosses him into the opposite ropes.  As BT comes back, Malinko grabs the back of his head and charges towards the ropes with the table.  He slams BT through the table head first.  BT tears through the table and falls to the outside, laying motionless on the ground.

Maura:  This is sick!  Malinko just used Bloodthirst as a battlering ram!

Malinko smiles and signals for Excidium to toss BT into the ring again.  Excidium steps out and grabs ahold of the limp body and slides it back into the ring.  Excidium goes under the ring and pulls out two neon lights.  He slides into the ring with them as Malinko delivers a backbreaker to BT.  He places on his finisher as the ref checks for vitals.  With a quick three count, the bell rings and Malinko is declared the winner.  SouthWest Voodoo strikes up as the fans echo in a chorus of boos for the dark clown.  Malinko moves back towards Excidium, who hands him a neon light.  Both men stand face to face, looking at each other and saying several words.

Louis:  Malinko retains his title, but it seems that the newest tag team in the fed are having words.

Several seconds pass as both men continue to talk.  Suddenly, Malinko rears back and swings his neon light towards Excidium's chest.  Excidium ducks under as the light connects with BT, who managed to get to his feet while both men were talking.  Glass shatters everywhere.  Excidium spins and swings as well, connecting with his Neon light as well.  BT drops like a rock as both men look down at him.

Louis:  I'm speachless.  This was incredible!

Excidium and Malinko make their way into the back as EMPs come out to help BT out of the ring.

A polite invitation

Phil walks down the backstage area until he comes upon Cyril and Hell’s Angel standing by the doorway blocking the entrance.  Phil hands them both envelopes with out saying a word and begins to walk away, inside are two invitations to the private skybox that Ian Wynn and the other fed heads now occupy.  They follow Phil up into the room and see a host of old friends and enemies there.  All supposedly invited the same way they where.  Sent tickets in the mail, and finally an invitation to the skybox to watch the fed they loved so dearly die in piece.  Even the Butcher scarred and bandaged sat on a corinthian leather couch eating beer nuts.

Cyril: What the hell is going on here?  Are we supposed to hug and make up?  Fuck this I’m gone.

Mac: This is the last you will ever see of the EWA Cyril, and there is yet one more surprise before the end of the night.  You may wish to stay for it.

Cyril looks around the room again and chooses a seat the furthest away from Rachel Pitt and Layton Mathews and signals for Hell’s Angel to join him.  He reluctantly does so.  The scene switches back to the arena where the ring has been set up for the second match of the evening.

Pain Express vs. Jesus H. Christ

Louis:  Next up we have  Jesus, taking on the Indiana veteran, Pain Express.  Proteus was supposed to be here for this match, but we have just been informed that due to unforseen curcumstances, he could not be here tonight.

Maura:  I'm surprised at Proteus not being here, but with Pain Express and Jesus still squaring off, this should be a good one.

Louis:  That it will, Maura.  These two have had some harsh words for each other over the past week and a half, and there is no love-loss between them.

A harp begins playing. Just then, a voice comes over the music and says "To Hell With Thee" and the "Right Now" remix by Korn beings playing, starting with "Shut up or I'll fuck you up". The lights go bright, and gold lights strobe the audience as Jesus is lowered into the ring by wires.  The wires are disconnected, and Jesus stands int he middle of the ring, looking out to the crowd who recieves him with a mixed reaction.

Louis:  Jesus took a hard loss last week against Tommy Purr.  Lets just hope he's ready to face off against a veteran like Pain Express.

Angry Chair by Alice and Chains blasts out as the fans get to their feet in cheers.  Pain Express steps out to the crowd with a chair in his hands.  He makes his way down to the ring in a sprint, sliding under the ropes and quickly getting to his feet, moving towards Jesus with the chain in hand.  The ref stops him and forces the chair out of his hands.

Maura:  The Indiana Terminator looked like he was going to use that chair.

Louis:  That would have surely cost him the match early on.

The bell rings and both men move to lock up.  PE quickly puts on an arm lock on Jesus, making him rive in pain.  Jesus manages to counter, however, reversing the hold.  PE, shocked that Jesus could reverse it, forces as best he can to get out of the hold.  Finally, the hold is broken and both men step away to get a breath of air.

Louis:  Pain Express didn't think Jesus could get out of that one.

Jesus quickly moves forward, diving with a short cross-body to PE.  PE manages to hold his ground, however, catching Jesus and slamming him to the mat with a scoop slam.  PE quickly dives for the cover.  1...2...kick out.  PE gets to his feet and helps Jesus up as well.  PE whips him into the turnbuckle and charges, slashing Jesus from behind.  Jesus stumbles and falls backwards from the sudden impact.

Maura:  This one looks like it's going to be very one-sided.  Pain Express has the whole size advantage over Jesus.

Jesus quickly gets back to his feet, holding his chest.  PE tries to capitalize, but Jesus is too fast and manages to slide out of the ring.  As PE looks on, Jesus runs to the other end of the ring and slides back in, charging PE.  PE tries to stop him, but Jesus hits a Missle Dropkick.  PE stumbles backwards into the ropes and gets tied up.  Jesus looks on in delight as PE strugles to free himself.  Jesus steps back and quickly charges forward and hits PE with a second Missle Dropkick to the chest, finally freeing PE.

Louis:  Jesus does have more speed over Pain Express.

Maura:  Oh no!  What's that idiot doing here?

Bob suddenly charges down to the ring.  The fans erupt in cheers as Jesus turns to see the mute idiot charging straight towards him.  PE slowly gets to his feet and looks on as well.  Jesus, confused, watches as Bob charges right past him and right past PE, sliding out of the ring again.  He dives over the announce table, nearly taking out both Louis and Maura.  He gets to his feet, pulls up a chair and puts on a headset.  Silently panting, he pulls up a scroll.

Bob's Scroll:  I...*puff*...finally...*puff*...made it...

Maura:  Bob, what are you doing here and why the Hell are your scrolls panting?

Bob's Scroll:  You...try...running down...like...I did.  I'm...out of...breath.

Jesus, finally seeing that PE is back on his feet, ignores Bob and makes his way back over.  PE stops him short, however, with a quick shoulder tackle to the midsection.  Jesus doubles over as PE slowly stands straight, shaking out the cobwebs.  PE hits Jesus with a few knees to the chest, then sets him up for a trademark Facebreaker.  He hits Jesus hard with it, almost knocking Jesus out cold.  He quickly goes for the pin.  1...2...kick out.  PE gets to his feet, not believing that Jesus kicked out.  He helps Jesus back up and quickly whipped him into the ropes.  He came back for a boot to the face.

Louis:  Pain Express is really laying into Jesus right now.

Bob's Scroll:  I met Jesus on a bus once.  He wasn't black then.

Maura:  Why are you even here?

PE helps Jesus back to his feet again and sets him up for a suplex, but Jesus manages to wiggle out of it at the last second.  Quickly, Jesus runs for the ropes, then comes back with a bulldog, sending PE to the mat.  Both men are down for several seconds, until Jesus starts to stir.  He gets to his feet, breathing hard, as PE slowly begins to stir as well.  Jesus moves towards PE, jumping over him and charging for the turnbuckle.  He jumps up with ease and springs backwards with a Springboard Plancha, hitting PE square on.  Jesus gets back to his feet again and helps PE up.  Quickly, he sets up for a Blasphemy, but halfway through PE counters and tosses the smaller man off.  PE steps forward slowly, moving towards Jesus, who is slowly getting to his feet.  PE grabs Jesus' leg and places on an anklelock as Jesus rives in pain.  The ref checks to see if he wants to give up, but Jesus refuses.  Slowly, he tries inching his way towards the ropes.  PE applies more force, hoping to stop him, but Jesus finally starts gaining ground.  Finally, Jesus grabs the ropes and the ref forces PE to release the hold.

Louis:  Jesus is showing a lot more determination tonight.

Maura:  Lets hope he can hold on tonight.  It looks like PE is going to do like he said and show him what it is to wrestle.

Bob's Scroll:  I learned how to wrestle once...when I was in Nam.

Louis:  Bob, you weren't in Nam.

Bob's Scroll:  Was too!  Two weeks ago!  Brutal war... nearly died seventeen times.

PE drags Jesus back to the middle of the ring and quickly goes for the move again.  This time, however, Jesus flips around and counters the hold, kicking PE backwards.  Jesus slowly gets to his feet, limping slightly from the pressure on his ankle.  PE regains his posture and moves back again locking up with Jesus.  PE backs Jesus to the corner, but Jesus quickly jumps to the top turnbuckle when he gets there, then spins around and monkey-flips PE into the center of the ring.

Louis:  Quick thinking for Jesus.

Bob's Scroll:  He was a carpenter too.

PE grips his back in pain as Jesus gets to his feet.  He quickly steps off, trying to work out the pain in his foot.  Finally, he moves back towards PE, who is getting back to his feet.  They move to lock up again, but Jesus quickly goes for a Tornado DDT.  PE counters at the last second, tossing the smaller man off.

Maura:  You'll have to be faster than that to get one on the Indiana Terminator.

PE takes in a deep breath and moves forward again, helping Jesus to his feet.  Both men are tired now, trying to better each other.  They lock up again, this time Jesus takes the quick advantage, backing PE into the corner.  Jesus hits PE with some lefts and rights, working his upper body.  PE quickly counters, grabbing Jesus and turning things around.  PE lays in a few shots of his own, working Jesus over a little harder.  Jesus slumps down from the shots as PE quickly grabs him by the head.  He tosses Jesus over his shoulder, slamming him to the mat.  PE places on a sleeper hold as the ref moves in to check if Jesus gives up.  He check's Jesus' arm.  He lifts it arm once, it drops.  He lifts it a second time, it drops.  He lifts it a third time but it does not drop.  Jesus hangs on, using his second wind to get to his feet.  Quickly, he elbows PE in the ribs several times, releasing the hold completely.  PE stands there as Jesus charges for the opposite ropes and comes back with another cross body.  PE drops and Jesus goes for the pin.  1...2...kick out with force.  Jesus slowly gets to his feet, feeling the pain of being tossed backwards.  PE gets to his feet as well.

Louis:  This one has been back and forth so far.  I think everyone's surprised at how both of these athletes have handled themselves so far.

Bob's Scroll:  So who's competing?

Maura:  Bob, why are you here?

Bob's Scroll:  Because I have nowhere else to go...

Jesus moves in to lock up, but PE sees it and quickly lifts a knee to the stomach of Jesus.  PE quickly hits his Walk Down Middle Jamestown Road, slamming Jesus hard to the mat.  PE quickly applies his Indiana Deathlock as the ref once again goes to check is Jesus wants to quit.  Jesus holds in, but barely.  He struggles with all of his might to move to the ropes, feeling the incredible amount of pressure on his leg.  Finally, he grabs the ropes, holding on for dear life.  The ref forces PE to break the hold and backs away.  As soon as the ref moves out of the way, PE runs over and starts laying the boots to Jesus.  He quickly drags Jesus back into the middle of the ring.  He goes to apply another ankle lock, forcing more pressure on Jesus' leg.

Louis:  Pain Express is really working over Jesus' leg.

Jesus starts riving in pain, trying to free himself.  PE refuses to give up this time, however, applying more pressure.  Jesus tries his hardest to hold in as the ref checks if he's alright.  Jesus slowly tries to pull himself to the ropes, but PE refuses to give an inch.  Finally, out of desperation, Jesus gives in.  The bell rings as Angry Chair by Alice in Chains fires up.  The crowd erupts in cheers as PE releases the hold and lifts his arms in celebration.  He moves over to the corner and climbs, holding his arms in victory.

Louis:  Pain Express picks up the win, but Jesus doesn't seem to agree with the decision.

Maura: Does it matter?  There’s not going to be a rematch after all.

Pain Express rolls out of the ring and backs up the ramp while Jesus mouths him off.

Bob's Scroll:  That's why we lost the war in Nam.

Maura:  Go home, idiot!

Maura slaps Bob in the back of the head and Bob rushes away quickly before another blow lands anywhere near him.

Tag Team Championship Match
First Blood Tornado Rules
Revolution X vs. Excidium & The Great Malinko

The Doors “The End” sounds over the PA system as the ramp clouds with smoke and The Great Malinko emerges from the entrance ramp.  His black cloak trailing behind him as he walks slowly down to the ring, the fans for once not booing him as he makes his way.  The silence in the arena is haunting, as though death had descended on them.  Malinko drapes his cloak over the announcer’s table in front of Maura Downs and smiles at her placing his World of Pain title on top of it.

Malinko: Comfortable?  Good.

But Malinko’s smile quickly fades as the lights go out in the arena. Silence overtakes the crowd as words appear on the screen. "What do you see in the dark When the demons come for you?" The words fade as another line appears. "Death will come when I'm good and ready" I Am by Godsmack fires up as flames erupt from the entrance and the ring posts. Excidium steps out to a mixed reaction, slowly stalking down the ramp. Flames ignite at his feet as he moves, following him down the steel grating. He steps up onto the ring apron and over the top rope, staring down his partner with a monovalent grin.

Maura: Well Excidium and Malinko have made their way to the ring to contend for the recently uninteresting Tag Team Titles.

Louis: This match should be a little different then the tag team match ups we’ve seen recently though.  As both teams realize that the winner will go down in history as the last ever Tag Team Champions in the EWA.  Cage and Steele have hotly contested that Revolution X was and still is the greatest tag team the EWA has ever seen, but they never had to face the dream teams of The Dying Breed and Souless.  This is their chance to prove themselves.

"Seek and Destroy" hits the PA as The Universal Champion appears on the entrance ramp, and the crowd give him a huge pop. The fans giving it their all and leaving all past transgressions behind tonight for the defending champion of the EWA.  Cage walks slowly down the ramp and looks behind him to see if his partner is going to just abandon him for a chance to be fresh for the Main event later in the evening.  An agonizing few moments pass while Malinko and Excidium argue over who will be the first in the ring and Cage waits to see if he’ll be double crossed.    “Somewhere I Belong" by Linkin Park plays on the PA. The fans are wondering what is going on. The song then fades into "Faint" as the lights go off and a strobe light comes on. There is a huge burst of pyro, seemingly lighting up the arena. John Steele comes out, wearing dark sunglasses and a trench coat. He stands in the entranceway and stares at the crowd, getting a huge pop.  He runs down to the ring and Cage keeps pace with him as they both slide into the ring simultaneously.   Malinko and Excidium still busy arguing put aside their disagreement when they find themselves blind sided by Cage and Steele respectively in a flurry of fists.

Maura: Malinko and Excidium getting what for after losing their focus before the match even starts!

Louis: These men really have to work together as a team or this match is all but lost.  If Cage and Steele can put aside their differences then Malinko and Excidium have to follow suit or else...OMG, what a show of power!

Malinko and Excidium, being much larger then their opponents,  both toss back their attackers with monestrous shoves and follow it up with a double clothesline taking down both members of Revolution X.  Malinko finally gives way to Excidium as he tosses Steele out of the ring and goes over the top rope himself in a flying elbow right on top of Steele’s back outside of the ring  leaving Cage and Excidium as the legal men.

Cage is not so easily thwarted though as he gores the rising Excidium back to the mat and quickly raises his elbow and slams it into Excidium’s face trying to break his nose.

Maura: Once again, just to remind you all at home this match is being fought under “first blood rules” the first man to draw blood from his opponent is the victor.  There is no mercy or mollycoddling in this type of match up.  And Malinko better watch it that he doesn’t draw Steele’s blood while their not the legal men in...I’m not sure what the ruling on that would be.

Maura’s concern is justified as while Cage is going to work on Excidium in the ring, attempting to keep the 7 foot beast down so as not to be able to use his size to an advantage, Malinko is working studiously on John Steele to the outside of the ring, having retrieved a chair from under the apron.  After two solid shots with the chair Steele looks dazed and stumbles holding his face in his hands.  Malinko drops the ruined chair and tosses him into the ring post shoulder first leaving him to fall to the ground grabbing his arm in pain.  Looking over to see his tag partner in trouble he spits on Steele and goes into the ring to attack Cage from behind with some clubbing forearms to the back.

Louis: Malinko is getting an warning from the ref on that one as he’s not the legal man in the ring.

Malinko shrugs and moves back behind the ropes and waits for Excidium to struggle over to tag him in.  Malinko receives the tag just in time for Cage to get to his feet and realize that Malinko is now the legal man.  The two stare each other down for a few moments and then charge in together for a test of strength.

Maura: Wow, would you look at these two going at it.

Louis: They’re long time enemies, quite possibly the two most bitter rivals in the EWA’s history.

The two men push back at precisely the same moment sending each other staggering a few steps.  Cage recovers first and charges at Malinko, but he sees it coming and takes Cage down with a drop toe hold and quickly applies an ankle hold that sends Cage howling in pain and clawing for the ropes.  Malinko drags him closer into the centre of the ring and positions himself for more leverage and Cage begins to tap out.

Maura: Cage is slapping the mat.

Louis: But the match can’t end by submission...this isn’t the first time Malinko’s been confused and forgotten the stipulations on the match.  He needs to draw blood.

Maura: I don’t think that Malinko is confused...I think he’s trying to end Cage’s career!

Malinko closes his eyes and puts even more pressure on the ankle lock, his teeth gritted in effort. Excidium shouts out to him to stop it and try to break him open, but Malinko is deaf to the cries.  Until finally Excidium ducks under the ropes to knock some sense into him.  Steele gets back up to the apron and while the ref is busy telling Excidium off, kicks Malinko in the back of the head and quickly Cage over to the corner before rolling out of the ring and goes back to his corner waiting for the tag.  Excidium, frustrated goes back under the ropes and waits for Malinko to come to enough to tag him in.  Malinko begins to get to his feet using the ropes to help himself up and looks over to Excidium with his arm out and then back to Steele. About to be tagged in by Cage.  He puts his hand to his head and sneers before tagging in his partner.

Maura: It looks like Malinko’s working relationship with Steele isn’t exactly gravy either.

But Malinko is the last of Steele’s problems as Excidium charges over to stop the hobbling Cage from tagging him in.  Exicidium’s efforts are for naught however as Cage dives last second to tag in John Steele and bring a fresh man into the match.  Steele jumps in while Exdidium is still bending down to stop Cage and hits the big man with a vicious bulldog DDT and pulls him back up to land a quick snap suplex, followed by another.  Tossing his larger opponent around in a way not thought physically possible.  Steele rolls out of the ring looking for a weapon under the mat while Excidium lays on his back.

Maura: Would you look at the energy John Steele is presenting here today...that was all adrenaline!

Louis: And Steele is being smart about it too.  He realizes that this is first blood and the best way to win is to get something hard...look.

Steele emerges from under the ring with a led pipe and hops back up on the mat and steps between the ropes just as Excidium is getting to his feet but still bent down.  He raises his arm up and with a heavy swipe brings the pipe down on the back of Excidium’s head, sending him down to one knee.  Excidium begins to get up again and the pipe comes down once again on the back of his head.  Steele raises the weapon one more time but Excidium shoots to his feet before the stroke can fall and grabs Steele by the throat and sends him into a tremendous chokeslam.  Holding the back of his head he staggers over to tag Malinko back in and Cage reaches out his hand to Steele who is rolling on the mat holding his back and trying to get his bearings.  Malinko moves to stop Steele from tagging in and Cage doesn’t wait for the tag, he rushes in and tackles  Malinko to the ground, Excidium still disoriented, ducks back into the fray as well but is pulled away from Cage by Steele.  The two fight in a blow for blow match up while Malinko and Cage pumble each other rolling around the mat.  Finally Malinko gains the advantage and is on top of Cage and gets up pulling Cage up with him.  Winding up Malinko gives a massive headbutt to Cage’s face, Cage winds up himself and deals one back, then Malinko, then Cage, until they both wind back and with full force slam eachothers heads into one another.  A fount of blood sprays on the mat just as Steele hits an S5 on Excidium into the ring post, and the bell rings.  The ref steps over to see which one of the two is bleeding, wiping both down with a towel.

Maura: Are they both bleeding?  That was the most vicious display of testosterone I’ve ever seen.

Louis: But Cage wasn’t even the legal man in!  Who knows how this will end up.  Steele and Excidium are still at it though.

Excidium hits a low blow on Steele and then lands a fast but powerful pedigree on the man.  Meanwhile the cloth comes back from Cage’s face and shows that his nose is broken and bleeding profusely.  The ref tries to put a fresh rag to Malinko’s face but he snatches it from the ref’s hand and rubs his own face...showing nothing but unbroken skin!  Excidium lands a final Death’s Delight though a table that no one saw enter the ring, leaving Steele to roll out of the ring and use the crowd barriers to hold himself up.  Malinko and Cage stare death at each other.

Ring announcer: You’re winners, and new tag team champions, by first blood victory EXCIDIUM and THE GREAT MALINKOOOOOOO!

Maura: Wait...a second referee is running down the ramp and conversing with the first.  He’s probably pointing out that Cage wasn’t the legal man in the ring.

The second rep has a few word with the announcer and a new announcement is made.

Ring announcer: The match ruling has been reversed...you winner’s due to disqualification...AND STILL tag team champions, John Steele and Christian Caaaaage!!!!

The first ref runs over quite irate, and two refs talk for quite some time and begin going over a rule book the second ref produced, they begin into a heated argument until Gary Mac comes running down the ramp as well and pulls the two men apart.  Mac looks through the book and tears a page out and shows it to both refs.  Then pushes the ring announcer out of his chair and grabs the mic himself.

Mac: I apologize for the confusion over this match, and for the incompetence of our referees.  Right here in the EWA’s First Blood Match rules it reads... “The first man to make his opponent shed blood is declared the Winner.”  It says nothing about the opponent being legal.  I once again, as much as it pains me to do so...REVERSE the referee’s decision.  Your winners and tag team champions are EXCIDIUM and THE GREAT MALINKO!

Maura: What the hell?

Louis: I’m confused...what a controversial decision made by Gary Mac there.

Maura: If the EWA wasn’t closing tonight you know there would be a rematch in the making, mark my words.

Number One Contendership Match
Tommy Purr vs Excidium
OOr is it?

Maura: And now for the most pointless match of the night...all of these men where to compete to see who would be the next to face the winner of tonight’s Universal Championship match, but as there isn’t going to be a fed, there’s no reason any of these men should try to compete.

“Eye Of the Tiger” suddenly hits and Mike Victory makes his way down the entrance ramp, he carries with him a bundle rapped in a black velvet cloth.  The fans give an uproarious applause for the former GM, Owner, One Champion, and first ever EWA “Hall of Fame” member.

Victory: You’ve seen Phil tonight, and felt the effects of Gary Mac’s attendance at tonight’s show, but now it’s time for me to make my presence felt.  These men have trained hard, and worked their way up...and their hard work will not go un-rewarded.  The winner of this match tonight will become the last ever...

Victory unwraps the bundle and holds it’s contents high over his head.

Victory: United States Champion!

Maura: Oh my god!  They’re bringing back the United States Championship just for tonight.

Louis: And you said they had nothing worth fighting for.

Maura: How many times do I have to tell you to shut up?  Seriously!

United States Championship Match
Tommy Purr vs Excidium

Maura: Up next we have Excidium versus Tommy Purr for the EWA United States
Championship.

[The lights in the arena suddenly go out as a wild cat is heard screeching over
the PA System followed up by the sound of a snapping whip and the lead singer of
Trust Company bellows "UNLEEEEEAAAAASHED!!!" as the sounds quickly fade into
"Downfall" performed by the same band. The Extremetron displays an array of
clips as blue and violet-colored lights begin to flash around the darkened
arena. The crowd cheers loudly as Tommy Purr appears at the top of the stage,
the leggy figure of Mrs. Robinson appearing next to him. The crowd roars with
approval as the two make their way down the steel ramp to the ring. Tommy rushes
past the rows of fans, slapping hands with each one as he makes his way to the
ring. He hops up onto the ring apron and steps over the second-rope, whipping
off his newsboy hat and pointing it into the air to a chorus of cheers, screams,
and whistles. He tosses his hat to Mrs. Robinson on the outside, along with his
coiled whip, and slips off his jacket, whipping it over the top-rope as he
prepares for the upcoming match-up.]

Maura: Tommy Purr looks ready for tonight.

Louis: Yes, now we just have to wait for that freak Excidium.

[The lights go out in the arena.  Silence overtakes the crowd as words appear on
the screen. "What do you see in the dark when the demons come for you?" The
words fade as another line appears. "Death will come when I'm good and ready" I
Am by Godsmack fires up as flames erupt from the entrance and the ring posts.
Excidium steps out to a mixed reaction, slowly stalking down the ramp.  Flames
ignite at his feet as he moves, following him down the steel grating.  He steps
up onto the ring apron and over the top rope, staring down his opponent.]

Maura: And here we go.

[The bell rings and the match begins.  Excidium and Purr lock up with Excidium
gaining the leverage with his size and power.  He pushes Purr back into the
corner and starts hammering into him with his knees.  They both release the
lock-up as Excidium continues with the knees into Purr.  Excidium then grabs
Purr by his head and throws him out of the corner and into the middle of the
ring.  Excidium comes charging after Purr but Purr uses his speed to trip
Excidium and get him into an ankle lock.]

Maura:  Looks like Tommy is trying to wear down Excidium.

Louis: Good.

[Excidium simply kicks back and knocks Purr back into the ropes.  Excidium gets
back up and charges after Purr.  Purr goes for the Tommyknocker by
springboarding off the ropes but Excidium catches him in the air to slam him to
the mat hard.  Excidium picks Purr back up and whips him into the ropes.
Excidium goes for the clothesline but Purr slides under and quickly comes back
to face Excidium while he’s still facing the other way.  Purr dropkicks Excidium
in the back of the knee, which drops Excidium down onto one leg.  Purr goes
straight to work on Excidium’s knee as he continues to kick it.  Excidium cries
out in pain as Tommy continues to jump up and down on the knee.]
Maura: My god, Tommy is trying to break Excidium’s knee.

Louis: Jump harder Tommy.

[Purr finally stops and drags Excidium over the ropes as Excidium tries to
clutch his knee.  Tommy puts Excidium’s leg up on the bottom rope.  Purr then
jumps up and slams his butt down on that upheld leg which causes Excidium to
scream in pain.  Tommy continues to do.  Purr finally stops and drags Excidium
to the middle of the ring.  Purr goes for the cover. 1 . . 2 . . kick out by
Excidium.]

Maura: It seems Excidium still has something left in him after Tommy really put
a hurting on his knee.

Louis: You’re taking to long Purr.  Finish him!

[Purr can’t believe it and argues with the ref. Excidium slowly gets up onto one
leg as Tommy and the ref argue.  Excidium tries to stand up but falls back down
while clutching the knee that Tommy attacked.   Tommy hears Excidium fall and
looks back to see Excidium trying again.  Purr smiles and starts jabbing
Excidium in the head.  Purr hits Excidium with a big European uppercut, which
sends Excidium back to the ground.  Tommy covers Excidium again.  1 . . 2 . .
Excidium pushes Tommy off of him with sheer power.  Tommy doesn’t like that and
starts putting the boots to Excidium.  Once he feels that Excidium is going to
stay down, Tommy climbs up onto the turnbuckle and tries for a guillotine leg
drop.  However, at the last second Excidium moves out of the way and Tommy hits
nothing as he clutches his leg.]

Maura: Both wrestlers are down after Tommy missed that leg drop.

Louis: Get up Purr!

[The ref starts the count. 1; Excidium and Tommy aren’t moving. 2; Tommy is
trying to get up as Excidium is still not moving. 3; Tommy is still trying to
get up. 4; Nothing yet. 5, 6, 7, 8; Purr gets up onto one leg but is still
hurting, but Excidium hasn’t moved yet.  9; Tommy gets up and falls back down.
However, Excidium all of a sudden sits up and stands on both legs.  The crowd
goes ballistic as Excidium bows for the crowd.]

Maura: Wow, what a change of events here.  Tommy Purr is down while Excidium is
up.

Louis: God damn that freak!  Get ‘em Purr.  You can still do it.

[Excidium walks over to Purr and easily picks him up.  Excidium puts Purr
between his legs and powerbombs him, but Excidium doesn’t let go of Purr.  He
picks Purr back up and powerbombs him again and again.  The crowd starts
counting “1! 2! 3! 4! 5!”  Excidium finally lets go of Purr after the fifth
consecutive powerbomb.  Excidium goes for the cover.  One!  Two!!  ThrnooOOO.
Purr miraculously gets his shoulder up.]

Maura: What an amazing show of endurance by Tommy Purr!

Louis: There you go Purr.  You can do it.

[Excidium picks Purr back up and whips him into the ropes.  Purr is in a daze
and doesn’t see Excidium’s clothesline coming as he is lifted off his feet and
flipped backwards through the air by it.  Excidium bodysplashes Purr as the
crowd goes “Ohhhh.”  Excidium goes for the cover again.  1!  2!!  ThreNOOO Tommy
kicks out again.  You can start to see the frustration building on Excidium’s
face.  Excidium picks up Purr and throws him into the corner again.  Excidium
goes charging in after Purr.  Purr lifts himself up and floats over Excidium.
Excidium runs into the post and holds his chest as the wind is knocked out of
him.  Tommy sees this and springboards off the top rope.  He hits Excidium with
the Tommyknocker.  Tommy holds onto Excidium and goes for the cover.  1!  2!!
Kick out by Excidium.]

Maura:  The momentum in this match seems to be changing again.

Louis: Alright, go Tommy.

[Tommy goes to the corner and climbs the turnbuckle.  He signals for the
Tommyknocker.]

Louis: Go Tommy Go!

Maura: Shut up already.

[Excidium gets up facing away from Purr and doesn’t see Tommy on the turnbuckle.
Excidium finally gets to his feet and turns around just as Tommy comes off the
top rope.  Excidium grabs Tommy by the throat in mid-air and hits him with
Death’s Delight.  The crowd goes “Holy Sh*t!”]

Maura: DEATH’S DELIGHT IN MID-AIR!

Louis: NOOOOooooo!

[Excidium with the cover 1!  2!! 3!!!  This match is over.]

Maura: Excidium is winner, and the last ever reigning EWA United States Champion!

Louis: Tommy, you’re a loser for losing to that freak.  I hate you!

Maura: Shut up Louis before he comes over here and kicks your butt.

Main Event
Universal Title Match
Steel Cage
Christian Cage vs. John Steele

Maura: And FINALLY, the match we've been waiting on for what seems like months now!

Louis: That's right, and here comes our first entrant in the STEELE CAGE match!

(The music hits with familiarity. The fans rise from their seats, giving a satisfied pop as smoke rolls from the ring entrance, and lasers dance across every surface in the EWA arena. As John Steele comes out of the entrance, he poses in time to be in unison with a shot of tall pyro on either side of him. He smiles and walks to the ring, clapping a few fans' hands along the way and pointing to a few holding signs like "Revolution X 4 Life!" and "STEELE CAGE '03'04!" He walks up the steps and into the cage, waiting on none other than?)

Louis: And here comes the champion- Mr.Christian Cage

(Cage's music interrupts Steele's, and he appears in the entranceway, receiving a standing ovation. His pyro goes off, but he is staring straight ahead towards the cage, limping just slightly, and his broken nose swollen a bit. He walks through the aisle, coming to the cage. He climbs in, and the ref gives his usual routine, and then he himself steps out of the ring.)

Louis: Let's get this match started!

(The bell rings, but neither Steele nor Cage move from their spots. The two stare each other down intensely, as if daring the other to move using just their eyes. Finally Cage makes the first move. He begins circling with Steele, the fans going crazy.)

Maura: It sure is intense in that ring!

(The two stop at the same time, and Steele smirks. Immediately, the two lock up, getting a huge pop from the crowd and camera flashes abound. They struggle for a moment, and the bigger Christian Cage wins out. He locks Steele into a sleeper hold, taunting to the crowd- urging them to go louder.)

(Steele tries to loosen Cage's grip, but Christian's not about to let go of John as long as he can hold him there.)

Maura: And Cage is just sapping the strength from his partner in the ring tonight!

Louis: C'mon Cage, let the guy get a breath!

(Steele finally gets enough energy to throw an elbow into Cage's side. That loosens the hold just a hair. Another elbow, and another. Finally, the fourth elbow to Cage's ribs brings the hold to an end. Steele quickly sidesteps, and he puts Cage down with a Russian Leg Sweep.)

Louis: And now Steele is setting the pace for the match.

(Steele is up first, and he is ready when his partner gets up. Steele and Cage begin trading blows, one after another until Cage gets enough time to add a left hook, which sends Steele reeling. Christian quickly grabs him, and Irish Whips him in the opposite direction, he hits the ropes, but they give to much, and John's back ends up colliding with the metal exterior, sending him to faceplant the mat.)

Louis: That looked hideous!

Maura: Not half as hideous as your momma!

Louis: You've never once been funny.

(Cage picks John up by the hair, and he begins sending slow right's into his face. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Block! Steele gets an arm up, and he uses the split second to begin working on Cage's weak nose with a set of punches to the champ's face.)

Maura: Steele really taking advantage of Cage's injuries here tonight.

(Steele shoves Cage hard into the ropes, and as he bounces back)

Louis: Oh my God!

(John shows his adaptability by using an altered version of the S5! Cage hits the mat hard, and he's not moving any time in the near future on his own. Steele looks up to the top of the cage.)

Maura: Get up there Steele!

(Steele does indeed take that advice. He begins climbing and makes it halfway when he feels a hand on his foot. He looks down to see a bloody, smiling Cage yank him down to the mat, the ring shaking with the force of the impact.)

Louis: Now that was nasty!

(Cage taunts Steele, and then he picks him up by his hair. They tie up, and Cage wins out easily. He sends a kick into Steele's midsection. Steele doubles over, grabbing his stomach as Cage sets up)

Maura: EVENT HORIZON!

(Cage lifts Steele and slams him on the mat, his finisher complete. Cage pulls Steele up again. He grapples, and then Irish Whips Steele towards the turnbuckle. As he lets go, he chases after, but at the last second Steele uses his arms to lift himself up into the air, allowing Cage to run smack into the turnbuckle, sending blood from his nose in a red cloud into the air.)

Louis: That may have just saved Steele from a loss there, Maura!

(Cage is on the ground holding his face, and Steele approaches. John begins stomping on Cage's hurt foot, really milking the injury. Cage howls in pain, and Steele grabs his partner's hair, pulling him up. He tosses Cage towards the ropes, who mostly limp-runs to them. On the return, however, Steele goes down for the suplex too soon, and Cage lifts his knee at full force to send Steele straight up into the air, and back down on the mat hard.)

Maura: Nasty attack right there!

Louis: Ah, Steele had it coming

(Cage picks Steele up again, bringing him to his feet, and the crowd oooh's as John's eye appears to be swollen shut from the attack of Cage's knee.)

Maura: Put some ice on that later, Johnny-boy!

(Cage sends a couple of left's into John's face, but on the next one, Steele dodges quickly, and delivers a vicious punch to Cage, which sets him spinning. Cage stumbles a bit away from Steele, but Steele rushes and administers a sloppy-looking bulldog, both competitors showing fatigue after a brutal match thus far.)

Louis: Get to climbing!

(John climbs, and climbs and climbs. Halfway up, Cage has barely stirred. He finally reaches the top, the crowd cheering, the announcers urging but he does not step over. Steele looks down, as if measuring the distance.)

Maura: Oh no?

(Steele leaps, photo flashes going off as he falls, elbow outstretched. Though Cage stirs. Cage rolls to the side at the last second, Steele slamming into the mat, and he doesn't even have a notion of movement afterwards. Cage slowly gets to his feet, though he rocks back and forth once up, barely able to hold his balance)

Louis: Go Cage!

(Cage begins climbing the cage slowly, his ankle giving him hell. He is on the announcer's side, and they urge him upward during his climb. He reaches the top, and John Steele as awoken. John looks up, sees Cage, and does what comes to him first)

(Steele runs straight into the metal wall, shaking it horribly, and Cage falls but to the outside and Steele howls in rage and shock. Cage crashes through the announcers table.)

Maura: Holy shit!  Our table!

Louis:  Never mind the table...Cage wins! That counts, he is still champion!

Cage is helped up by the EMTs and Steele is let out of the structure by the main door.  The two men stare each other down for a few moments and as the ref brings the Universal Title over John snatches it from his hand, and calls for a mic.  Cage realizes that he’s in no condition to take it from his former partner by force.  Steele raises the mic to his mouth and sneers ruefully.

Steele: I think this is yours.

Steele hands the belt over to a thunderstruck Christian Cage and Cage embraces the man like a bother.  After a moment or two Steele returns the embrace and helps him limp up the entrance ramp to the thunderous applause of the crowd.

The End

The lights go out and the spot lights flare up and a strange parade flows out of the entrance ramp to the theme music of the EWA.  Many of the former superstars walk down in single file and form a circle around the ring, while the former owners follow them down the line and walk up the steel steps into the ring.  Phil motions for a mic once every body is in place.

Phil:  The Great Malinko, Excidium, Rachel Pitt, Layton Mathews, Hells Angel, Cyril Acheston, Dave Van Dam, Amp, Christian Cage, Sam Hain, Jay Edwards, Jordan Michaels, The Bright Spark, The Butcher, Tornado, Hank, Nuclear Cape, Orange Bullet, Killer, Kris Korps, Thurman Skydive, Stunning Steve Blanchard, the list goes on and on.  You have been the champions for this federation since it’s birth and today you must watch it die, but before we do that I ask it of the fans to give one last round of applause for those who made the backbone of this organization, those that gave up their sweat blood and tears to entertain you.  I ask you to give it up for the champions of the EWA!

A tremendous roar from the crowd sounds as the people wave signs and whistle loudly, all in the house are standing and applauding and cheering.  It has a visible effect on all in attendence.  Even hard cases like Cyril and Excidium look visibly moved.  The ovation goes on for several minutes and finally Gary Mac calls for silence, as Mike Victory takes the spotlight.

Victory: Yes, we invited you here tonight to honour you one last time, and thank you for what you have given us.  But a certain select few we have asked here for a reason.  Would Rachel Pitt, Christian Cage, and The Butcher please step into the ring?

All three wrestlers look confused but do as asked they are positioned in line standing in front of Mike Victory who produces three medallions, handing one to Ian Wynn, one to Phil and keeping one in his own hands.  The silence in the arena is palpable.

Phil: The Butcher, former Universal Champion, for your services done for the EWA both on camera and behind the scenes, you are inducted into the EWA Hall of Fame.

Another enormous roar from the fans as The Butcher bends his head down and Phil places the medallion over his head.  He holds it up and looks at it with tearful eyes.  Mike Victory motions for silence once again.

Victory: Rachel Pitt, former One Champion, former Mid-West Warrior Champion, former Tag Team Champion, former Toughman Champion, for your services done for the EWA both on camera and behind the scenes, you are inducted into the EWA Hall of Fame.

The fans erupt in cheers once again for Rachel Pitt as she bends her neck and is given her medal which she cradles gently in her palm for examination.

Wynn: And lastly but definitely not least.  Christian Cage, first ever One Champion, first ever Universal Champion, Last ever Universal Champion.  From Alpha to Omega, you have been with the EWA.  The only standing member from day one.  For your services done for the EWA both on camera and behind the scenes, you are inducted to the EWA Hall of Fame.

The last bout of applause is the loudest yet as the fans show their appreciation for all three of the new Hall of Fame inductees.

Ian Wynn: Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the EWA, Past and Present!  Good night!

“Good Riddance” by green day starts up as the jumbotron sparks up with a montage of images of great moments and moments of hilarity, moments of sadness and moments of shock and disgust, the glory of EWA’s history from day one to now.

Good Riddance

(fuck)
Another turning point a fork stuck in the road
Time grabs you by the wrist directs you where to go
So make the best of this test and don't ask why
It's not a question but a lesson learned in time
It's something unpredictable
But in the end is right
I hope you had the time of your life
So take the photographs and still frames in your mind
Hang it on a shelf in good health and good time
Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial
For what it's worth it was worth all the while
It's something unpredictable
But in the end is right
I hope you had the time of your life
It's something unpredictable
But in the end is right
I hope you had the time of your life
It's something unpredictable
But in the end is right
I hope you had the time of your life

Louis: What a show!  There Maura aren’t you glad you stayed for that?

Maura: Positively tickled, jackass.  This is Maura Downs saying good night from the EWA, forever.

Louis: Are you crying Maura?

Maura: SHUT UP! SHUT UP!  SHUT UP!
