![]() Louis Carvanelie: Well lets just find out. (Clint Eastwood By The Gorillas hits and the fans erupt with cheers as from the back walks Ian Wynn, he has a microphone in hand and he stands on the entrance way looking around.) Louis Carvanelie: Why is he back out here, didnt he do enough a few minutes ago? Maura Downs: Shut up Louis, this man created EWA so just let him speak. (The fans continue a Ian Wynn chant as his music dies down, he looks around the crowd once again and then lifts the microphone to his mouth.) Ian Wynn: I knew there was something I forgot to talk about when I was out here, that being our first match up in EWA. See it has come to our attention backstage that John Steele has decided to call it a day and walk away from wrestling, and in particularly EWA. So that left us with LEnfante Terrible here without an opponent, but the thing is. He didnt show up, we got a call from his agent I think it was asking for us to give him a few weeks off so the first round match up between Steele and Terrible has been cancelled. Sorry folks but this happens, we will move on with the show, have a great night. (His music hits again as he raises his hand to the fans who cheer him, they are a little disappointed that the first match hasnt happened.) Maura Downs: Well Louis looks like we wont have John Steele in EWA, thats a big loss. Louis Carvanelie: If you call losing a dollar a big loss, lets face it he wasnt EWA material before and he wouldnt be now. Maura Downs: Dont be so rude Louis. ![]() Louis Carvanelie: And before this up-coming match which is Jeff King verses Tommy Purr, we're getting word that a former EWA monster has arrived to the arena! Maura Downs: Oh, God, here we go. (The screen flickers to a shot of the wrestler's entrance, and just shows a blank door for a moment. It opens, and out steps.) Louis Carvanelie: And Cyril Acheston is in the house! (The crowd gives a mixed reaction.) Maura Downs: Whoopee. Louis Carvanelie: Still carrying that grudge? Maura Downs: Wouldn't you? (The screen shows Cyril walking through the corridor, ignoring the camera. At last he stops in front of a door. He pulls a key from his pocket, slides it into the lock and opens the door. The camera hurries for it, but the door slams before it can get a shot of the inside. The screen fades as it focuses on the nameplate, "AoC".) Maura Downs: "AoC"? Louis Carvanelie: We can only assume. ![]() Louis Carvanelie: One match already in the books tonight with *** picking up a big victory to move on in what is shaping up to a great tournament to crown the EWA Universal Champion. Maura Downs: Damn skippy. The feeling in the locker room is nothing if not electric. Louis Carvanelie: I think that's because there are so many question marks and so much at stake. Maura Downs: Well, we've got match number two coming up, and what a contrast in styles as we see the high flying Tommy Purr versus what can only be described as an old man in Jeff King. Louis Carvanelie: Yes, but as the late Aaliyah once sang, "age ain't nuthin' but a number." King has proven himself time and again in his career, and I really don't think he can be counted out in any match. Maura Downs: That is true. Let's get to the action. (The arena goes dark for a moment until the sound of a wild cat is heard roaring over the PA system, followed by the snap of a whip. The crowd jumps to their feet with excitement as multicolored lights begin to flash and "Can't Stop (22nd Century Lifestyle)" performed by Pre Thing begins to play throughout the arena. The crowd is cheering wildly as Tommy Purr appears on the steel stage with Bombshell at his side. Tommy wears his baby blue ring attire, covered up with his long black overcoat while wearing a black newsboy cap. Looped in one hand is his black leather whip. As Tommy and Bombshell saunter down the steel rampway, Tommy jolts forward a bit and points directly into the air, setting off an explosion of black and baby blue-colored confetti into the air as the fans continue cheering!) (Tommy slaps hands with some of the fans as Bombshell delivers some hand slaps and a kiss on the cheek to a young fan on the other side of the aisleway. Bombshell stays on the outside of the ring as Tommy jumps up onto the ring apron and flips backward over the top-rope and into the ring. Tommy takes his free hand, briskly takes off his newsboy cap, and points at the audience with it, setting off a series of four pyros that erupt from the ringposts! The crowd continues to cheer as Tommy continues pointing to each occupied side of the arena, each section trying to cheer louder than the one before it. Tommy smiles and takes off his coat and hands all of his garments to Bombshell before pumping himself up in the ring as the multicolored lights continue flashing.) (Purr limbers up in the ring, and speaks quickly to Bombshell.) (The ring lights go out, a black and white video of martial artists fighting hits the jumbotron, and a golden spotlight illuminates the entranceway. A ripping guitar starts to play as More Human than Human hits the pa, and Jeff King steps out from behind the apron , decked out in a fancy, old fashioned suit, hair parted off to the side, and greased down. He smiles to the crowd with all the pizazze of a salesman, but with the personality of a shark. Comfortable, yet slightly unsettling images display on the jumbotron, Traditional families eating traditional dinners, watching traditional television, playing with traditional toys...but nobody looks happy. They all have a sullen-eyed look about them which underlies the true feelings inside of them. Jeff makes his way to the ring, spinning his cane, and doffing his hat to the fans, who, in turn, boo him. Climbing into the ring, he removes his suit, revealing his wrestling gear beneath it. He goes to the to the back turnbuckle and taunts the fans with his cane, which he drops outside the ring as he goes to the center of the ring.) (The referee checks both men and calls for the bell.) (The two men lock up in the middle of the ring, Purr taking the early advantage, dropkicking his opponent in the chest. King stumbles back, but catches himself on the ropes and is on top of Purr before he can get back to his feet. King lands a air of double axe handle blows to the back of Purr's head, then lifts him to his feet and tosses him into the turnuckle, landing two more pectoral chops. The crowd cheers out as the chops echo through the arena.) (King looks into the crowd. Purr takes the opportunity and falls to his knees, landing an uppercut lowblow. Then he reaches for King's pants and pulls him through the top and middle ropes. King lands on the floor hard near Bombshell.) Louis Carvanelie: What could Bombshell be saying to King. Maura Downs: I doubt she's giving him her recipe for lemon squares. (Bombshell leans over and says something to King, distracting him long enough for Purr to come to his feet and climb the turnbuckle. Purr lauches himself off the top rope with a plancha. But, King pulls Bombshell in front of him.) Louis Carvanelie: Oh, God! Bombshell just took the worst of that manuveur. Maura Downs: And King is on the prowl. (King circles around Purr and lays two kicks to the back of hishead and lifts him, throwing him back into the ring. King slides in behind him and lifts him to his feet. King irish whips purr into the far turnbuckle and follows in behind with a vicious chop to chest. Purr falls to one knee as King plays to the crowd. As King turns back to Purr, Purr lowblows King, sending him to his knees. Purr gets to his feet and smiles, rubbing his crothch on head.) Maura Downs: That certainly sends a message to King. Louis Carvanelie: What message is that exactly, "hey I love your outfit?" Maura Downs: Something like that. (Purr climbs to the second turnbuckle and delivers a side kick to King's head, sending him to the mat. Purr lands on his feet with catlike grace and looks at Bombshell, who is righting herself at ringside.) (Purr lifts King to his feet and irish whips him to the ropes and hits a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker on King, who falls to the mat in pain.) Louis Carvanelie: Tommy Purr has certainly brought his A game tonight. I think he's got a great shot at coming away with the Universal Title around his waist. Maura Downs: It's kind of early to being talking like that. King is no pushover. (Purr stands over King, looking down on him. But, King opens his eyes quickly and kicks Purr in the groin. Purr falls back and into the turnbuckle. King gets to his feet, holding his back. He moves to Purr and lays into him with one kick, then other. Then he takes Purr by the hair and pulls him out of the corner, moving around him to the second turnbuckle. King then performs a bulldog on Purr and rolls over top of him for the pin. The ref slides into place 1.......2.......Purr kicks out. King punches Purr in the face and covers him again, and again Purr kicks out at a 2 count.) Louis Carvanelie: King must have really thought that he had Purr with that vicious bulldog. Maura Downs: But, its going to take much more than that to take care of EWA's rainbow warrior. Louis Carvanelie: Uh, that's not really politically correct. Maura Downs: Lou, you've known me long enough to know that I don't really care about what is and what is not politically correct. Anyway, anyone as far out of the closet as Mr. Purr is not going to care. (King lifts Purr to his feet and pummels him with a series chops to the chest of the flambouyant Purr, who falls back into the ropes. Purr fights back, and the two men find themselves standing in the middle of the ring landing blow after blow on one another. Suddenly King lands a kick to Purr's midsection and irish whips Purr into the ropes and hits Purr with a back elbow. Purr hits the mat hard. King hits a pair of Judo style hell kicks to Purr's chest, but on the third one Purr catches King's leg and twists it, sending King to the mat. Purr gets to his feet and applies a single leg Boston crab. He wrenches the leg of King back. The ref asks if King if he wants to throw in the towel, but King refuses and continues crawling slowly to the ropes. Purr sees this and chages the position of the leg and falls down into an SFT. King cries out, but still refuses to give in. After nearly a minute King gets to the ropes. Purr just smiles and hops off the much older King, and perches himself on the top rope. King continues to hold the rope for a moment and then releases. He holds his leg as he gets to his feet, and is immediately met with a flying hurricanrana.) Louis Carvanelie: Purr is back on top in this match. Maura Downs: King's Judo mastery doesn't seem to be a physical match for the much faster, more lucha inspired style of Tommy Purr. Louis Carvanelie: Purr has got to stay on top of King, or he'll find himself on his back at the hands of one of King's killer throws. (Purr covers King 1.....2......kickout!) Maura Downs: Again, I think Purr is underestimating the cardiovascular development of Jeff King. Louis Carvanelie: Yeah, I'm pretty sure that he's not as old as the character he portrays. And I think that that causes many of his opponents to underestimate his ability to take punishment. (Purr slaps the mat and gets to his feet. He Pulls King to his feet, but once again King is playing possum and as Purr goes for a chop King catches his hand, turns it backward painfully and tosses Purr to the ground, utilizing his Judo ability. King looks into the crowd and then lands a downward punch to Purr's chest. Purr coughs and a small amount of blood bubbles from his mouth.) Maura Downs: King's drawn first blood in this matchup. I hope that this doesn't mean Purr has sustained internal injuries. Louis Carvanelie: Unfortunately it tends to mean just that. (Purr tries to sit up, but holds his ribs tightly. King lifts him to his feet slowly and lifts him and slams him to the mat. Then he makes his way to the turnbuckle and climbs to the second rope, and leaps off, attempting a fistdrop, but Purr rolls out of the way and King falls to the mat on one knee.) Maura Downs: Purr just narrowly missed being eliminated from this tournament. (Purr and King get to their feet. King strikes him in the chest and Purr falls back. As he falls he take King by the tights and slams him neck first into the second rope. He runs off the opposite ropes and hits his Tomfoolery.) Louis Carvanelie: Many people may know that move as the 619, but Purr calls it Tomfoolery, and King is on his back. (Purr is slow to recover from the move, but manages to cover King. 1......2.....kickout. King simply pokes Purr in the eye and rolls out from underneath him as he rolls back. King hopes to his feet, and Purr does the same, leaning on the ropes. King takes a step forward and hits Purr in the chest with a flat handed strike, sending Purr through the ropes and onto the floor.) Maura Downs: The momentum in this match has definitely shifted. King is looking great and using explosive blows to take the wind out of Tommy Purr. Louis Carvanelie: Workers who don't use what would often be considered a traditional wrestling style are often at a disadvantage in pro wrestling because they are using a style outside of what is considered to be benificial within the rules of wrestling. But, King doesn't care about that. He is absolutely dominating right now. Maura Downs: There can be no doubt about that. (King slides out of the ring and lifts Purr to his feet and hits strike after strike to Purr's neck and chest. Bombshell looks distressed and runs in behind King, hitting him on the back. King turns around and laughs, taking her by the face and pushing her to the ground. As he turns back Purr punches King in the face, bloodying his nose. King falls back a step and Purr hops up on the ring apron and leaps off kicking him in the head. Purr checks on Bombshell, know nods that she is okay. Purr stands and throws King back into the ring.) Louis Carvanelie: Momentum shift!! (Purr follows King to the apron and springboards into the ring and hits a plancha on King, and into the cover. But, King reverses the pin attempt. 1.....2.....3!) Maura Downs: Oh my God, it's over just like that. King uses great ring positioning to pick up the victory. Louis Carvanelie: But, I think its important to note that Purr, at times, was absolutely dominate in this affair, and I think that that's just a testimate to Purr's in-ring ability. Maura Downs: A lot of people may not like his persona, but you can't argue with his heart or ability. Louis Carvanelie: Nevertheless King moves on. ![]() (The show heads backstage where we see Johnny Legend talking to one of the backstage crew, he pats him on the back and walks off with his bottle of water in his hand. The camera follows him and he is about to enter his locker room by Bob Taylor comes up behind him.) Bob Taylor: Hey champ, how are you? Johnny Legend: What do you want? Bob Taylor: Just thought I would wish you some luck. Johnny Legend: Why would I need luck? Bob Taylor: Your facing Cyril tonight. Johnny Legend: Still, I dont need luck, now out my way. Bob Taylor: I believe you do, even more so since its a no disqualification match. Johnny Legend: Great, lets me punish him more. (Legend smiles cockily at Taylor who just becomes angry.) Bob Taylor: What about a hell in a cell. Johnny Legend: Ill throw him off the cell roof. Bob Taylor: Hell in a cell with some TLC involved. Johnny Legend: Look what ever match you want is fine with me, now go and try and bug someone else. (Legend smiles and walks into his locker room and closes the door. Taylor walks off, looking angry as the scene cuts to Louis and Maura.) Maura Downs: Looks like Legend is pumped for his match tonight. Louis Carvanelie: And it looks like we have a TLCell type match between them. Maura Downs: Malinko and Wynn will never allow it. Anyway lets move on up next is Chris Angel verses Carrington Banks. ![]() (The arena lights go out and for a moment the arena is engulfed in darkness. White light interrupts the darkness as it lights up under the ramp and around the ring which still doesn't provide a lot of light for visiblity. A perpetual silence spreads through the crowd. Then an amplifer screech is heard as "Wait" by EarShot blasts on the PA system and "Pure Evolution" appears on the tron. The fans erupt into pure choas as a dark silhouette shows up on top of the ramp entrance as the light shines through the ramp the audience see's the shadow jumping back and forth in place as if warming up. The silhouette begins down the ramp as the lights of the arena make way and the audiences see a figure in with a black hooded jacket on with the hood up and the bottom half with black attire. Chris Angel hops on the apron, but pauses on one knee as if to listen to roars of the crowd. Chris Angel continues by entering the ring and paces backward in a circle motion looking at the crowd, completing it twice, before dropping to his knee's for a pose as a spotlight focuses on him. Chris Angel stands from the pose and pulls his hood back to reveal his face and unzips his jacket to get set for his match.) Maura Downs: Looks like we are ready for this match-up between Chris Angel and Carrington Banks which promises to be an interesting and event-filled match-up pitting two guys of similiar stature and similiar style against one another. Louis Carvanelie: Chris Angel staring down his opponent as Carrington Banks makes his way down to the ring. I'm not a betting man Maura, but I'm putting all my chips on Chris Angel. (Chris Angel looks fired up as he takes advantage in the opening exchanges between Angel and Banks, knocking Banks down and yelling at him to get back up which he does, into a knife edge chop followed by a straight right arm from Angel, sending Banks down again. Angel gets on the second turnbuckle and drops a knee across Banks throat, before dragging him up and whipping him into the ropes, and looking for a clothsline, but Banks ducks under it and looks for a flying crossbody, but Angel catches him, and shakes his head. He drops him down for a back breaker, and keeps a hold of him, and then hits the fallaway slam.) Louis Carvanelie: An impressive start to the match from Chris Angel, who looks set to take EWA by storm. Maura Downs: These two athletes very similiar in build with Chris Angel slightly shorter than his opponent. They wrestle very similiar styles as well Louis so it should be interesting how this match shapes up. Louis Carvanelie: At the moment though, Chris Angel is dominating, and Banks is in trouble. Angel has a headlock locked in, and Banks is slowly fading. (Angel has a smirk on his face as the crowd try and will Banks into the match-up by stomping their feets on the ground. Banks throws an arm into the air signalling he isn't out of it just yet. It looks like the crowd are doing their job as Banks makes his way to his feet and drives his elbow into Angels ribs. He does it again and forces Angel to release his grip, making a beeline towards the ropes, but Angel stops him in his tracks by pulling him back towards him, and hitting a reverse neckbreaker on Banks. Banks tries and gets to his feet but Angel keeps kicking him down, turning and raising his arms in a cocky manner to the crowd which earns him boos and jeers. That's just the moment Banks was looking for though, as he rolls Angel up in a school boy. 1......2.... Angel pops out of the pinning attempt. Angel gets up in a fury and Banks meets him on his feet, as Angel misses with a right hand and Banks goes on the offensive. Rights and lefts connect with Angels face, sending him straight into the corner where he doesn't even get a chance to breathe. Banks fires at Angel with a flurry of chops across the upper region of Angels body and then places him up on the top turnbuckle, and connects with a slap across the face.) Maura Downs: Banks has had enough, and that show of disrespect there towards the veteran Angel proves that. Louis Carvanelie: He's mounting some offense I have to say, and with impressive intensity as well but oooh, looked as if he was going for a superplex there, but Angel stops him in his tracks with a vicous right foot to the face. Shoulder block from the top, and just like that, Angel is back in the drivers seat. (Angel gets to his feet and lifts Banks up as well, and sends him shoulder first through the middle ropes and into the steel ringpost. Banks hovers for a second before falling out of the ring and clutching his shoulder. Angel goes after him but as he steps through the ropes the referee pulls him back. This angers Angel who immediately starts arguing with the referee and doesn't see Banks roll into the ring. Banks winds up as Angel turns around and Banks goes for a clothsline, but Angel ducks out of the way and the referee is taken out instead. Banks looks shocked for a second, as Angel turns him around and looks for a right, but Banks counters, blocking the punch and taking him down with a DDT. He covers but there is no referee to make the count. Frustrated, Banks gets to his feet and prods the referee with his foot. The referee doesn't seem to be coming to, so Banks turns his attention back to Angel who has now got to his feet. He swears at him, sticking his middle finger up, and Angel can't believe it. He lashes out at Banks who manaeuvers around his attack, and hits the ropes, coming back with a flying lariat knocking down Angel, who jumps back to his feet and straight into a standing dropkick.) Maura Downs: The referee is still down but Banks is becoming increasingly impressive as the match goes on. Louis Carvanelie: I think he's found the key Maura. He's infuriating Angel and taking him off his game. Maura Downs: And that is something that is very hard to do, but somehow Banks is managing it. (Banks goes to the top rope and hits a legdrop on Angel, and then picks him up off his feet and sends him straight head first into the turnbuckle, before dropkicking him back into it when he moves out. Banks places Angel up on the top rope, and the then in the tree of woe position before stomping him in the ribs. He raises him up a little and chops him down hard, sending his back straight into the corner. He repeats it and then pushes Angel, propping him up on the top turnbuckle and climbing up to the second. He hooks him up for a german suplex and arches his back, throwing him over, but with amazing agility, Angel lands on his feet, but Banks goes to the top rope and quickly with agility of his own hits a moonsault, taking out Angel body to body but Angel rolls through and scoops Banks up on his shoulder, and hits a shoulder breaker. As soon as Banks body hits the mat, Angel targets the shoulder with quick boots. He puts him in a japaneze straight armbar, and tweaks the shoulder, leaving Banks screaming in pain. Banks gets to his feet and tries to flip out of it, but Angel keeps a hold of him and boots him in the gut, keeping a lock on the arm and dropping him with a reverse DDT and then straight back in the hold. Finally though, the referee is getting to his feet, and in time to see Banks reach the ropes. He orders the hold to be broken, which it is as Angel drags Banks to the middle of the ring, but Banks counters with a mule kick and Angel is staggered. Banks nips up and as Angel makes a dart towards him he hooks in a head scissor take-down, and Angel rolls through and gets to his feet, running into an armbar, but Banks releases it, holding his shoulder in pain, and Angel takes advantage with a kick to the arm, and then an arm wrench, as he pulls on the shoulder and sends Banks to the mat. Still holding the arm, he kicks Banks in the stomach and the ribs, over and over again, before releasing after a devastating final kick to the ribs, flipping Banks over and onto his back.) Maura Downs: An impressive showing from both guys here Louis, and EWA is shaping up better than ever, with the roster filling with amazing talent like these two in the ring, giving one hundred percent all the time. Louis Carvanelie: That's right Maura, but again Angel is in control here, and Banks needs to be careful. His shoulder is like a big target now and look, as Angel keeps working it. He smells blood Maura, blood. (Angel drives his knee into Banks shoulder and then works it with stiff kicks before lifting him up using that arm. He twists it around again and kicks it right in the joint before dragging Banks across the ring by the arm before wrapping it around the middle rope and kicking it against it. He then drapes it across the top rope and climbs over onto the apron, throwing his weight down to the floor and hanging up Banks arm on the rope. Banks flips into the ring in agony and Angel throws up the ring apron, grabbing a steel chair from under the ring. He slides into the ring and the referee immediately gets in his face. Angel slides the chair into the corner and stalks Banks as the referee retrieves the chair. Banks gets to his feet and wham, a low blow sends him down as the fans oooh in unison. Angel smirks and covers as the referee turns around. 1...2.... Banks gets his hand on the ropes.) Maura Downs: Oh come on, there was no need for that. Chris Angel is using dirty tactics to have his way with Banks here. Louis Carvanelie: Chris Angel is a veteran, and all he is doing is what he does best. It's not cheating unless the referee sees it Maura. Maura Downs: Trust you to come out with something like that. That was blatant cheating and shouldn't be allowed. (Angel looks annoyed that Banks got his hand on the ropes, but doesn't let it effect him and instead goes to work on him again. He drags Banks to his feet, and Banks tries and fights him off with rights to the abs, and manages to stagger Angel. Banks shoulder is obviously in pain but he hits the ropes anyway and hits a double leg takedown, mounting Angel and then pounding him with right hands, knocking his head into the mat. Angel manages to kick him off and get to his feet, but he only walks into a high back body drop from Banks. Banks then goes to the top rope and looks down on his opponent. He looks for the Fall from Grace, but Angel moves out of the way!! Banks crashes to the mat and both men are down. The referee starts the ten count. 1.........2...........3...........4..........5..........6......... At 6 Angel gets up and shakes his head, ushering Banks to his feet, gearing up for a superkick. At 8 Banks gets to his feet and Angel looks for the superkick, but Banks ducks under it and sweeps Angel onto his feet, and tries to lock in the sharpshooter. Angel struggles and struggles and reaches the ropes, but Banks locks it in and moves into the middle of the ring. Angel is in trouble now as he crawls desperately towards the ropes. Eventually, he gets there, but the damage has been done, and Angel pulls himself up using the ropes, Banks ready for him. He kicks him in the gut and hooks him up, and sends him into the air, stalling suplex. Angel is hanging in the air but manages to struggle out and land on his feet, but he looks unsteady after the sharpshooter, falling to his knees, but he recovers with a chop block, taking Banks down, and then puts Banks in his own sharpshooter! Banks is the one now struggling but it's no use, as Angel puts on more pressure by sitting back.) Louis Carvanelie: Angel getting a measure of revenge with his own sharpshooter and what a match we are witnessing on the opening night of EWA. Maura Downs: Banks is so, so close to the ropes but he can't seem to gain those extra inches and- oh yes he has, Banks has got the ropes, and Angel has got to the count of four to release the hold. Louis Carvanelie: But that must have taken a lot out of Banks, just as Banks sharpshooter must have taken a lot out of Angel. (Angel falls to the mat, his legs also using a lot of energy pulling off the submission. Both men are down again and crawling to opposite ends of the ring. They both pull themselves up using the ropes. Angel and Banks stare eachother out from either side of the ring, breathing heavily, before stumbling into the centre of the ring. They go face to face now, nose to nose, talking trash to eachother and Angel in a show of disrespect places his hand over Banks face and pushes him away and Banks fires back with a right which Angel retaliates with his own, and the two exchange blows in the centre of the ring. Banks gets the upper hand and whips Angel into the ropes and then goes for a back body drop but Angel rolls through rolling through and hooking the legs, but Banks jumps over and counters with a pin of his own, but Angel hooks his legs around Banks arms and drops him down onto his shoulders but Banks reverses yet again, only to be reversed YET AGAIN by Angel who this time tries to gain extra leverage using the ropes, but fails to as the referee spots it and refuses to count.) Maura Downs: Quick pinning attempts there, and what a display of professional wrestling we are witnessing today. Angel tried to cheat his way to victory there, but the referee caught him. So what about that huh, Angel got caught in the act. You said it was only cheating if you got caught Louis, and well, Angel got caught. Louis Carvanelie: But the match is still continuing Maura, so shut up and watch it. (Angel looks increasingly frustrated as Banks gets to his feet, and Angel looks for a kick, but Banks catches his foot, hits a dragon screw and then tries and locks in the sharpshooter again. Angel struggles his way to the ropes and Banks fails to lock in the submission hold. Angel gets to his feet and walks straight into a high angle scoop slam followed by a stiff kick to the back and looks for a headlock but Angel counters with a firemans carry, and then looks for his own headlock but this time Banks counters with a snapmare, and then ushers Angel back to his feet and goes for a clothsline, which is stopped by a kick from Angel followed by a wrist lock suplex pinning attempt. Banks kicks out just before the three. Angel pulls him to his feet and hits a double underhook back breaker, and again goes for the cover, but again Banks kicks out before the three. But Angel looks like he's gaining control again as he lifts Banks to his feet but remains dominant with a short arm clothsline. He hooks the arms and drags Banks to his feet yet again, and hits an impressive tiger bomb pin. 1...............2..........THRRRR.......NO!! Just before the three Banks rolls his shoulder off the mat. Angel looks like he's had enough and is signalling for the end as he raises up Banks and scoops him up onto his shoulders and then into the tombstone piledriver position, looking for the reapers touch but as he puts his thumb down ready, amazingly Banks manages to get a low blow in with the referee distracted with Angel, and then turns it into a hurracanrana. Angel gets up dizzy and Banks kicks him in the gut, hits the ropes, and looks for his finisher Amazing Grace, but Angel ducks and Banks crashes to the mat. Now Angel has a look of fury on his face as he stalks his prey and he lifts Banks once more to his feet, but Banks shows amazing resiliency, punching Angel across the face, but Angel doesn't go down. He tries again, but again fails to knock him down. He hits the ropes and runs at Angel, who quickly hits a vertical exploder suplex on Banks, the force of which sends him straight out of the ring.) Louis Carvanelie: Holy crap, what impact on the vertical exploder, and Banks has got to be broken in half. Maura Downs: I have to agree with you, that was a very, very impressive counter by Chris Angel, and now what? Chris Angel is following Banks out of the ring, and he won't allow him to rest. No... What's this? Chris Angel wants to punish Carrington Banks even more, and he has Banks on his shoulders. He wants the seventh sense!! He's going to drive Banks body into that ring post, BUT NO!! Banks slips over his shoulder and OOOH, Banks pushes him straight into the ring post!! And hang on a second, Banks has drawn first blood... He's busted open Chris Angel!! (Angel is bleeding as both men are down on the outside and the referee has reached a count of five. Banks stirs and rolls into the ring on seven, but rolls back out as Angel gets to his feet. Banks rushes at Angel who drops down and hits a droptoe hold, sending Banks face straight into the steel steps, and now its Banks turn to bleed, as he's cut open. Angel runs his hand over his face and looks down to see a hand covered in blood, which seems to send him into a rage. He grabs Banks head and rams it straight into the steel steps, over and over and over and over again, until the referee gets in the way. Angel looks as if he's going to back off, but at the last second runs at Banks and kicks his head making it bounce horrifically against the steel, before he rolls the limp body into the ring. He slides in with it and mounts Banks, driving his closed fist into Banks face, Banks attempts at covering up useless as blood pours down the face. The referee again gets in Angels face and Angel pushes him off, blood rising he gets to his feet and shakes his head, yelling at the referee, and thinking better of it turns to Banks and lifts him to his knees, clenching his fist once more as the referee gets in Angels way again, and Angel pushes him away. LOW BLOW!! Banks hits a low blow in desperation and the two men crumple to the mat.) Maura Downs: Carrington Banks is now just trying to survive this match... And the outcome is still far from decided... Louis Carvanelie: That's because Banks just cheated... Angel took this match into a higher gear when he saw his blood and Banks simply couldn't keep up with the pace, so he cheated. Maura Downs: You have some way of twisting things, thinking it's ok for Angel to cheat but when Banks does it you are all over him. A little biased are we Louis? Louis Carvanelie: Shut up! If you'd of been paying attention you'd have realised that the referee nearly reached a ten count there but both men pulled themselves up, amazingly using eachother, to prevent the double count-out. Both men want a clear winner and a clear loser. (They both get to their feet and Banks pulls Angel into a headlock and Angel pushes him into the ropes then knocks him down with a shoulder block, and then looks for a lionsault, landing on his feet as Banks moves out of the way and gets to his feet, and Angel throws him with a japaneze arm drag, which Banks reverses by springing off the ropes and using an arm drag of his own. Angel gets to his feet and is taken down by a springboard dropkick, as Banks slides out of the ring and onto the apron, jumping up onto the top rope, and then looking for a dragonrana, but Angel catches him and throws him off, but Banks lands on his feet, and ducks under a clothsline attempt from Angel and then counters with a spinning heel kick. He drags Angel to his feet and hooks him up for a suplex, but Angel counters, turns him around and pulls him over, springing him off the ropes and then down with the suplex, but he hangs on and drags Banks to his feet and throws him up into the air for a stalling suplex, but somehow Banks gets out of it and wraps his legs around Angels head, but Angel sends him down with an electric chair drop and then covers. 1.......2.......NO! Banks got the shoulder up. Angel steps onto Banks back and then locks in a surfboard stretch, digging his foot into Banks back and then pushes him foward and sending him flying across the ring with a reverse monkey flip. Banks gets to his feet and swings for Angel who ducks under it and hits a low dropkick to the knees, sending Banks back down. He drops a leg across the back of Banks head and drags him to the side of the ring, hanging his head over the apron. He climbs out onto the apron and shouts abuse at Banks, before dropping a leg across the back of Banks head. He stays on the apron and drags Banks out with him, and Banks keeps upstanding by using the ropes. Angel goes for a punch but Banks blocks it, but doesn't seem to be able to retaliate with one of his own. Angel goes for another punch but again its blocked, and Banks doesn't seem to have the energy to retaliate. Angel goes again for another punch, but this time Banks blocks, and retaliates with a DDT onto the apron!! Banks and Angel both fall to the outside!) Maura Downs: What a DDT onto the apron that was and what a counter from Carrington Banks!! Just when Angel looked to be in the drivers seat, Banks steps up with an impressive counter. Louis Carvanelie: But all it has done is send both men to the outside, and neither of them seem to be moving! Maura Downs: Remember, this isn't a falls count anywhere match or a no disqualification match... These guys could get counted out right here. (Both men aren't moving and are breathing heavy and the referee begins the ten count, but amazingly, the fans start booing loudly, indicating their displeasure at the match ending in a double count out. The referee seems discomforted by the crowds reaction and the count seems slower, but as the ref reaches a count of 8 both men are to their feet and both roll in and out of the ring, breaking up the count. They both stare at eachother for around nine seconds, entering and leaving the ring to break the ten count again, and still staring at eachother, they both flip up the ring apron and search under the ring. Each man pulls out a weapon. Chris Angel wields a chair and Carrington Banks has found a 2x4... They stare eachother down again.) Maura Downs: This has turned into a very volitial situation, but Louis remember, this ISN'T a no disqualification match-up. If either one of these men use those weapons, they'll be disqualified. Louis Carvanelie: But what if both men use them at the same time? Maura Downs: I don't know Louis, the referee might just throw the match out! Louis Carvanelie: The crowd definently won't like that. The crowd don't exactly seem like a nice bunch of people Maura, the referee will be hung up by his testicals I reckon if he throws the match out. Maura Downs: Well, the referee is attempting to keep control of the situation and he's ordering them both to put the weapons down and get into the ring. He seems reluctant but I'm not surprised, would you want to get in the way of these two men? Banks is no having words with the referee who looks frightened to death... DAMN, WHAT A CHEAP SHOT!! Chris Angel just dropped his weapon, but smashed Banks in the back of the head with a double axe handle whilst he was distracted by the referee can't even disqualify him, he didn't use the weapon. And now look, Chris Angel is finding this funny!! Louis Carvanelie: That's because it IS funny Maura... (Laughs) (Chris Angel lifts Banks up to his feet, and whips him into the security railing, and Banks smashes it and lays across it not moving. Angel flps Banks into the crowd and steps over the barrier himself. He goes to pick Banks up but Banks fires some rights into his stomach, and gets to his feet, gaining some energy from somewhere to hit a few rights and lefts, sending him deeper into the crowd. The referee has given up on the count and on trying to gain control of the action, as he follows the two men into the crowd. Angel blocks a punch and manages to get the momentum on his side now as he rocks Banks with some punches of his own, sending him back to the barrier. He then charges at him but Banks ducks under it and back body drops him over the barrier and onto the floor on the other side. Banks climbs back over the barrier and kicks Angel in the head, and picks him up to his knees, before sending him straight head first into the steel steps. It makes a horrible crunching noise on impact, and even Angels arms which tried to soften the blow seemed to do nothing. Banks slides Angel into the ring, and follows him in. He pushes him into a corner and starts stomping down on him, and lifts him to his feet and uses a knife edge chop then whips him into the opposite corner, before running and splashing him into the corner. Angel falls out of the corner and Banks climbs up onto the top rope, and dives off, catching Angel and sending him down to the mat with a swinging DDT. Angels head crashes into the mat and Banks covers. 1.......2......NO! Angel got the shoulder up.) Maura Downs: I have to say, both men are in excellent condition here tonight, and Angel isn't done just yet. Louis Carvanelie: Of course he isn't done, he'll only be done once he's beaten Banks 1...2...3!! (Angel is on his feet and Banks hits him with a chop across the chest, sending Angel back into the ropes. He pushes Angel against the ropes and whips him into the opposite ropes and when Angel comes back Banks lifts him over his head, attempting to hang him up on the top rope, but Angel gets tremendous height, and with amazing agility and balance, lands on the top rope, and then hits a springboard crossbody onto Banks, hooking the leg. 1......2.....SHOULDER UP AGAIN!! Angel whips Banks into the ropes and hits a shoulder block and then locks in a single leg boston crab on him, and Banks crawls his way to the ropes. Angel pulls him back into the centre of the ring and puts more pressure on his opponent. It takes Banks longer to crawl a shorter space this time as he makes his way to the ropes. Finally, he reaches them, as Angel grabs the leg to drag him out again, but Banks kicks him back and Angel comes back but Banks hits a leg sweep on Angel who falls straight on the middle rope. Banks goes to the apron and runs and hits a knee on Angel, sending him straight back into the ring. He watches Angel get slowly to his feet and springs off the top rope, possibly looking for a swinging DDT again, but Angel catches him, and hits a capture suplex on him. Angel stalks Banks and lifts him to his feet whipping him into the ropes and hitting a sidewalk slam. He hits the ropes and then drops an elbow across the throat of Banks. Banks rolls out of the ring and out of any more of harms way. Angel follows him to the outside and runs straight at him, looking for a clothsline to the back but Banks sees him and ducks and then looks for a clothsline of his own, but Angel counters with a powerslam straight onto the floor!!) Maura Downs: There's NO protection out there Louis and Banks was just driven straight into the floor, after an already physically and mentally draining match-up. How much does Banks have left? How much does either of these men have left!? Louis Carvanelie: I don't know and I don't care Maura, this is one hell of a match-up. (Angel drags Banks to his feet and rolls him back into the ring, where the match continues. Angel punches Banks across the face and props him up against the ropes. He lifts him up and sits him on the top rope, making sure his legs are hooked on the middle ropes. He chops him backwards and Banks falls back, pressure falling on his lower back and legs, as he makes his way back up, using his abs, and is then chopped straight back down. Angel grabs Banks head, and Banks legs are still caught up in the ropes. Angel DDTs Banks straight into the mat, dangerously bending his head against the mat. Banks legs are still caught up and he's now hanging down, a pool of blood directly under his head. Angel kicks him in the stomach, forcing his body upwards and then violently down, as Angel follows up with a couple more kicks. Finally, Banks legs come free and he collapses to the mat. Angel puts him in a chicken wing lock, and lifts him to his feet, hitting a chicken wing suplex on him. Banks crawls to the corner and Angel doesn't stop his attack immediately going after him and sending him into the turnbuckle pads with right hands. He lifts him to his feet and Banks all of a sudden gets a burst of energy, coming back with rights, lefts and kicks to the gut, sending Angel reeling, but Angel stops the assault with a knee to the stomach, then an atomic drop, followed by a devastating superkick! Banks goes down and Angel covers. 1......2......3! NO!! It looked as if Angel had won but Banks just managed to roll his shoulder off the mat.) Maura Downs: That's as close as it is going to get I'm telling you right now. Angel nearly had Banks there. Louis Carvanelie: Nearly? NEARLY!? That was three, the referee should be raising Angels hand in victory right now!! Maura Downs: That wasn't three Louis, the referees decision is final. (Angel begins arguing with the referee that it was three, but the referee isn't having any of it, claiming it was only a two count. The frustration is showing on Angels face as he gets right in the refs face. He turns, and Banks is up, and kicks him in the gut, hits the ropes, looks for the Amazing Grace, but Angel ducks and Banks crashes again in the match, getting straight to his feet, and stumbles straight into Angel who scoops him up. REAPERS TOUCH!! Angel hits his finisher, and covers. 1........2........3!! It's all over, Chris Angel wins!!) Louis Carvanelie: I told you Chris Angel would do it!! Maura Downs: A hard fought match up, but Angel finishes up with the Reapers Touch, and once that was hit, there was NO kicking out. Louis Carvanelie: Chris Angel begins the new EWA with a victory, and Banks, though impressive, couldn't match up on this night. ![]() (The screen flickers back on, still focused on the door reading "AoC". A sound of clipping shoes can be heard, and the camera pans around to show Bob Taylor walking towards the door, and the crowd boo as loud as they can.) Maura Downs: The hell is he doing down there? (He grins as he reaches the door, and knocks sharply. Within moments, the door swings open, and Acheston steps into the door frame, blocking any view into the darkened room.) Cyril Acheston: Yeah? Bob Taylor: I saw you had arrived, and I thought I'd drop in to see how my main eventer is doing. Cyril Acheston: Since when did you bother to make house calls, Taylor? Bob Taylor: Stop being so suspicious. (Taylor looks over Acheston's shoulder into the locker room.) Bob Taylor: Ah. this a bad time? Cyril Acheston: With you, it always is. Bob Taylor: Alright, just let me cut to the chase here- Cyril Acheston, interrupting: Please do, we have shit to do before the end of the night. Bob Taylor: "We"? Cyril Acheston: What is it that you want. Bob Taylor: I have a proposition. (Cyril contemplates for a moment, and then steps aside, letting Taylor enter the room, and the crowd boo.) Maura Downs: Looks like Bob Taylor is about to make a deal with the devil. ![]() Louis Carvanelie: And I wouldn't want it any other way Maura but now we are coming closer and closer to the main event, but first before that we have the Pre-Main event. Maura Downs: Jason Kash is a former RWA Television Champion, and he has a lot of talent that we know about going into this match. But Russell Wayne on the other hand we dont know much about, all we know is that he is a cocky bodybuilder from Indianapolis. Louis Carvanelie: I hope Kash hands Wayne his ass, I dont like the look of this guy. Maura Downs: You havent even seen him yet. (South Texas Deathride comes on the PA system and as the hard part hits the PA system, the fog fills the entrance area and Russell comes out. Russell plays to the crowd flexing his muscles and he hops in the ring and gets on a ring post and flexes his muscles. Russell Wayne steps down and stands in the ring looking at the entrance ramp waiting on Jason Kash.) Maura Downs: Russell looks confident, can you hear the fans cheering him already. Looks like the EWA fans have quickly taken to Russell Wayne. Louis Carvanelie: Yeah, sure good. Lets just see if he makes it past Kash. (A slow beat from the song "I'ma Soldier" begins to bounce the crowd in the arena as the full song begins to blast Jason Kash walks out from the entrance. Kash raises his arms and spins around as the crowd gives their jeers and boos. Jason Kash slowly walks to the ring, mouthing things to certain fans as he makes it to the ring. Kash walks up the metal side stairs and he climbs in through the ropes and slaps his chest and throws his right hand up and puts up the Buck root hand sign. Kash stands looking focused at Russell Wayne.) Louis Carvanelie: That pound sign on his trunks, that tell me he is going to win. Maura Downs: Why do you say that? Louis Carvanelie: Intuition tells me he will win. (The bell rings as Kash and Wayne walk to the center of the ring and a tie up occurs, Kash over powers Wayne and pushes him backwards and Russell falls to the mat, the fans boo this as Russell gets up and looks at Kash. They both circle each other once more, and then another tie up occurs, Kash takes Russell into a side headlock, Wayne tries to break free. He then goes to lift Kash for a back suplex but Kash blocks it. Jason keeps the side headlock locked in tight, Russell pushes Kash off the ropes and on the return Kashs momentum knocks Wayne down to the mat. Kash runs off the ropes again and as Wayne gets up he is knocked back down with another shoulder barge by Jason Kash. Wayne goes to get up again and Kash runs off the ropes, he goes for another shoulder barge but this time Russell Wayne is quicker and he drops down and brings Jason Kash down with a drop toe hold. Russell moves quickly onto Jasons back and slaps him in the back of the head and then stands back and lets Jason get up, the fans erupt with cheers as Russell Wayne laps up the cheers.) Maura Downs: Russell could have taken control, but the cocky bodybuilder decides to let the fans appreciate him. Louis Carvanelie: He does that once to often and Jason Kash will punish him. (Wayne and Kash are both on their feet, Kash is holding the back of his head and complaining to the ref, they begin circling each other once again. Wayne and Kash go for a lock up once again but this time Kash rams a knee to the mid-section of Russell Wayne, another by Kash drops Russell to his knees. Kash measures a huge right hand but Kash held the hair of Wayne and keeps him steady. Another huge right hand and again Kash holds Wayne up. Jason Kash brings Russell up to his feet and whips him off the ropes as Wayne comes back, Kash hits a dropkick to the chin of Russell Wayne dropping him to the mat. Kash gets up, and he poses to the disapproval of the fans. Kash then walks over and puts his foot on the throat of Russell and the ref gives a standard five count at the count of five Kash takes his foot off Waynes throat. Kash drops to his knees and brings Russell so he is sitting and puts his knee into the back of Wayne and pulls his neck head back. The ref gives another five count and Kash then breaks the hold.) Louis Carvanelie: It looks like Kash is no in control of this match. Maura Downs: He is walking a thin line just now. (Jason gets up, and as he is getting up he grabs the head of Wayne and pulls him up. Jason with an elbow to the face of Russell and then he puts Waynes head between his legs and hoists him up into a cradle piledriver position, Kash shouts some abuse to the fans and then drops Russell with the Cradle Pilerdrive. Kash dusts his hands off and then gets up, he walks over towards the ropes and looks down at Russell Wayne who is holding his neck. Kash smiles and he walks over and drops a knee across the throat of Russell Wayne. Russell holds it and begins slamming his feet off the mat. Kash then hooks the leg and covers, ONE . . . TWO . . Kick out by Russell Wayne. Kash just smiles and gets up, he grabs the hair of Russell Wayne and pulls him up. Kash lifts him up and hits a reverse atomic drop, and then Kash takes a quick step back and hits a falling clothesline. Jason gets up and puts his foot on the chest of Wayne and the ref drops for the cover, ONE . . . TWO . Kick out by Russell Wayne.) Louis Carvanelie: Damn two close calls. Maura Downs: That wasnt close, and neither was the other. Louis Carvanelie: Jason Kash has been dominating the match so far. (Kash begins shouting at the ref he doesnt agree with the count, Russell begins getting up behind Jason, the fans are cheering. Russell is on his feet and Kash turns as Russell goes for a clothesline and he takes down Jason Kash. Kash is quickly up and Russell with another clothesline. Kash gets back up he cant believe it, Russell Wayne with a right hand, and another he rocks back Kash who is now against the ropes. Russell whips him off the ropes and goes for another huge clothesline but Kash ducks and puts on the breaks. As Russell turns around Jason Kash grabs the head of Russell and hits a stun gun and Wayne is down. Kash is sitting on the mat getting his breath back right now.) Maura Downs: Russell nearly caught Kash out there. Louis Carvanelie: That was a great move by Kash, the way he put on the breaks and then hit the stun gun from no where. (Jason gets up and he looks at Russell who is holding his throat once again. Kash gets some momentum from the ropes and drops a knee to the throat of Russell once again. The ref gives him a warning, then Jason Kash pulls Russell to his feet and hits a knee to his mid-section that doubles Wayne over. Kash grabs Wayne and hoists him up with a suplex, he holds it for a few minutes and then brings him down with a brain buster. Jason sits up again smiling once again and he applauds himself as the crowd begin to boo him, Kash gets up and flips off the fans and then turns around and drops an elbow down over Wayne and covers him, ONE . . . TWO .Kick out by Russell Wayne.) Maura Downs: Great resilience by Russell Wayne, he is not giving up without a fight here. Louis Carvanelie: He should give up, he has no chance in this match up. (Jason Kash gets up, he looks angry and then he smiles, he signals for the Kashed Out and then he grabs Russell Wayne and pulls him up. But Wayne comes at him with a punch to the mid-section, followed by another. Kash is holding his stomach as Wayne hits a European upper cut that takes Kash by surprise. Russell with a quick kick to the mid-section followed by a strong DDT by Russell Wayne. The fans erupt, they begin a Come on Wayne chant and begin stamping their feet. Kash is moving first but Russell Wayne isnt far behind. Both are getting up, Kash is on one knee and so is Russell. Kash looks at him and then quickly moves and bounces off the ropes as he reaches Russell Wayne, he stands up fully and hits a super power slam on Jason Kash sending him back to the mat. Both men are down.) Louis Carvanelie: Damn it Maura, damn it. Kash nearly had it there, he nearly hit the Kashed Out. Maura Downs: This match is either mans right now Louis, I dont know who could win but listen to these fans they are right behind Wayne. (Russell gets up first, he holds onto the ropes and holds his throat with the other hand. Kash is up and Russell quickly moves over, both men begin trading blows, lefts and rights are getting traded. Wayne with a kick to the mid-section but Kash catches it, but Russell Wayne quickly hits an Insuguri to the back of Jason Kashs head sending him down. Russell gets up and looks down at the fallen Kash, Wayne drops a elbow to the back of Kash, and then he places his knees onto Jason Kashs back and looks in a surfboard submission. The fans are cheering as the referee asks Kash is he submits, Kash says no. He shakes his head, Russell Wayne applies more pressure but still Kash wont give up. Russell breaks the hold and then gets up, he grabs the hair of Jason Kash and pulls him up, Russell grabs Jason and hits a back breaker. The fans love it and cheer, as Russell gets up he poses again for the fans.) Louis Carvanelie: He should stop posing for the fans, it will cost him this match. And I for one hope it does. Maura Downs: Sure Louis, you werent saying that when Kash was doing it. Louis Carvanelie: Thats different, Kash has talent. (Wayne turns his attention back to Kash, as he is getting up Russell drops a knee to the back of Jason Kash. Followed by another, Russell then pulls him up and whips him into the corner and follows it up with a clothesline. Jason Kash falls to the mat and his head is resting on the bottom turnbuckle. Russell walks over and begins stomping away at Jason Kash, the fans are loving it and then the ref gets involved and stops Russell from doing any more damage to Jason Kash. Russell pushes the ref aside and leans down to grab Kash but Kash pokes him in the eyes and Russell takes a step back. Kash quickly gets up and as Wayne steps back and turns his back on Kash he grabs his neck and hits the Kashed Out.) Louis Carvanelie: KASHED OUT, KASHED OUT. Its over Maura say goodnight to Russell Wayne. (Jason Kash smiles and hooks the leg, ONE . . . TWO . . . TH KICK OUT by Russell Wayne. Jason Kash cant believe it, he looks at the ref and tells him three but he says no two. Kash hooks the leg again ONE . . . TWO . Kick out by Russell Wayne again. Kash says three to the ref again but he says no two. Jason gets up and walks over towards the ropes and goes to the outside. He is looking for a chair to hit Russell Wayne with.) Louis Carvanelie: Here use mine Jason, use mine. Maura Downs: Sit down Louis. (Kash has a chair and he walks up the steps as Russell Wayne is beginning to move, the ref is telling him no and the fans are booing as Kash steps into the ring. Wayne is in the corner and he is looking as Kash pushes the ref aside and hoists the chair up, but the ref grabs it and Kash joists it forward sending the ref down, he turns around and moves forward but Russell Wayne is there and hits a dropkick onto the chair which re-bounds off the face of Jason Kash. The ref slides the chair out the ring, as Wayne hooks the leg, ONE . . . TWO . . . Kick out by Jason Kash. Kashs head is busted open from the chair shot, the ref let both incidents go as Wayne gets up, he grabs the blood soaked hair of Jason Kash and hoists him up into a suplex, and brings him down with The Last Resort, Wayne quickly covers, ONE . . . TWO . . . THR NO KICKOUT by Jason Kash.) Louis Carvanelie; I knew he would kick out, that damn ref should have disqualified Russell for using a chair. Maura Downs: Louis you talk the biggest amount of crap I have ever heard. Louis Carvanelie: Where is Wayne going now? (Russell is up, he goes over to the turnbuckle and begins climbing till he reaches the top. Kash is still down the fans are cheering and are standing up as Russell Wayne is on the top rope, he leaps off and goes for a diving head butt, but Jason Kash moves and Russell Wayne is now down on the mat next to Jason Kash. Kash begins moving first you can hear the fans cheering on Russell Wayne as he begins to move. Both men are now on their feet, Kash charges at Wayne with a clothesline but he ducks it and as Kash turns round Wayne hits a right hand rocking Kash back, followed by another a whip off the rope and as Kash comes back Russell lays on the mat trying to trip him but Kash leaps over and off the ropes, Wayne gets up and Kash comes back and Russell hits a tilt the world side slam and Jason Kash is down.) Maura Downs: This match has been a great contest, I dont know who will win. Louis Carvanelie: Kash will win Maura, I keep telling you. Maura Downs: Hold on Louis whos this? Louis Carvanelie: I know who that is Maura, thats former EWA Universal Champion Gary Mac. (Mac walks out from the back and looks down as Russell Wayne stands above Jason Kash. Mac smiles and begins to walk towards the ring, Wayne is pointing at him as Gary walks towards the ring steps, Kash is up and rolls Russell Wayne up, ONE . . . TWO . . Kick out but Wayne. The fans cheer and Mac is now on the apron both Kash and Wayne stop in the middle of the ring as Mac steps into the ring, the ref walks over to Mac who whispers in his ear and then the referee leaves the ring. The fans are confused.) Louis Carvanelie: This is a weird situation here Maura, I dont know what is going on. Maura Downs: Me neither, I heard about contractual differences with Kash and Wayne. Dont know why Mac is here. (Kash and Wayne charge at Mac and go for a double clothesline but he ducks it and as they turn around Mac crescent kicks Jason Kash in the chin sending him to the mat, he quickly kicks Wayne in the mid-section and hoists him up and hits the Total Destruction. The fans cheer as Mac goes into his pocket and pulls out two pieces of paper and places them on each member and then he walks to the ropes and drops down and rolls out the ring.) Maura Downs: Gary Mac just served Wayne and Kash with some papers, I wonder what they are? Louis Carvanelie: Looks like he just delivered them their notices, and this match is over. (Mac begins walking up the ramp and he shakes a few EWA fans hands as he does, then security some out from the back to escort Kash and Wayne out of the building. Mac goes into the back and Russell Wayne and Jason Kash are escorted from the ring.) Maura Downs: Call this match a draw Louis? Louis Carvanelie: I suppose Maura, but is Mac back in EWA for good or just here on business. Lets head backstage ![]() (The screen flips back on, and a technician is seen at the door with "AoC" on it. He looks behind him, a nervous look on his face. He knocks, sharply and hurriedly.) Voice from inside the room: Yeah? Technician: Mr. Acheston, your match is about to start! (A few noises can be heard in the room. A moment later, the door opens, and Cyril steps back out into the hall. The technician nods and leaves, but the camera stays on Acheston. From inside the room, a second voice calls.) Voice from inside the room: Cyril. (A man steps out.) Louis Carvanelie: No way! (Jeff King steps out into the hallway, and the crowd cheers seeing the two superstars together.) Jeff King: And what do you want to do with Taylor? Cyril Acheston: Dump him somewhere. (Acheston walks off screen, just as "Judtih" (NiN Remix) by A Perfect Circle hits on the PA in the main arena. King shrugs, steps back into the room, grabs something and begins pulling it out. He drags the limp figure of Bob Taylor out of the room, and deposits him against the opposite wall. King walks out of the shot, and the camera closes up on Taylor's face, a black eye becoming more and more pronounced. As the camera fades, he mutters over and over, "Acheston will pay. Acheston will pay.") ![]() Louis Carvanelie: Damn that Cyril, look what he and King did to out great owner, and we are getting word from Ian Wynn that this is a normal one on one match and that Taylors comments to Legend earlier wont stand, damn them all. Maura Downs: Two former SFT competitors competing in the EWA main event, this is Legends debut and Cyrils return, it couldn't be any bigger. Louis Carvanelie: Throw in the chance to get reach the semi-finals of the tournament and you have a classic. ("Kool Thing" by Sonic Youth plays, as gold fireworks burst all over the ramp leading to the ring... Johnny Legend's name appears on the action tron, while Johnny Legend walks out from the back and to the ring, while fireworks are still going. Legend slides into the ring and spins around with his arms in the air. The fireworks stop and Legend stands in his corner, leaning against the turnbuckles.) Brian Bauchmann: Introducing first, he hails from Fire Island, New York, JOHNNY LEGEND!!! (The fans give Legend a good pop, they want to see him beat Cyril.) Louis Carvanelie: Johnny Legend needs to be on his game, I remember Cyril from back in the EWA good old days and he was the one to end Excidiums world of pain title run, that was impressive. Maura Downs: It sure was, but tonight isnt then. This is a new era, one of these men could lead us in that era. (Silence befalls the arena as the lights dim. "Judith (NiN Remix)" hits, and noise erupts in the arena. Pyro goes off near the entrance as Acheston appears on the ramp, walking down with a cigarette perched on his lip. He scowls as he walks, ignoring cat calls from the crowd. He slides into the ring, and turns with his head bowed, facing the turnbuckle.) Brian Bauchmann: And his opponent, he hails from Los Angeles, CYRIL ACHESTON!!! Maura Downs: He is looking right at the ring post, his head is focused entirely on this match. Louis Carvanelie: You are looking at the future of the EWA Maura, Cyril is the next superstar and future hall of famer, thats my pick. (The bell rings and Cyril turns around as Legend is charging at him, Cyril moves and Legend connects with the corner. Cyril begin unleashing rights and lefts on Johnny, but Johnny comes back with some of his own, a barrage of fists are being thrown. Legend hits a huge right that knocks Cyril back, Johnny goes for another huge right but Cyril ducks it this time and as Legend turns around Acheston rakes his eyes and Johnny stops and holds his face. Cyril grabs Legend and scoops him up and slams him down. Legend slowly gets up as Acheston waits and then scoops him up again and slams him back down. Legend gets up a little slower and Cyril scoops him up again but Legend slides off the back and as he is coming down he brings Cyril down with a reverse DDT.) Maura Downs: This match has started of at a fast pace, both men wanting to gain the upper hand. Louis Carvanelie: Cyril will gain it Maura, he will gain the upper hand and teach Johnny a lesson. (Cyril gets up and Legend is there, they quickly go into a tie up, Cyril backs Legend up into the corner the ref gives a five count and Cyril breaks the hold but as he does he chops Johnny on the chest, then again. Legend quickly grabs the head of Cyril and spins him into the corner. Johnny with a huge chop of his own on Cyril, followed by another. Johnny with a whip into the corner but Cyril reverses it, Acheston runs and goes for a splash in the corner but Johnny gets a foot up and Cyril steps back. Johnny leaps backwards and is on the second turnbuckle and he leaps off and goes for a axe handle but Cyril punches him in the mid-section and Johnny falls to his knees. Cyril grabs his head and goes for a DDT but Johnny slides free and slides out the ring and looks back in towards Acheston.) Louis Carvanelie: Where is he going, had enough already? Maura Downs: I think he is just trying to evade Cyril right now. (Legend begins walking round the ring, the ref is counting. Acheston is taunting him asking him to come into the ring, Legend goes to slide in but Cyril is over quickly ready to put the boot in so Johnny slides back out quickly. The ref reaches five as Johnny begins climbing up the steps, Acheston stands at the other side of the ring letting Legend in. Legend ducks under and goes to enter and Cyril is over quickly with a fore arm to the back of Legend, followed by another. Cyril hooks Johnny and hits a gut wrench suplex on him. Cyril gets up half way and looks at Legend, he then begins taking some wrist tape off his wrist and then begins choking away at Legend. The fans are booing as the ref gives a five count and then Cyril breaks the hold. Cyril gets up and grabs the foot of Johnny and drags him over towards the ropes and then Acheston goes to the outside and he reaches back in and turns Legend round and puts his neck hanging over the apron, Cyril takes a few steps back and charges forward and drives the elbow into the throat of Legend. He goes to move away but Cyril grabs him and stops him moving, Acheston then steps up onto the apron and then takes a few steps back and hits a leg drop onto Legends throat once again and this time Acheston lets Johnny get away.) Louis Carvanelie: Some great work by Cyril there, did you see the way Legends neck snapped back against the apron? Maura Downs: Ill admit that Acheston is tough, but if Legend tries to out class him he can win it. Louis Carvanelie: Out class Acheston, I doubt that would happen. (Cyril gets back into the ring at the count of seven and he looks as Legend is trying to gain his breath. Johnny is on all fours as Acheston runs and measures a kick right to the ribs of Johnny sending him rolling on the mat. Cyril grabs the hair of Legend and pulls him up, Acheston grabs his head and locks in a front face lock, but he slips his arm down so he is choking Johnny without the ref seeing. The ref doesnt give a five count as Cyril locks the hold on tighter cutting off the air to Johnny Legend. Cyril applies some more pressure the fans are stamping their feet trying to get Legend motivated and he begins to fight back with a punch to the mid-section of Acheston, then another, then another and Cyril breaks the hold, Johnny runs off the ropes and upon his return goes for a flying cross body but Cyril ducks and Johnny hits the mat hard. Cyril turns and quickly falls to his knees and locks in another choke hold.) Maura Downs: That isnt legal Louis, he is choking him once again. The ref should do something about this. Louis Carvanelie: Why? He isnt doing anything wrong it is a good solid headlock. Maura Downs: I doubt that Louis. (The ref quickly notices the choke hold and gives a five count, Cyril breaks the hold and gets up and begins arguing with the ref. Legend moves quickly and grabs Cyril in a school boy and the ref drops, ONE . . . TWO . . Kickout by Cyril. Acheston gets up quickly as Johnny follows. Cyril runs towards Legend who hits a release arm drag, Legend is quickly to his feet and Cyril is back up and runs at Legend again but gets taken down with a standing drop kick to the face. The fans are going mad as Legend gets up and he watches as Cyril is half way up, he runs and hits a drop kick to the face of Cyril who falls backwards against the mat. Legend is up quickly and he is off the ropes and he hits a snap leg drop, he is up again and drops an elbow down on Cyril, quickly up again by Legend and he drops another elbow. Legend grabs the hair of Cyril and pulls him up, Legend gets him in a reverse waist lock and hits a belly to belly suplex and the fans roar.) Louis Carvanelie: Legend had the tights there when he hit that suplex. Maura Downs: How can you hook the tights with a belly to belly? Louis Carvanelie: I saw it, Cyril should be the winner. (Legend is on his knees and he grabs the head of Cyril and measures a huge right hand, then another. Legend is now taking it to Cyril, Johnny begins getting up and he brings Cyril with him. Legend goes behind Cyril and locks in a waist lock and then hits a German Suplex on Cyril with a bridge, ONE . . . TWO Kick out by Acheston. Legend is up quickly as Cyril begins to climb to his feet, Acheston is half way up as Legend runs and takes Cyril down with a bull dog. Legend is keeping on top of Cyril who is near the corner. Johnny climbs to the second rope and comes down with an elbow to the back of Cyrils head, he turns him over and hooks the leg, ONE . . . TWO . . Kick out by Cyril Acheston. Legend slams his hands on the mat looking a little annoyed as he grabs the hair of Cyril and pulls him to his feet. Legend then gets Cyril in a front face lock and hits a snap suplex, Legend twists his body and pulls himself and Cyril back up and hits another snap suplex. Again Johnny Legend twists his body and pulls Cyril up with him and goes for another suplex but this time brings him down in a brain buster. Legend floats over and hooks the leg again, ONE . . . TWO . . . TH Kick out by Cyril.) Maura Downs: Johnny Legend is showing us how much he wants the Universal title. Louis Carvanelie: I would have thought it was Cyril showing us, I mean he keeps kicking out. (Legend is up and he poses for the fans who cheer, he waits like a vulture on Cyril getting up, standing behind him so he wont see him. Cyril is up, and Legend runs to go for a bull dog but Cyril holds onto Legend and takes a few more steps forward and throws him over the top rope. Cyril falls to the mat as Legend crashes down against the mat outside. He begins screaming in pain and holding the bottom of his back, the ref leaps outside to check on him, the fans are watching onwards.) Louis Carvanelie: Now that is a great move, Cyril Acheston just injured Johnny Legend. Maura Downs: You dont know that for sure Louis so shut up. (Cyril gets up, and holds onto the top rope as the ref is still checking on Legend. The referee just nods to Cyril to let him know that Legend is going to continue so Acheston quickly goes outside and grabs Johnny Legend, he picks him up and gets Legend in a bear hug and then rams his back against the apron. Cyril takes a few steps back and then runs towards the ring post and smashes Legends back against it. The referee enters the ring to begin his count, ONE. Cyril looks down at the fallen Johnny Legend and then grabs him by the hair, TWO, Cyril smiles and begins shouting something into Legends face, THREE, Acheston holds the hand of Legend as he Irish whips him into the steel steps, Legends legs bang of the steps and he flips over landing on his back once again. The fans are booing, FOUR, the action as Cyril just smiles and walks round to Legend. Johnny is still holding his back, FIVE, as Cyril helps him up and then whips him into the barrier. Acheston smiles as he slides into the ring and slides back out breaking the count.) Louis Carvanelie: A smart move there by Cyril, breaking the count and letting him punish Johnny on the outside some more. Maura Downs: You really like Cyril dont you Louis? Louis Carvanelie: Even more so now. (Cyril walks over as Legend is on his knees and holding his back, ONE, Cyril pulls him up half way and clubs his back and Legend screams in pain. TWO, Acheston picks Legend up in a bear hug move again and runs towards the ring post, THREE, but Legend slides off and Cyril smashes into the ring post. FOUR, Legend is still holding his back as he slides into the ring, Cyril stumbles back, FIVE, Legend off the ropes and he hits Cyril with a baseball slide, NO. Cyril moves just in time, the count is broken. Cyril and Legend exchanging blows on the outside now, Cyril takes the upper hand and slides Johnny back into the ring. Cyril follows him in but Legend is half way up and he drops with an axe handle to the back of Cyrils head stopping him from getting up. Legend gets to his feet and he is still holding his back, he stomps on Cyril stopping him from getting up, Legend waits and lets Cyril up, Legend runs and hits a flying clothesline knocking Cyril down.) Louis Carvanelie: There wont be many moves Legend can do with his back hurt. Maura Downs: Your right Louis, but if he keeps up the offensive he will come through. (Cyril gets up and Legend is over and punching him in the head, he then whips him into the corner and Legend runs over and leaps onto the second rope but holds his back allowing Cyril some time and he grabs Legend in a power bomb type move But Legend goes for a hurricaine runna, But Cyril puts the breaks on and steps forward with Legends legs and locks in a elevated boston crab, seriously stretching Legends back. Legend is screaming in pain as everyone looks on. He is in the center of the ring, no where near any ropes.) Louis Carvanelie: He has got to Maura, Legend has got to give up. Maura Downs: I dont know Louis, this is the first round, and it would be a shame for him to be knocked out first, he looks like he isnt giving up. (You can hear his scream and Cyril shouts give up Johnny as the ref is down checking on Legend who cant move. He asks him and Johnny shakes his head, he isnt going to give up. Cyril shouts again for him to give up but he isnt. Cyril pulls back even more and applies a lot more pressure and Legend is in serious pain now. Acheston cant believe Johnny isnt giving up. The ref asks him again but he says no he wont give up, the fans begin chanting Johnny Legend and the fans are stamping their feet and this is annoying Cyril, the ref asks again but still he wont give up. The fans are on their feet cheering him on and Legend begins to move towards the ropes, the fans are blowing the roof off the building, they want Johnny to come through and beat Cyril.) Maura Downs: He is moving Louis, Johnny Legend is moving towards the ropes. Louis Carvanelie: Tell these fans to be quiet, Cyril needs to focus. (Legend is half way towards the ropes, he is still screaming in pain as Cyril cant believe he is moving, the ref asks once again but Johnny shakes his head. He wont give up and the fans are ecstatic right now as Johnny is getting closer towards the ropes, he reaches out but cant reach it. Cyril just cant believe it. The fans are still chanting as Legend reaches once more and now he has the bottom rope and Cyril needs to break the hold the ref warns him and begins his count to five and Cyril breaks the hold. But immediately turns round and drops his elbow right into the spin of Johnny Legend and then he gets up and drops another.) Maura Downs: Cyril is punishing Johnny Legend right now Louis, I have to say this match looks bleak for Legend unless he changes his approach somehow. Louis Carvanelie: It looked bleak from the outset Maura just now you are believing. (Legend is on the mat, holding his back as Cyril smiles and grabs him by the hair and pulls him up. Cyril lifts him up and brings him down across his knee with a back breaker and Legend falls to the mat as Acheston releases him. The fans are watching as Cyril comes off the ropes and hits a elbow drop against the spine of Legend once again. Cyril gets up and then stomps on him, and then grabs his hair and pulls him up once again. Cyril with a right hand and then he whips him across the ring into the corner, Legend staggers out a little and quickly Acheston signals and runs, he hits the Impaler on Legend in the corner, the fans gasp.) Louis Carvanelie: The spear into the corner otherwise known as the Impalre. Lets just start taking the head set off. Maura Downs: Cyril covers Legend, and Louis keep your headset on. (ONE . . . TWO . . . THRE NO KICKOUT by Johnny Legend, he just manages to get a shoulder up and Cyril is irate. He cant believe it and he gets up and he begins shouting at the referee, he then points to the outside and the ref turns, Cyril turns his back on the ref and then barges back knocking the ref down and he bangs his head on the mat and is out cold. Acheston smiles as he looks at the ref and then he grabs Johnny Legend and pulls him up. Acheston has his head in one of his hands and he runs and throws Legend over the top rope, he lands on the outside with a bump and then Cyril quickly gets out of the ring and he grabs Legend and throws him on top of the ring announcers table.) Louis Carvanelie: Now move Maura let Cyril destroy Johnny Legend, MOVE!!! Maura Downs: This isnt right, I think someone should come down here and put a stop to this. (Cyril climbs up onto the table and he looks down at Johnny Legend who is beginning to climb to his feet, Cyril smashes his fist into the forehead of Legend and then stands him up and gets him in position for a Sombo Suplex. He smiles and then lifts Legend up, BUT LEGEND REVERSES IT AND BRINGS CYRIL DOWN ONTO THE TABLE WITH A DDT AND HE GOES THROUGH IT. Now Legend, Acheston and the ref are all down.) Maura Downs: Cyril just went through the table Louis, he went through with a thump and Legend is back in this. Louis Carvanelie: NO, that isnt right Cyril should win now. Legend cheated. Maura Downs: The ref is still down and out of it Louis, this is any ones game. (Legend begins moving a little as he crawls towards the barrier the fans are edging him on as Cyril slowly begins to move. Cyril begins moving some of the table off of him as he begins crawling towards the ring. Legend is half way up now, he looks at Cyril who is pulling him self up with help from the apron. Legend staggers towards the ring announcers small table and he grabs the ring bell, Acheston is up now and he slides into the ring. Legend begins moving forward and he slides into the ring, he is behind Cyril who is checking on the ref, he turns around and Legend smashes the ring bell against the head of Acheston sending him down to the mat. Legend falls to one knee, and then he looks at the ref and notices he is still out. Johnny drops the bell and rolls out of the ring, he staggers over to the table and he grabs the ring announcers bottle of water and walks back over towards the ring. Legend lays it down and then goes over and grabs Cyril, he pulls him up and places him between his legs. Legends lifts him up into a piledriver position.) Louis Carvanelie: No Maura tell him, not onto the ring bell. Maura Downs: Cyril is busted open already, this could end the match, maybe even Cyrils career. (Johnny edges towards the bell, and then he drops Cyril head first onto the ring bell. Achestons body just goes limp and Legend smiles as he slides the bell out of the ring. The ref is still out as Johnny goes over and grabs the water, he turns the referee over and pours it into his face and he wakes up. Legend helps him up and then goes over to Cyril, he hooks the leg as the ref goes down still a little shaken from the assault, ONE . . . . . . TWO . . . . . . THRE NO SHOULDER UP BY CYRIL. The fans gasp as Legends eyes are open wide he cant believe it, and he starts beating away at the mat. Legend gets up, he walks over to the corner and begins pounding the turnbuckle. The blood is pouring out the head of Cyril the fans cant believe it as Cyril begins moving, Legend stamps his feet and then rushes over, he helps up Cyril and then kicks him in the mid-section and hits the Legendary and then he covers the ref is down quick, ONE . . . TWO . . . THRE NO, Cyril manages to get a shoulder up and Legend is angry now.) Louis Carvanelie: CYRIL IS STILL IN IT MAURA, HE IS STILL IN IT. Maura Downs: I cant believe he kicked out of that piledriver onto the bell, but also the Legendary. What does Johnny Legend have to do to win. (Johnny gets up and stamps his feet, the ref is telling him it was two and not three. Cyril begins to stir as Legend moves over to him, Acheston is quick with a low blow and this gives him a few seconds to get his breath back. Cyril climbs to his feet and throws a right at Legend, who comes back with one of his own. Cyril and Legend are trading blows, Cyril is rocked and Johnny whips him off the ropes as he comes back Legend goes for a drop kick but Cyril catches the legs of Legend and turns him over into boston crab and Legend screams in pain, the fans are watching on they are loving this match, but Cyril quickly breaks the hold, he kicks Legend in the ribs sending him rolling. Acheston waits a few seconds and Johnny is up, Cyril runs and hit The Impaler.) Louis Carvanelie: Thats it, this match is over Maura your looking at the man in the next round. Maura Downs: He has to get the three count Louis, but where is one eye going? (Cyril drags Legend into the center of the ring and then goes to the turnbuckle and begins climbing it.) Louis Carvanelie: Cyril is going for The Last Serenade, the backflip into a frog splash. Maura Downs: But Legend is lying face down, meaning Cyril will crash into his back. (Cyril gets to the top then turns his back on Legend and leaps, and lands with the Last Serenade onto the back of Johnny Legend. Cyril turns him over the fans are watching on they cant believe it, ONE . . . TWO . . . THREE!!!!) Louis Carvanelie: Its over Cyril Acheston has beaten Johnny Legend. Maura Downs: He doesnt look like a winner Louis, he looks more like a loser. Louis Carvanelie: Your just jealous, listen to these fans boo Cyril as he stands in the middle of the ring. (Johnny Legend rolls from the ring and begins walking to the back, holding his back which is in pain. Cyril is standing holding onto the rope as he holds his head up high, he turns and blows a kiss towards Maura and smiles sarcastically.) Maura Downs: That freak better stay away from me. Louis Carvanelie: What a night, the return of EWA, the return of Bob Taylor, a winning return for Cyril Acheston. It cant be any better Maura, it just cant because this is the greatest night in EWA history and now its time to say good night. Maura Downs: Good night EWA, and lets hope Cyril gets beat in the next round. So long.
