![]() The scene opens just before show time in the locker room of the former Universal Champion Malinko, as he packs his things into a large gunny sack. He wore a pair of faded blue jeans with holes in the knees along with a dingy white shirt and a beaten up leather jacket...he reeked of liquor. His lady love, Julia, sat with red rimmed eyes on the couch, too tired and depressed to cry anymore. Malinko had thought that breaking up with the only woman he had ever had true feelings for would have been hard for him, but she had made it easier by embarrassing him at the EWA awards show, and the bottle of bourbon that he had finished just moments before had been an aid as well. Besides nailing the same chick all the time got old fast, and it was best if he went on this quest alone. The places hed be going would not be suitable for a woman of Julias...lady like...nature. Malinko: You did know that it wouldnt last forever didnt you? Julia: How would I have known that? You cruel bastard...how would I have known that youd just up and leave me like this? Malinko: Cause everything ends...even love at some point in time dies. Julia fell back into a fit of crying, sending a flood streaming from eyes that she had thought couldnt produce more tears. Malinko just tossed the sack over his shoulder and began to walk out the door. Or at least tried to. A large figure now blocked the way. The ghost white hair and metalic clink of steel on steel named the man, as did his furious mad stare that seemed to bore through your soul. The stare had never phased Malinko the way it did others...that is why he picked this man to be his tag partner...but this time there was something colder, something more sinister behind those pale blue eyes. Kyle Roberts: So its true...you are abandoning me clown? Malinko: For shits sake! What is this a going away party...yes Im leaving...no youre not coming with, therefor Im leaving you. Dont take it too bad...Im leaving her too. Malinko indicates with his thumb the still sobbing nurse over on the couch, and tries to push past his team mate. Roberts doesnt budge. Kyle Roberts: We had a deal...we were going to be champions...the Dark Carnival Era...you plan to walk out on all of that do you? Malinko: Look here hopeless...I was going to be the champion...you were going to be along for the ride cause I couldnt get into the tag division without a partner...I would have picked Julia if I thought I could wrestle with the hard on I would have had seeing her run around in spandex. Roberts face becomes red with repressed rage...he was an inch away from losing his composure. Malinko: Hey, Mental...better Door then a window, better wall then a door? In case you forgot what that means...get OUT OF THE WAY! A quick kidney shot dropped Roberts arm down enough for Malinko to slip by leaving his partner standing holding his ribs in the back ground shooting him a look of pure menace. Victory: Hold up there Malinko, JUST ONE SECOND! Malinko: AH, BLOODY HELL! The last six months people are trying to get rid of me now they wont let me leave? Mike Victory comes up with a piece of paper in his hand, looking winded and more then slightly put out. Victory: I got a contract here that says you wrestle for me, and NO ONE but me for the next ten months. Malinko: Let me see that! Snatching the paper from Victorys hand he peruses the sheet and whistles through his teeth. Malinko: Wow Mikey...you seem to have me by the nuts there. I mean that contract is air tight...theres no way I can get out of that. I guess I cant go to another company to wrestle. Just one thing there Mr. President... Malinko hands the paper back to Mike Victory and leans in close as if hes going to whisper something in his ear. Malinko: IM NOT GOING TO ANOTHER COMPANY!!! Victory puts his hands to his ears to block out the ringing from the obnoxious clowns scream, as Malinko turns to walk out he makes it all the way to the front doors before he is confronted by the Butcher standing beside Malinkos already running motorcycle. Butcher: Gassed up and ready to go. Dont forget to send a post card. Malinko: Yeah whatever meathead...enjoy your target...err, I mean title. Butcher: Just one thing before you go...do you know where you are going? Malinko: I know exactly where Im going... Malinko tosses a black helmet over his unruly white hair and flips the visor up. Malinko: ...Im going to find my Bob. Malinko rides off as the fans begin to cheer the beginning of Tsunami in the background. (BANG BANG BANG The Pyros explode and EWA Tsunami is live from the Gary Mac Arena. Maura Downs and Louis Carvanelie sit at the commentators booth and they watch as the Tsunami theme song plays. The camera pans the arena and we see the fans holding up signs.) LouisCarvanelie: Good evening folks and welcome to a delayed but much anticipated Tsunami. Maura Downs: Yes, with Hurricane Isabelle ripping up the coast line the show had to be delayed, but now due to the good fortune of the storm passing us by we bring you the match that weve been waiting for all week, as we choose the number one contender for the Universal Title. Louis Carvanelie: Not only that but we also bring to you the news that the former champion, The Great Malinko, has left the promotion...no notice no reason...HE JUST LEFT! Maura Downs: One has to wonder what Mike Victory is thinking right now...one of his best friends dead, one of his biggest crowd draws gone...he cant be a happy man. Louis Carvanelie: Well enough of speculation...lets get to the show! The Pyros blow again and show begins.
'Running with the Devil' plays over the PA system and 'The Heat' Rico Vega and Jake Rage step up on the ramp. They high five each other and move on down the ramp as the crowd give the tag team a mixed reaction. They run down to the ring and Jake Rage raises his arms in the centre of the ring while Rico Vega jumps up on the turnbuckle and raises an arm to the crowd. He jumps off and begins jumping up and down, looking towards the entrance ramp, waiting, as the music dies down, and is replaced by 'This is the New Shit'. The fans cheer the two wrestlers, Ace and Rob Flynn, the Blood Pac as they slowly make their way down to the ring. Maura Downs: We have a tag team match here as The Blood Pac take on the team of Rico Vega and Jake Rage. Louis Carvanelie: The Blood Pac are the stronger and bigger side here, facing the smaller, faster high-flyers in Vega and Rage. Maura Downs: An interesting mix and it should be interesting to see who comes out with the win here. The Blood Pac make their way to the ring and slide under the bottom rope, and each climb a turnbuckle, but Rico Vega and Jake Rage don't wait a second more to start the match, as they both slap a forearm across their opponents back. The bell rings and Vega drops Ace with a backdrop off the second turnbuckle while Rage has Flynn on his shoulders, before dropping him face first to the mat. Flynn hits the mat hard and rolls out of the ring as Vega and Rage turn their attention to Ace. Ace slowly gets to his feet, and Rage and Vega suplex him to the mat before dragging him to his feet. Rage holds onto Ace and Vega bounces off the ropes, looking for a heel kick, but Ace moves and Vega hits his own partner Rage. Rage goes down and Ace begins a fist assault on Vega, knocking him back into the ropes, as this match now has some semblence of order. Flynn climbs up on the apron as does Rage as Ace is throwing right hands at Vega against the ropes, before whipping him across the ring, and taking him down with the head-scissors. He hits the ropes again and looks for an elbow drop but Vega moves out of the way, popping up and hitting the ropes, looking for a lionsault, but landing on his feet when Ace moved out of the way, then Vega ducks a right hand and takes him down with a neckbreaker. Vega drags Ace to his feet and whips him into his corner, as Rage grabs a hold of Ace and makes sure he can't get away as Vega runs and flips off Aces chest before ramming him into the turnbuckle using a shoulder-thrust. Vega chops Ace before tagging in Rage. Vega pulls Aces arm up and Rage hits a shot to Aces ribs. Maura Downs: Looks like they are going to work over Ace. Louis Carvanelie: If they can isolate Ace they can take him down and win the match. Maura Downs: Now Rage working over Ace. Rage rakes Aces eyes across the top rope then shoves a foot in his throat, choking him against the ropes. The ref orders the hold to be broken after four, and Rage gives it one final thrust before dragging Ace to his feet and whipping him into the ropes, before placing a headlock on him, wearing him down. Aces face is turning white, as he is slowly fading away and Rage brings them both down to the mat, locking in the leg scissors along with the headlock. Ace is fading and fading and the ref raises the arm. It falls down and the ref raises one finger. 1.... He does it again.... 2.... He lifts it again but Rob Flynn breaks the hold up with a kick to the head. The ref begins talking to Flynn, telling him to stay in the corner, as Vega steps into the ring and Ace is dragged to his feet by Rage, who lifts him up in a powerbomb position as Vega jumps on the top rope... POWERBOMB, AND A LEGDROP FROM THE TOP ROPE!! Vega slips out under the bottom rope as the ref turns and makes the count....1.....2.....(ACE KICKS OUT) Rage looks furious as he lifts Aces head up from the mat, and knocks it straight into the mat with a right hand before dragging him to his feet, then pushing him into the corner and tagging in Vega. \par \par Maura Downs: They are isolating Ace here and that powerbomb followed by the legdrop must have taken a heck of a lot out of Ace there, and Vega and Rage are going to capitalize. Vega with the snapmare, into a front headlock. Louis Carvanelie: And they are just chopping down Ace and not allowing him to get the tag, meanwhile tagging eachother in to keep eachother fresh. Maura Downs: AND FLYNN HAS HAD ENOUGH!! Flynn climbs into the ring and kicks Vega in the back of the head, breaking the front headlock and bringing Rage into the ring. Flynn ducks a right hand then hits a dropkick to Rage who hits the mat and rolls out of the ring. He goes for Vega but the ref gets in the way and pushes Flynn back into his corner. Vega tags in Rage and they double DDT Ace, and Rage hooks the leg...1.....2......(Kick out) Rage hits the mat in frustration, again dragging Ace to his feet, but Ace in desperation pokes Rages eyes, and makes an attempt to get to his corner, but Vega quickly gets in the ring and clothslines Ace from behind, sending him to the mat, before dragging him back to the corner and getting back on the apron. The ref warns Vega as Rage pulls Ace to his feet and back bodydrops him down, before crawling over for the cover... but Flynn again breaks up the count and rushes back to his corner. Rage gets to his feet and drags up Ace with him, and looks for a reverse DDT, but Ace counters with a jawbreaker!! Rage falls backward and Vega tags himself in, rushing into the ring and just managing to stop Ace getting the tag to his partner, but as Vega pulls Ace back into the centre of the ring, Ace kicks him back, but Vega falls into the referee knocking him over!! Ace crawls over and makes the tag to Flynn!! Flynn rushes into the ring and knocks down Rage with a right hand, then Vega with a right, before clothslining Rage down and dropkicking Vega as well. Both men are down as Rage rushes foward into a back body drop, and Vega runs into an armdrag... straight into Ace, who musters the strength to belly to back suplexes Vega, straight over the top rope to the floor!! Ace collapses in the corner as Flynn begins chopping madly at Rage in the corner, but the ref is now up, and he pulls Flynn off Rage, and tells him to get back in the corner!! He never saw the tag!! Maura Downs: Flynn was fresh and he cleaned up there, but the ref was knocked down and never saw the tag. Louis Carvanelie: And now look at Rage, bringing Ace back into his corner!! Maura Downs: Ace has taken quite a beating in this match and he needs to make the tag. Rage lifts Ace into a backbreaker and then goes for the cover, but again Flynn runs in and breaks the tag before sliding back out of the ring. Rage leans over the top rope and is talking trash to Flynn who is talking trash back, but Ace is crawling over, and he rolls up Rage!! 1...2...(Kick out) Rage rolls out and pops back to his feet as Ace makes his own attempt to get up and Rage kicks him straight in the face. Ace goes down and Rage drags him back and puts him between his legs, and lifts him up for a powerbomb but Ace is fighting it, but Rage hits the sit-down powerbomb on Ace!! Ace curls up and just as Rage hooks the leg but again Flynn breaks up the count!! Rage gets in Flynns face as the ref tries to get Flynn out of the ring. Flynn pushes the ref away and slaps Rage across the face. Rage flips and begins hitting rights and lefts on Flynn straight back into the ropes. He steps back and runs foward, but Flynn drops down and pulls the bottom rope down, sending Rage over the top rope. Vega has just got to his feet and Rage and Vega are both dazed on the outside. Flynn hits the ropes, then jumps on the top rope, HITTING A CROSSBODY ON VEGA AND RAGE!! Maura Downs: Flynn has just taken out both Vega and Rage and look at Ace, he's to his feet and in his corner, but Flynn is down on the outside. Louis Carvanelie: Now Ace is climbing to the top!! \par \par Vega, Rage and Flynn get to their feet. Ace signals for Flynn to move, before diving off the top rope in a senton, but Flynn moves out of the way and Ace just catches Rage and Vega!!! \par \par Maura Downs: Ace just took out Rage and Vega as well, but sacrificed himself in the process!\par Louis Carvanelie: And now all four men are down!! \par Maura Downs: Remember though, Rage and Ace are the legal men in this tag team match-up!!\par \par Flynn pulls himself up using the ring steps, and grabs Rage to his feet, and rolls him into the ring. He rolls in with him and DDTs him to the mat, before sliding back outside the ring. He rolls Ace into the ring and Ace crawls over and drapes an arm over Rage. 1.....2.....(Rage just kicks out) Ace locks in the frontfacelock and puts the pressure on, before raising his body off the mat and bringing it down, putting the torc on Rage. Maura Downs: That's smart by Ace there. Louis Carvanelie: Yeah, it means that Ace can recouperate while wearing down Rage. \par Maura Downs: And Flynn and Vega are both on the outside.... Vegas head snaps back with a right from Flynn and Flynn whips Vega into the steel steps! Rage is beginning to get to his feet but Ace brings him back down with a front head take down and then locks in the headlock again. Rage moves his body along and manages to put a foot on the ropes, and the ref orders the hold to be broken. Rage slowly gets to his feet as Ace tags in Flynn. Flynn looks for the clothsline but Rage ducks and knocks Flynn down with a spinning heel kick! Flynn goes down and gets back up to his feet, and rage takes him down with an enziguri kick to the back of the head, and Flynn hits the mat, before nipping back up and throwing a right at Rage, who ducks it and springboard dropkicks Flynn down. Rage then looks for the lionsault, BUT ACE KICKS HIM IN THE STOMACH AS HE HITS THE ROPES!! Rage falls on his back and Flynn turns and places an arm over Rage and the ref makes the count....1.....2.....(Another kick out) Maura Downs: Some backhanded tactics by Ace there, but it worked. Louis Carvanelie: Only so far, Rage kicked out. Maura Downs: Flynn now putting the boots to Rage and Vega is still on the outside! Vega is on the outside but is getting to his feet. He stares up at Ace who is cheering on Flynn and places his head between his legs, BEFORE POWERBOMBING HIM STRAIGHT TO THE FLOOR!! Ace hits the mat hard and lies motionless on the floor, as Vega jumps up on the apron. Flynn turns and gets hung up on the top rope from Vega, and falls straight into a school boy pin by Rage. 1....2.....(KICK OUT) Vega hits the turnbuckle pad and holds his head in frustration and makes to step in the ring, and the ref immediately is drawn to Vega. Rage rolls out of the ring, keeping an eye out on Vega, who is keeping the ref pre-occupied. He grabs a chair and folds it up, before sliding back into the ring, eyeing Vega and the ref, then Flynn who is getting to his feet. Rage wields the chair watching Flynn as he gets to his feet, BUT FLYNN DROPKICKS THE CHAIR INTO RAGES FACE!! Flynn kicks the chair out of the ring and turns, but Vega has pushed the ref out of the way and clothslines Flynn down. Flynn gets to his feet and he clothslines him down again and drags him to his feet. Flynn hits Vega with a couple of shots to the ribs, then firemans carries him down, before getting to his feet and dropping two elbows across the throat a couple of times before dragging Vega to his feet and has him in a waistlock from the back, but Vega is fighting off the German Suplex dodging around and going for one of his own, but Flynn reverses and this time hits the German Suplex on Vega, keeping a hold on him and then getting to his feet, hitting another, and then getting to his feet, having his arms locked in around the waist. He goes for another, but Vega is blocking it, before twisting around AND HITTING A RELEASE GERMAN SUPLEX ON FLYNN!! BUT ACE IS IN THE RING!!! Maura Downs: FINAL CUT!! FINAL CUT!! THIS MATCH HAS TO BE OVER!! Louis Carvanelie: HE DAMN NEAR BROKE VEGA IN HALF!! 1..........2..........RAGE DRAGS THE REF OUT OF THE RING!!\par Maura Downs: WHAT A MATCH!! The ref hits the floor and Ace looks to pick Rage up and drag him up onto the apron, but Rage has a hold of the chair, and swings it backwards, connecting with Ace!! Rage slides into the ring, and everybody can see clearly that he is cut open from the earlier chair shot, and he kicks Ace in the gut, AND HITS THE HUGE FLYING DDT, RAGE BOMB FINISHER!! Rage is celebrating the move and doesn't see Flynn get to his feet, and Rage walks straight into a kick to the stomach and is thrown onto Flynns shoulders, THEN DROPPED WITH THE FLYNN DRIVE!! Vega gets to his feet too and Flynn kicks him in the stomach as well, throwing Vega onto his shoulders... HE LOOKS FOR THE FLYNN DRIVE, BUT VEGA COUNTERS WITH THE SPINNING HEADSCISSORS INTO A DDT!! VEGA HITS THE BURN ON FLYNN!!! Maura Downs: MY GOD!! ALL FOUR MEN ARE DOWN!!! ALL FOUR MEN HAVE HIT THEIR FINISHERS AND NOW NOBODY IS GETTING UP!! AND WHO, WHO ARE THE LEGAL MEN!! Louis Carvanelie: I can't remember with all the confusion, and look at this.... Vega has Ace covered, but Flynn has draped an arm over Rage!! What's the ref going to do?? The ref looks confused so he checks both shoulders and makes the count....1.....2....3!!! Maura Downs: What the hell? Who won the match?? Louis Carvanelie: I don't honestly know, but what can the ref do? What is he doing? The ref walks over to the ring announcer, and speaks to him..... The ring announcer shrugs his shoulders before getting on the mic...\par \par Ring Announcer: The referee has announced this match, A DRAW!! Maura Downs: What a great match-up, but unfortunately in all the confusion, this match has ended in a draw! Louis Carvanelie: What a match! But a controversial ending.\par Maura Downs: Something tells me we haven't seen the last of these four men!!
Scene opens with the Great Malinko walking down the hallway still dressed in his torn jeans and leather jacket. He looks upset at having to come back after seemingly leaving for the last time. He storms into the main office and goes to walk straight past the secretary and into the Victorys private office room. The secretary quickly blocks his path. Secretary: Im sorry Mr. Malinko...Mr. Victory is indisposed at the moment. Malinko: Indisposed? What the hell is that supposed to mean? Look lady I just came to pick up my last pay check...I forgot it before I left. Secretary: Mr. Victory will be happy to mail it to you. Malinko: You dont hear too good do you? Im leaving...gone...no mailing address! Secretary: Well then if youd like to take a seat while Mr. Victory finishes up in his meeting. Malinko: Hes in a meeting? With who? The secretary blushes scarlet...she wasnt supposed to reveal that her boss was in a meeting. In fact she was under direct orders to make sure no one found out about this particular meeting. She decided that it was time to get tough and send the former champion on his way. Secretary: Im sorry but youll have to leave...NOW! Malinkos hand wrapped around the secretarys mouth before she could make any more noise and he moved closer dragging the hysterical woman along with as he put his ear to the door. Muffled voices carry far enough for Malinko to make out what theyre saying...but barely.
Victory: I cant thank you enough for agreeing to this...youre more of a help then you could possibly know. Since Garys death I just have been on edge, I keep seeing him everywhere, in every one. And that ungrateful bastard Malinko leaving isnt helping things...Im just a ball of nerves. Mike Victory indeed did sound shaken. A man on his last wind. A second voice, a stronger deeper voice, foreign to Malinko answered the president of the EWA. Voice: I understand...Gary was my friend too. Well all miss him, even when he was being an evil prick there was still some good in him, and he redeemed himself in the end. Im just happy that you didnt leave the federation in the hands of that bastard, Taylor. Prophet my ass. Mrs. Cleo had more psychic skills. Victory: Leave Taylor in charge? Id sooner close down. That man already causes more trouble then hes worth.
The secretary gets enough presence of mind to bite Malinkos hand and he reflexively lets go uttering a curse. She starts yelling at the top of her lungs and the conversation ends. Before Malinko can even get away from the door, Victory pulls it open and hes the only one in the room. When Victory speaks his voice is back to full strength and vigour. Victory: What the hell do you want? I thought you were gone...finally! Malinko: Theres a small matter of my pay. Victory reaches over to the file cabinet and thrusts the pay stub toward the clown. Victory: There, now get the hell out of here. Malinko: Who were you talking to in there? Whered they go? Victory: I was speaking to an old friend, it was a teleconference call. Is that ok with you? The sarcasm in Victorys voice was strong and he shot a look of absolute murder at his secretary, who was already looking very guilty. Malinko: Well what were you talking about in there? Ive got a right to know! Victory: What right? You dont even work here anymore. With that Victory slammed the door in Malinkos face. The indignation was too much for the clown and he spun on his heal and left the building. Maura Downs: What was that all about? Is Mike Victory leaving? Louis Carvanellie: it would certainly seem so...but who in the world is it that hes leaving us with? Maura Downs: I dont like this. Louis Carvanelie: Well theres no point in worrying ourselves about it when we have work to do.
Maura Downs: Good Point...we dont want the new boss to think we do nothing but gossip here. Now it's time for the 4 Way World of Pain #1 Contender's match. Louis Carvanelie: Woo hoo.. some more AWA rejects. Maura Downs: Will you quit that? Every wrestler who was in AWA and is here now has a contract here. Louis Carvanelie: Big Whoop. I just hope the new owner wont mind me taking a nap during this match. Introducing first... TORNADO! Tornado stands up, and goes to pick up Gates.. Gates with a surprise small package! One... Two... kick out.) Maura Downs: The ref has his hands full here, trying to watch for every pin. Louis Carvanelie: If I were the ref, I'd just take a seat until every man has beaten each other down.. and then announce whoever I want as the winner! Maura Downs: Well thank God you're not the ref. (Gates and Tornado both stand up.. and start brawling. They are against the ropes, throwing lefts and rights at each other. Here comes Sam Hain! THREE!) Maura Downs: Hain wins it! (Hain gets the three count just as Gates slid into the ring. Gates, showing obvious pain on his face, is also showing frustration as he lost another #1 contendership. Hain rolls out of the ring quickly, as the ref follows to raise his hand in victory. Gates is kicking the ropes in anger.. He turns around.. and Yakuza Kicks Tornado right in the face! He then begins to kick on the fallen Halbrook, repeatedly! Gates gets out of the ring.. and grabs a chair!) Maura Downs: What is Gates doing!? This match is over! Louis Carvanelie: He's pissed. (Gates gets back in the ring.. and SLAMS the chair right over the fallen Halbrook! He then goes to Tornado.. nails him in the gut with the chair.. runs to the ropes.. and as he's running, smacks the chair right across the head of Tornado! Tornado is bleeding now too!) Maura Downs: What poor sportsmanship. Louis Carvanelie: Sportsmanship!? This isn't about being a good sport, it's about winning matches! Maura Downs: Well its time to go to a commecial while the EMTs clean this mess up.
Eye of the Tiger plays as Mike Victory makes his way down the entrance ramp to a enormous cheer from the crowd...Victory waves congenially but has a sad look on his face almost as though hes holding back tears. Once reaching the ring, and being handed a mic, Victory signals for silence. Mike Victory: My friends, my fans, my fellow EWA fanatics...I have some sad news. I will be stepping down as Owner of the EWA and relinquishing all of my duties. But fear not, for I would not leave you with out a leader, and I sure as hell would not leave you in the hands of Bob Taylor...Id sooner leave Bob the cloaked guy in charge actually. The crowd cheers at the slam of Talor. Mike Victory: Im not much one for long speeches or sappy good byes, so with out further ado, let me introduce you the new Owner of the EWA... Not a Girl, Not yet a Woman begins to play and the crowd goes wild, as the entrance ramp showers with white sparks and A large figure, dressed in a sparkling purple sequened evening gown makes his way down to the ring slowly. Mike Victory: Ladys and Gentle man, I give you PHILLLLLLLLLL!!! Louis Carvanelie: Phil? You gotta be kidding me...I thought he was planting roses in florida or something like that. Maura Downs: For once I have to agree...this guy was off his rocker before he retired...I cant imagine what retirement has done to him. Especially how he left...Excidium is the one responsible for that limp, when he shattered Phils legs in attaining the now defunct Toughman Championship. Phil climbs the steel steps to the ring as though his knees were stiff and gingerly ducks under the ring ropes. He produces his own microphone from between his ample cleavage. Phil: EWA, I SOLUTE YOU! This federation has survived many trials, the bus accident that nearly ended the lives of every EWA superstar, the title reign of a vindictive clown, the loss of many talented heros and, now the loss of not just one...but two amazing owners. Well now I take on the torch that was lit by Ian Wynn and carried by Mike Victory, and I pledge on my wonderbra that I will not snuff this flame out. Phil and Victory shake hands and walk back up the entrance ramp.
Louis Carvanelie: What an announcement we just heard Maura Downs: And what a match-up we have for you next, as Chris Angel takes on Tommy Purr. Louis Carvanelie: Who would have expected Angel to turn up last week, when he brutally assaulted Reynolds after his match with Halbrook! Maura Downs: And Tommy Purr was impressive also last week, defeating Ender and Hain to earn a shot at the TV title! Louis Carvanelie: These two hWo stalwarts are going to be battling out in the ring, and here comes the first contestant! ' Proud' fills the arena as Tommy Purr makes his way down to the ring followed by thousands of cheers, as he climbs up the steps and between the ropes, climbing on the turnbuckle and saluting the fans. He jumps down and awaits his opponent as 'Bring Me To Life' now replaces 'Proud' and the Mind-freak Chris Angel makes his way down to the ring. He walks down to the ring, ignoring the boos from the crowd. Rolling into the ring he steps up and Purr and Angel stare eachother in the eyes. Purr and Angel lock up and Angel pushes Purr into the corner. He backs off and jumps and down, cockily, smiling at Purr, who surprises Angel when he rushes foward with a flurry of right hands, rocking Angel back into the corner, before taking him down with a droptoehold and flying over and elbowing him in the back of the head. Angel gets to his feet looking angry and holding the back of his head as Purr this time is the one with the smile on his face. Purr circles Angel, looking for an opening, and Angel makes a grab for Purr but he ducks around it and dropkicks Angels knee away from him. Angel falls to one knee and just in time for Purr to dropkick him in the face, before flying off the second rope into a crossbody as Angel gets to his feet. Angel kicks out of the pin attempt by Purr and again gets to his feet, as Purr runs foward, ducking a right hand and sliding through Angels legs, then sweeping his legs from him and dropping another elbow, this time across the back. Angel is getting increasingly frustrated with the quicker Purr. Maura Downs: Looks like Purr is going to use his quickness to get the better of Angel and wear him down. Louis Carvanelie: And at the moment it is working, but if Angel hits a power move on Purr it could all change. Maura Downs: Very true, and look at that, Purr is going for another crossbody, but Angel has caught him! Louis Carvanelie: This is it!! Angel catches Purr and scoops him up on his shoulders, before bringing him down to the mat with a vicous spinebuster like move. Purr holds his back in pain as Angel advances on him, lifting him to his feet and literally throwing him in the corner. Purr hits his back on the turnbuckle, but despite the pain, manages to fly from the corner with a flying elbow, which catches Angel but doesn't send him down. Purr runs off the ropes, but Angel counters with a tilt-a-whirl slam!! Purr again holds his back, and rolls to the side of the ring, where Angel grabs a hold of the top rope and begins stomping down on Purr. Purr tries to fight off Angel and places his body under the bottom rope so that half of his body hangs off the apron, BUT ANGEL JUMPS THE TOP ROPE, LANDING A LEGDROP ACROSS PURRS THROAT, SENDING HIM TO THE FLOOR!! Purr lands awkwardly on the cold hard floor on the outside as Angel gets an insane look in his eyes and an evil grin spreads across his face. He rolls Purr back in the ring and covers, but somehow, Purr manages to kick out at 2!! Maura Downs: Did you see that legdrop!! Amazing agility from Angel there, nearly taking off Purrs head!! Louis Carvanelie: And I can't believe Purr kicked out, but that just gives Angel more chance to put some damage on him! Angel drags Purr to his feet and hooks him up to look for the Fisherman suplex, but Purr fights it off, and rolls up Angel...1...2...(kick out)! Angel gets to his feet and throws a right at Purr, who ducks underneath it and runs at the ropes, sliding out under the bottom rope and sweeping Angels feet from under him before climbing on the apron, and jumping to the top rope, tremendous balance, straight into a legdrop from the top rope onto the back of Angels head. Angel slides out under the bottom rope, holding his neck in pain, and tries to recouperate but Purr has other ideas. He hits the ropes and comes back, diving over the top rope with a perfect corkscrew moonsault!! Angel and Purr hit the floor on the outside, and although Purr is hurting, he got the best of that encounter and gets to his feet. He manages to pull Angel to his feet and looks for a DDT, but Angel doesn't go down, and instead pushes Purr back, trying to ram him into the ring post, BUT PURR COUNTERS, releasing his grip on Angel and moving out of the way at the last second, Angel cracks the ring post with his shoulder, before collapsing to the mat. Purr climbs up on the apron and watches Angel slowly get to his feet, before jumping off into a double-axe handle, knocking him back down, face first to the floor on the outside. Purr again jumps up on the apron as Angel takes a little more time to get to his feet, meanwhile Purr is getting the crowd into this match. He jumps off, looking for another axe-handle, but Angel catches him AND BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEXES HIM STRAIGHT INTO THE CROWD BARRIER!! Purrs back bent awkwardly on the crowd barrier and he fell into the crowd, as Angel laughs at his actions. Maura Downs: My god!! This match is turning into a street fight! Louis Carvanelie: And look at Angel, sliding into the ring to break up the ten count!! Angel slides back out of the ring and steps over the crowd barrier, as Purr struggles to his feet. Purr desperately tries to fight off Angel with punches to the face, but Angel comes straight back with rights of his own, fighting off into the crowd as the count reaches 3... They make their way through the crowd and back around as Purr takes most of the beating, occasionally coming back with rights and lefts as they near the crowd barrier further down. The count has reached 6 as Purr grabs a can from one of the fans and throws the contents into Angels face, before clothslining him over the ring barrier!! Angel hits the mat and flips over on his stomach as Purr climbs over the ring apron and quickly slides in and out of the ring, breaking up the ten count again. He makes his way to Angel who is wiping the drink from his face as he gets to his feet, only to turn into a Tornado DDT!! Purr slides into the ring and climbs the turnbuckle, raising his arms to the crowd. Maura Downs: Tommy Purr making sure he doesn't let Angel get the better of him.\par Louis Carvanelie: And it's working at the moment, although Angel is just getting angrier and angrier! Angel gets to his feet, shaking his head and trying to regain his senses. He slides into the ring and blocks a punch from Purr, then throws a right of his own, before whipping Purr into the ropes, but Purr ducks a clothsline attempt, bouncing off the ropes and looking for a clothsline of his own, but Angel ducks that one, and as Purr bounces off the rope, takes him down with a hip toss, followed by a legdrop, and then the cover, but Purr kicks out at 2. Angel gets to his feet and soon after Purr does, as Angel whips him into the ropes again, and Angel goes for the dropkick, but Purr holds onto the ropes, and flies over, hooking the legs for a pin with the bridge! 1...2..(kick out) Angel gets to his feet again, and Purr hits a right hand, before whipping Angel into the ropes and knocking Angel down with the heel kick. Angel goes down and Purr jumps through the ropes, signalling for his finisher, as he springboards off the top rope, but Angel catches him, throwing him back off, but Purr flips back onto his feet and ducks a right from Angel before hitting the ropes and then looking for a crossbody, but Angel counters, into a fall-away slam!! Maura Downs: What a counter there by Angel and we are seeing an excellent, fast paced match-up here! Louis Carvanelie: Purr is doing everything he can to take out Angel but Angel just countered his finisher, then the crossbody. Maura Downs: Two excellent wrestlers in a battle here and look at Angel, knocking lumps out of Purr!! Angel pulls Purrs head up and knocks it straight back down into the mat, over and over again, before jumping off him and yelling at him to get to his feet, which Purr does, only to be knocked straight back down with a clothsline. Purr nips back up and gets taken down with a stiff right to the head, as Angel drags him up and snap suplexes him down, still holding onto the waist, and rolling over and back onto his feet, and snap suplexing him again then floating over and locking in the cross-face chicken wing!! Purr screams in pain and waves his hand about, looking for the rope. His eyes widen as he pulls himself foward with one hand, crawling towards the ropes. Angel releases the pressure for a second, before putting the pressure on even more. Purr shouts in pain, as he makes another attempt to crawl foward. Maura Downs: Purr fighting with everything he has, refusing to quit. AND HE'S DONE IT! Louis Carvanelie: Purr finally getting to the bottom rope, but how much did that take out of him? Maura Downs: And Angel is infuriated!! Angel drags Purr into the middle of the ring and hooks the leg... 1...2....3!NO! Purr just kicked out in time and now Angel is looking for the submission again, but Purr rolls over and kicks Angel away, and then Angel comes back with stomps to the mid-section, before bending down to drag Purr up, but Purr counters!! Purr throws his legs up and locks in the Triangle Hold!! Angel is now trying to fight off Purr but Purr isn't going to release the hold. Maura Downs: What a move!! The triangle choke on Angel, and Purr has brought him down to one knee. Louis Carvanelie: I thought Purr was out of it, but now he's wearing Angel down with the hold! Maura Downs: What a match!! And look at Angel, he's fading away!! Angels eyes slowly close and the ref checks the arm. Raises it, and it drops. 1... Raises it again, and it drops again. 2... Raises it again, BUT IT DOESN'T DROP!! Angel desperately fights off Purr but is still in the choke hold, but he gets to his feet and reaches down, BEFORE LIFTING PURR AND POWERBOMBING HIM TO THE MAT!! Purr doubles over and Angel collapses as well, and both men are down. The ref starts his ten count. 1.....2.....3.....4....5.....6......7....Both men pull themselves up and Angel stumbles over to Purr and the two men stare eachother down, and Angel slaps Purr in the face, but Purr retaliates with a right hook to the jaw, and another one, sending Angel back into the ropes, and then tieing him up between the top and middle ropes!! Angel flays but doesn't release himself from the ropes, and Purr dropkicks him in the face and still Angel is hung up in the ropes!! Purr smiles now and hits the ropes, hitting a spear on Angel. Angel is hurting and desperately tries to free himself as Purr hits the ropes again, but Angel manages to free himself, and drives a knee into Purrs face!! Purr hits the mat and rolls outside, lying face down and not moving. Angel falls back and leans against the middle ropes as he smacks the side of his head. Maura Downs: Purr is in a bad way here. A vicous knee to the side of the head by Angel, and Purr is just lying motionless on the outside. Louis Carvanelie: Yeah, and Angel isn't looking too good either, but at least he's in the ring. Maura Downs: Not for long though, look, he's going for Purr on the outside now! Purr is still not moving as Angel picks him up from the ground, before throwing his head down where it smacks violently with the floor. Angel picks him up again, and throws him on his shoulders. He runs towards the ring post, but Purr slides off, and pushes Angel into the ring post, before collapsing down to the floor!! Maura Downs: How the hell did Purr do that?? He's practically unconcious!! Louis Carvanelie: Instinct Maura, instinct. Maura Downs: And now both men are down on the outside, and amazingly, Purr is starting to get to his feet Louis Carvanelie: But look, so is Angel!! Angel gets to his feet first and wipes blood from his head, before staring at Purr who is slowly getting to his feet. Angel slides in and out of the ring breaking the count, and then rushes foward to Purr, who manages to counter with a backbodydrop!! Purr falls back with an elbow, landing straight on Angel, but finds it difficult to get back to his feet. In the end, he manages to pull himself up using the apron as Angel pushes himself up using the stairs, but Purr walks over and brings Angels face down on the steel steps with a bulldog!! Angels face hits the steel steps and he bounces back hitting the floor again as Purr climbs up onto the steel steps, jumps on the bottom rope, INTO A PERFECT ASAI MOONSAULT!!! Maura Downs: What a move, and I don't know where Purr is pulling this out from? Louis Carvanelie: A beautiful Asai moonsault after vaulting from the steel steps, and Angel, surely is done now!? Maura Downs: Purr rolling Angel into the ring, and now rolling in after him, Hooking the leg.... 1.....2.....NO!! HOW THE HELL DID ANGEL KICK OUT? Purr looks surprised, and he wonders what he has to do to put Angel down!! Angel slowly tries to push himself up, and somehow gets to his feet, but he is dazed and Purr hits the ropes, before hitting a dropkick to the back of Angel, who falls on the middle rope! Maura Downs: Tomfoolery!! Louis Carvanelie: NO! Angel moved at the last second!! Angel slides out under the bottom rope and pulls Purrs feet from under him, then drags him out under the bottom rope. Purr hits Angel with a right before Angel can do anything and whips him into the ring post. Angels head bounces off the ring post and busts him open and Purr quickly goes on the offensive, dropping him chest first on the crowd barrier. Before climbing up on the barrier and dropping a leg across the back of his head. Angel goes down and Purr quickly breaks up the ten count by entering and leaving the ring. He throws Angel over the barrier and then hits his head on the ring apron, and then again, before dragging him up onto the apron and going up with him. Angel fires a right at Purr who fires one of his own. Purr kicks Angel in the gut, and drops him with a DDT on the ring apron!! Angels head snaps off the apron and he splats down on the floor on the outside. Purr jumps down off the apron and drags Angel to his feet, and then onto the apron again. Purr grabs a hold of Angel and climbs to the top turnbuckle. Angel follows suit. Maura Downs: What's Purr going to do here? Louis Carvanelie: I don't know, but both are in a dangerous position! Maura Downs: Purr takes a right hand by Angel and the two men are fighting on the top rope!! Louis Carvanelie: And look at them both, they are now standing on the turnbuckle!! Maura Downs: OH MY GOD!! THEY BOTH WENT FOR A FACEBUSTER OFF THE TOP!! Both men are down, and each have an arm over the over. The ref looks confused as to what to do, before going down and counting....1.....2....Both mens shoulders shoot up!! Slapping the mat, Purr and Angel get to their feet, and Angel chops Purr in the chest, but Purr retaliates with a chop of his own, and Angel and Purr are just chopping the hell out of eachother, before Purr gets brought to his knees by a final chop from Angel, who then whips Purr into the ropes amd clothslines him down, and going for the cover. 1...2...3...NO! A kick out by Purr!! That must've been 2 3/4 there. Purr pushes himself to his feet and Angel kicks him in the gut, and twists his arm round, then pounding on the arm with an arm wrench, twisting it around again and locking in the armbar, but Purr reverses and locks in an armbar on Angel, before pushing him foward and Angel frustrated runs foward straight into a droptoehold and Angel hits the middle rope!! Purr runs across and HITS THE TOMFOOLERY!! He climbs on the top turnbuckle, and watches as Angel gets to his feet slowly, but before Purr can dive off the top rope, Angel runs foward and jumps on the second rope, HITTING A TOP ROPE BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX ON PURR!!! Purr hits the mat and the force sends him straight out of the ring! Maura Downs: What a devastating Belly to Belly, and Purr has GOT to be finished. Louis Carvanelie: Angel needs to get Purr into the ring and make the cover though. Maura Downs: Angel slides out of the ring and picks up Purr and rolls him into the ring. He rolls into the ring and makes the cover....1......2.....(Kick out) Angel gets frustrated and rolls out of the ring, grabbing a steel chair. He folds it up and slides into the ring. He goes to swing it but the ref grabs it. They struggle over it and Angel shoves the ref into the corner before placing the chair on Purr..... He goes to the outside on the apron, and jumps on the top rope, looking for the Metamorphis, BUT HITS THE METAMORPHIS ON THE CHAIR!!! PURR MOVED OUT OF THE WAY!!! Purr rolls over for the cover and the ref comes to his senses.... 1........ 2...... 3....... IT'S OVER!! Maura Downs: Purr has managed to pull out a victory over Chris Angel here tonight!! Louis Carvanelie: What an exciting match that was I have to say!\par Maura Downs: And it ended with the Metamorphis onto a steel chair!!
Not a Girl Not yet a woman hits yet again as Phil makes his way down to the ring accompanied by Mini-Phil, giving Tommy Purr an absent minded nod of the head to acknowledge his victory. Making his way up the steel steps Chris Angel begins to regain his senses and get to his feet...Phil once again removes his microphone from in between his bossom, and gives Chris Angel a hand up. Phil: Mr. Angel...that was quite a match you just fought there. Angel looking very sore still looks at Phil confused as to why it is he came all the way down to the ring just to congradulate him on a match. Phil: Yes...quite a match indeed. Oh...Did I mention that Mike Victory has left the building? Good old Mike...gone. Its a pity...especially for you Maura Downs: What does he mean? Especially for him? Phil: Yes it is quite a pity...because now that OlMikey is gone Im free to say this....YOURE FIRED! Louis Carvanelie: What! Why? Phil: Why? CAUSE I CAN! Phil begins to laugh maniacally, and Mini Phil joins him as Chris Angel looks on with a shocked expression. Phils new theme music begins to play The Bitch is Back Maura: Oh my God! Phils gone EVIL! Louis: Well at least we dont have to listen to Britney Spears anymore.
"In The End" by Linkin Park plays as Ender makes his ways out to the ring being accompanied by his new manager "Bloody" Mary Morte. The fans are mixed some are cheering and some are booing him. Then he gets in the ring and waits for his opponent and he and Mary are discussing strategy when New Dawn Fades by Joy Division Blasts over the PA) (A chorus of boos thunders throughout the stadium as "Evolution's Pick" Jake Jarvis slowly walks out. He stands at the top of the ramp for a moment absorbing all the jeers. As he walks down the ramp way he smiles at any of the lady fans that happen to be standing by the guard rail. Jarvis slides into the ring and climbs to the second turnbuckle, he faces the crowd and spits into it. He then climbs down and and slicks back his hair.) Jarvis and Ender are having a staredown, neither man giving an inch and they begin to circle each other as the bell rings. LC: Oh god not another AWA match Im sick of them MD: Louis for the last time they are not AWA guys anymore they are contracted EWA wrestlers now shut the fuck up about how bad AWA is or was they are EWA now and that what matters. LC: Geez maura calm down is it that time of the month or something? In the ring Jarvis and Ender stand face to face constantly bad mouthing each other. Each word angers one another more and more. Suddenly Ender steps back and throws a hard right and nails Jarvis in the face. The match is finally underway. Ender continues with hard rights to Jarvis. He works him into a corner and starts delivering some blistering chops to the chest each glistening red with each hit. Jarvis holds his chest in pain as Ender continues the unforgiving assault. Ender pushesJarvis into the ropes and whips him off of it sending him to the other side.Jarvis bounces off the ropes and runs back at Ender and clotheslines Ender and then catches him with a spinning spinebuster. Jarvis holds onto one leg on the ground and decides to pin Ender. The ref counts. 1...2...Kick out! Jarvis gets up onto his feet along with Ender. He whips Ender into the ropes. Ender bounces off the ropes and suddenly jumps into the air and catches Jarvis with a reverse neckbreaker drop. The crowd cheers at the turn of events but Ender doesnt care. Ender stands up and picks up Jarvis. He kicks him in the gut and pulls him down. Just then Ender powerbombs Jarvis. Jarvis hits the mat with tremendous tenacity and his power suddenly transforms over to Ender. Ender looks down at the fallen Jarvis and laughs at him. Ender runs over to the closest turnbuckle and climbs it to the top rope.Ender jumps off and lands a flying elbow drop right across the chest of Jarvis. Ender finally gets his first cover of the night. 1...2...Kick out! LC: Well this match has been pretty even so far but I'll be glad when its over MD: Yes it has been a pretty even match with both men getting a pinfall attempt on each other. They both are back up and both are hitting each other with everything they got, and Enders manager Bloody Mary is screaming because all of a sudden Fiscus is in the ring and he and Jarvis are doubleteaming Ender, The ref tries to regain order but in doing so he gets knocked out and Jarvis and Fiscus picks up Ender and does a double powerbomb and Ender is down and out, and Mary jumps in the ring and Fiscus grabs her when all of a sudden there is a man come running out from the crowd, he jumps in the ring and ddts Fiscus, Ender is back up and he ddts Jarvis, Ender and the mysterious man shake hands but then Jarvis manager Jenna Cyde is in the ring. and she is ready to hit her trademark which is hitting people with a lead pipe from behind. She then puts jarvis over Ender and wakes up the ref. He counts even though he is groggy, 1 2 3 but he doesnt see Ender foot on the rope MD: Damn Ender was robbed LC: Wow this was actually a pretty interesting match but who was that mysterious guy who helped Ender
Maura Downs: Coming up next is a match I know everyone has been waiting to see. It may not be the biggest match in the history of the EWA but in the mind of the two participants this match means everything. Louis Carvanelie: Its just to bad its not for the TV title I am sick of seeing that belt around the waist of that no talent hack Pain Express. [The lights go out around the arena as laser beams roam around the crowd. "Angry Chair" by Alice in Chains" starts playing as the lasers all line up to form a straight and flat plane across the around going out away from the front of the stage. The crowd goes wild as Pain Express emerges onto the stage. He has the EWA Television Title over his right shoulder as he stands at the top of the stage. He then raises it up into the air before making his way down the ramp. On the way down he slaps the hands of some fans. PE then slides into the ring while the crowd chants his name. PE waits for the match to begin as he hands to the TV Title to the referee.] Maura Downs: Pain Express looks ready. Louis Carvanelie: He better be ready to lose. [Life By Desrie hits and the fans in the arena give Kyle Roberts a not so pleasant welcome. Roberts walks out and looks down at the ring, Roberts begins making his way down to the ring.] Maura Downs: Kyle Roberts isn't waiting for any formalities he just wants a piece of Pain Express. The Bitch is Back by Nazareth sounds over the arena again pulling both men up short...this time Phil and his runtish lackey dont even make the effort to walk down to the ring. They just stands at the entrance ramp as Roberts and The Indiana Terminator stare at him. Maura: Its Phil...AGAIN! How many times is this guy going to interupt the show? Louis: Shhh...he looks like hes about to do something interesting. Phil: Im sorry Mr. Roberts...Mr...uh...Express...but Im afraid I just couldnt let this go on like this...you see, I after I went down and fired Mr. Angel, my little friend reminded me that Id let him fire someone tonight. So...little one...which one do you want to can? Louis: Please, let me choose!!! Maura: Shut up...he might very well choose us! Mini-Phil: Tough choice Boss...they both look like a couple of putzs to me. Hey...Pain Express, you got a quarter? Pain Express looks more then just a little annoyed as he shakes his head no. Mini-Phil: Well then...what good are you to me? Youre fired. Hahahahahahaha. Loius: YES!!! HE FIRED PAIN EXPRESS! Maura: Phil is on a rampage! Hes cleaning up the roster, but there doesnt seem to be any rhyme or reason to his actions. The Bitch is Back plays again as Phil and Mini-Phil make their way back to the Main Office. Maura: Up next we have quite a doosy. We have "The Living Nightmare" James Roberts going up against The Butcher in a Cage Match! Louis: Just what I need another snorefest. Maura: What are you talking about! This match is going to be explosive. Its gonna be HUGE! Louis: Whatever.
[The arena lights slowly dim out one by one, putting the whole arena into darkness. As Five Pointe O's 'The Infinity' begins to play, words appear on the titantron] No Remorse. No Pity. No Mercy. Feel...My...Pain. [As the song continues to play, a blanket of smoke rises onto the stage, and after a short while, the rampway erupts into flames, as 'The Living Nightmare' James Roberts appears in the smoke, to a loud chorus of boos from the crowd. He begins to walk down to the ring, as more flames to shoot up on either side of him. Once he gets to the ring, he walks round to the side, and steps in, where he walks to the centre, and raises one arm to the air, prompting more flames to flare up around the ring, illuminating the darkness in the arena.] Louis: Roberts is gonna kick the Butcher's ass. Can you feel it Maura? Maura: Feel what Louis? Louis: Feel the nightmare about to fall on the Butcher. His era is gonna be over, hehe. [The lights go out, and the arena is silenced. The opening chords of Kill You blast from the PA system and fireworks are set off at the top of the entrance ramp, as Butcher walks through flames. He makes his way down the ramp accompanied by the fireworks and steps in the ring. As the Butcher and James Roberts stare each other down at opposite sides of the ring the cage starts to lower.] Maura: Just so all you EWA fans out there know. In a cage match the only way to win is to touch the area outside of the ring first. Louis: Blah, blah, blah. Let's just get on with the match. [The cage is locked into place and the bell rings signaling the start of the match. Roberts and the Butcher lock up in the middle of the ring. Butcher uses his size advantage to whip Roberts into the ropes. Butcher goes for a clothesline and Roberts ducks. Roberts bounces off the ropes again and Butcher tries again but Roberts ducks under Butcher's arm. Double axe-handle to the back of the Butcher. James is really laying into the Butcher now and is trying to back him into the corner. Butcher is fighting back though and gets a big forearm to the head of the Living Nightmare. Butcher picks him up off the ground and throws him into the cage. Butcher starts putting some boots to Roberts then picks him back up again. Looks like Butcher's going for the kill early but Roberts slides off the back of Butcher. Chop to the back of the knee by Roberts. Roberts is now starting to work on that knee.] Maura: James Roberts is really trying to wear down that knee of Butcher's. Louis: If Butcher can't walk he can't win, hehe. [Butcher is starting to fight back agianst Roberts. Roberts is continue to take strikes against Butcher's knee but that doesn't stop Butcher from grabbing him around the throat. Butcher holds onto Roberts as he gets up onto his legs and with a massive show of strength he chokethrows Roberts back into the turnbuckle/cage and starts wailing on him with punches. Butcher backs out of the turnbuckle and comes running back in for a body splash but Roberts moves out of the way as the tides turn. Roberts is now in the corner taking it to Butcher. Roberts whips the Butcher into another corner as he runs in after him. Then he drops Butcher with a backbody drop on the rebound. Roberts starts climbing the cage but he's dragged down about halfway by the Butcher. Butcher takes Roberts and starts slamming into the cage head first like a rag doll.] Louis: We have blood! Maura: Brutal. [Butcher is grating Roberts' head against the cage. Butcher them slams him down with a chokeslam. It seems that the Butcher is not trying to escape but to utterly destroy his opponent. He is now repeatedly picking Roberts up and chokeslaming him. The chokeslams seem to be taking a toll on Roberts as his head is bounced off that mat. Finally the Butcher goes for the end and signals for the Butcher's Blade. He has the Living Nightmare up! No, Roberts countered it into a neckbreaker! It just look liked Butcher's neck was snapped in two!! Both men are down.] Maura: My god what a counter! Louis: So what if he can't capitalize on it. He should be out of the cage by now. [Both men are slowing getting up. Butcher is the first one up and he charges at a kneeling Roberts. Roberts rolls out of the Butcher's way and counters with a kick to Butcher's face! Butcher is holding his mouth as Roberts follows up with a Crippler Crossface. We can see the blood flying out Butcher's mouth as he screams in pain. Roberts holds the move until he feels he's worn the Butcher down enough. Roberts once again starts climbing up the side of the cage. When he reaches the top the Butcher is still down. Roberts looks down at the Butcher and then looks down the other side of the cage at the ground . . and the win. We can see the conflict in his eyes. Finally with a smirk and a look of determination and looks at the Butcher . . and jumps off the cage!! Roberts jumps off the cage trying to nail a headbutt onto the Butcher. ROBERTS MISSES!! The Butcher rolled out of the way at the last second!] Maura: My god! Louis: YOU DUMBASS! You had it won. [Both men are still down on the mat which is quickly turning crimson in color. Once again the Butcher is the first one up. He looks down at Roberts and then looks up at the top of the steel cage. Butcher then walks over to the Living Nightmare and pulls him up by his hair. With Roberts in a kneeling position the Butcher starts yelling at him with his blood being spit into his face. "THIS IS MY ERA!" The Butcher then looks down at his hands which are smeared with his blood. "And the blood is on your hands!" Butcher then starts rubbing his blood on Roberts' face. This seems to snap Roberts out of his stupor and he racks the Butcher! The Butcher is now bent over and Roberts takes his advantage. Roberts grabs Butcher by the throat. Exodus of Existence! Roberts hits his finisher as he used up the last of his second, or is it third, wind. Both men are down.] Maura: Who's going to get up first Louis?! Louis: Like I care woman. The Butcher begins to stir and begins to start crawling for the exit, but Roberts is up as well and as making the same shambling/stumbling run for the door. The two exhausted men reach the exit at the same time pushing to be the first man out, but Butcher brings his elbow up into Roberts jaw with the last of his strength and stumbles out of the ring a falls to the concrete floor below. Louis: NO! Maura: Youre damned straight! THE BUTCHER racks up another win. And the way hes going that belt is going to be around his waist for a long time coming.
Maura Downs: Right now we have a contest between the 'One Man Riot' Alan Fiscus and Caveman! Louis Carvanelie: Caveman is big and strong, but slow and not too clever. If Fiscus is to stand a chance against the big man he'll have to ground him first and use his quickness to take advantage and somehow pull out a win. Maura Downs: It should be an interesting match-up and here comes the One Man Riot. 'Dig It' accompanies Fiscus to the ring as he makes his way down to a somewhat mixed reaction from the fans. He turns to the entrance way as the opening chords to 'You should be dancing' hits the PA sytem and the large figure of Caveman struts onto the ramp, accompanied by Sam Smarts. Caveman makes his slow descent towards the ring and has his arms folded as he makes his way to the ring. He steps up the steel steps and over the top rope, looking down at Fiscus, who shows no intimidation towards Caveman. Maura Downs: Fiscus isn't backing down here. Louis Carvanelie: Who cares? You don't need to be intimidated to get your ass kicked! Maura Downs: I know, but it shows courage to step up to a man like Caveman! Louis Carvanelie: Or stupidity, whicher one I don't care! Fiscus starts the match off as the bell rings and Fiscus begins throwing rights at Cavemans face in an attempt to bring the man down. Caveman takes the shots and laughs as Fiscus runs off the ropes and attempts to clothsline the big man down, but Caveman doesn't go down. He stumbles a bit and looks a little angry at the stiff clothsline, but doesn't have time to dwell on it as Fiscus again runs off the ropes and attempts to take Caveman down. Caveman is still on his feet as once more Fiscus hits the ropes and hits a dropkick to Cavemans knee, which brings him down to one knee. Fiscus begins kicking Caveman in the face before bouncing from the ropes and coming back at Caveman, who grabs Fiscus by the throat and lifts him into the air for the chokeslam, but Fiscus kicks out of it and is dropped to his feet where he hits a couple of rights to Cavemans jaw and once more hits the ropes, BUT CAVEMAN TAKES HIS HEAD OFF WITH A VICOUS CLOTHSLINE!! Maura Downs: Fiscus was coming at Caveman but Caveman is just too strong! Louis Carvanelie: If you are going to beat the man, then you have to use speed, and not let him hit his power moves. Maura Downs: That easy is it Louis? Would you like to step into the ring with the Caveman? Louis Carvanelie: Any day! Maura Downs: Ha, I'd like to hear you say that to his face... Caveman picks Fiscus to his feet and literally tosses him into the corner before running foward, but Fiscus manages to get the boot up and hit Caveman in the face. Fiscus jumps up onto the top rope and hits a missile dropkick on Caveman, who stumbles back into the ropes and bounces off, still on his feet. Fiscus takes one look and hits a springboard dropkick onto Caveman, who again stumbles into the ropes. Caveman is leaning against the ropes and Fiscus runs at him, hitting Caveman with a crossbody, taking both men over the top rope. Fiscus managed to escape Caveman falling on him and gets to his feet, watching Caveman closely. Caveman gets to his feet and is immediately jumped on by Fiscus, who locks in a headlock, as he dangles from Caveman. Maura Downs: Fiscus is doing everything he can to take Caveman down and now he has the sleeper applied! Louis Carvanelie: Surprisingly, Caveman is fading. Could it be that Fiscus could put Caveman to sleep!! Maura Downs: AAAAAH NO!! Caveman out of nowhere counters by dragging Fiscus over and slapping him to the floor. Fiscuss body slaps against the cold floor and he holds his back in pain as Caveman drags him to his feet, AND WHIPS HIM INTO THE STEEL STEPS!! Fiscus hits the steps hard, and the force of the whip dislodges the stairs. Caveman laughs as he makes his way over and picks up the steel steps, raising them above his head. Maura Downs: NO!! NO!! CAVEMAN IS GOING TO TRY CRUSH FISCUS WITH THOSE DAMN STEEL STEPS!! Louis Carvanelie: He's sick alright, but he'll do anything to get ahead, which is good. Fiscus is backing away from Caveman who has the steps held high, but suddenly, Fiscus droptoe holds Caveman, and his head crashes down against the steel of the steps!! Caveman rests his head on the steps, a little dazed as Fiscus climbs up on the apron, and hits a legdrop across the back of Cavemans head, crushing it against the steel!! The fans cheer the move wildly as Fiscus rolls into the ring and back out, breaking the count. Fiscus decides to grab a chair, and folds it up, raising it to the crowd, BEFORE SWINGING IT AT CAVEMANS HEAD!! BUT CAVEMAN MOVED!! Caveman moved out of the way, and the sound of chair against steel reeks havoc with the fans ears, as Fiscus raises the chair slightly, AND CAVEMAN PUNCHES IT STRAIGHT INTO FISCUSS FACE!! Fiscus gets busted wide open and as blood pours down his face, Caveman laughs and rolls him into the ring. Maura Downs: Caveman has made a mess of Fiscuss face, and he's laughing at his sick actions! Louis Carvanelie: I'm sure Cavemans face would be a mess if Fiscus would have hit with that chair! Maura Downs: I think Fiscus thought he could take the big man out of this match with that chair shot, but he'd have been disqualified. Maybe he just wanted to hurt Caveman, I don't know. Louis Carvanelie: Maybe? Of course he wanted to hurt Caveman, Caveman is trying to destroy him. Hey, I got a tip for you... If someone tries to attack you, try kicking them in the balls! Maura Downs: What?? Louis Carvanelie: Forget it... Caveman steps up onto the apron, and steps over the top rope. Fiscus is bleeding but still makes an attempt to make an offense. He kicks at Cavemans knees but doesn't manage to take him down as Caveman clasps both of his hands together, and brings them down in an axe handle acoss the back of Alan Fiscus! Fiscus hits the mat but doesn't stay there long as Caveman drags him up to his feet and throws him up onto his shoulders. He throws Fiscus on the top rope turnbuckle and after the Snake Eyes, hits the Big Boot on Fiscus!! Maura Downs: This man is 7 foot!! This man is 500 lbs!! And he is taking apart Alan Fiscus!!! Louis Carvanelie: The power of this man is unbelievable, and amazingly, Fiscus is pulling himself up by the ropes. Maura Downs: And Caveman is just watching on. Fiscus drags himself up in the corner, and Caveman runs foward, looking for the NutCracker, BUT FISCUS MOVES!! Caveman crashes into the corner, and Fiscus rolls him up, 1....2.....(Caveman powers out) Fiscus gets to his feet and narrowly misses a clubbing right hand, and throws a couple of punches at Caveman, before ducking another right and kicking at Cavemans knees, eventually bringing him down on one knee before hitting a version of the shining wizard, cracking Cavemans head between both his feet, and Caveman hits his head on the mat. Fiscus jumps to his feet and drops a leg across Cavemans head, then rolls through and back to his feet, before sitting down in the corner, willing Caveman to his feet. Caveman pushes himself up slowly and Fiscus runs at him, looking for a spear, but Caveman plucks him out of the air, and hoists him up, hitting a powerbomb on Fiscus!! Fiscus crashes to the mat and Caveman places a foot over Alan Fiscus, in a cocky cover.... 1.....2.....(Fiscus kicks out) Maura Downs: Maybe that was a mistake by Caveman there. He could have had the win if he'd have covered by hooking the leg. Louis Carvanelie: There's no guarentee of that, but it would have been a lot more effective than that cocky cover!! Maura Downs: And now Caveman is angry!! Caveman grabs Fiscus by the throat and raises him high in the air, laughing at Fiscus in his helpless state, until Fiscus counters into an arm bar!! Fiscus and Caveman fall to the mat and Fiscus rears back with arm bar, and Caveman is yelling out in pain. Fiscus tightens the hold and Caveman calls out again. He crawls across the ring, the added weight of Fiscus making little difference. He crawls and crawls until Fiscus realises that Caveman is going to reach the ropes, and bends the arm around Cavemans back, and adding a crossface style element to the submission hold as well, pulling back the face, putting pressure on the neck! Caveman yells even louder in pain now. Maura Downs: That was an excellent submission move there by Fiscus, and he was clever enough to realise that Caveman was going to reach the ropes!! Louis Carvanelie: He still might, he's a lot closer than before. Maura Downs: BUT LOOK AT THIS!! Caveman is getting to his feet, and Fiscus still has the hold applied... UNTIL CAVEMAN FALLS STRAIGHT ONTO HIS BACK, CRUSHING FISCUS!! Fiscus is lifeless as Caveman gets to his feet and pulls Fiscus up, and locks in the Big Smart Hold!! The ref checks Fiscus.... He raises the arm... and it drops....1..... He raises it again...... It drops again.....2.... He raises it one last time.... AND IT DROPS!! Maura Downs: Caveman has won the match!! Caveman has literally squashed Fiscus, and it cost Fiscus the match. Louis Carvanelie: Fiscus looked like he was in control, but BAM, all of Cavemans weight falls on him, and it's over... Maura Downs: Caveman and Fiscus in a battle, but Caveman walks away with the win right here... DAVLIN MCCAINE VS LAYTON MATTHEWS NUMBER ONE CONTENDER FOR UNIVERSAL CHAMPIONSHIP ON THE LINE Maura Downs: And what a match we have for you coming up, as Layton Matthews takes on Davlin McCaine, for a shot at Butchers Universal Championship match!! Louis Carvanelie: Two great wrestlers and athletes battle it out here next, and we find out who'll be facing Butcher for the title. Maura Downs: Whichever man it is, Butcher has a tough task ahead of him. Louis Carvanelie: You are damn right Maura, Layton Matthews or Davlin McCaine, it isn't going to be a walk in the park. Maura Downs: And here comes Layton Matthews... 'Never Duplicated' by Fabulous hits the PA system and Layton Matthews struts out from behind the curtain and is engulfed in boos. He smiles cockily and gestures that soon the championship belt will be around his waist and he makes his way down the ramp. He slides in under the bottom rope and leans down, watching the entrance ramp waiting for Davlin McCaine, as 'In Da Club' now explodes from the PA system, and the fans blow the roof off the arena as Davlin rushes to the ring, not waiting to take the slow walk down the ramp. He slides under the bottom rope and fights off punches to the back of the head, knocking Layton back with some huge right hands, whipping him into the ropes and hitting a clothsline on him. Layton hits the mat but nips back to his feet to a dropkick to the jaw from Davlin, who then drags Layton to his feet again and whips him into the turnbuckle and hitting a flying splash on Layton. Davlin beckons Layton off his feet, shouting obscenities at him and Layton pushes himself up, as Davlin grabs a hold of Laytons head, and runs up the ropes, hitting a sort of reverse Dudley Dog move on Layton, who hits the mat. Davlin goes for the cover, but before the ref can even get to his knees, he pulls Laytons head off his shoulders and says it's not over yet... Maura Downs: Davlin wants revenge! The Prophecy took him out last week and now he wants Layton Matthews to pay! Louis Carvanelie: But he also wants a shot at Butcher, and the Universal Championship! Maura Downs: Remember, Davlin holds two victories over Butcher after that Best of Three Series, so he must believe he has a good chance of taking the title! Louis Carvanelie: But he has to get through Layton here tonight! Davlin drops an elbow across the throat and drags Layton to his feet, then hits a back body drop on him before dropping another elbow. Layton is left reeling from the initial attack and slowly gets to his feet, and Davlin runs him at the ropes, clothslining him over the top rope to the floor!! Layton hits the floor and rolls back before getting to his feet, as Davlin flies at him with a suicide dive!! Davlin connects with the suicide dive, knocking Layton back down!! Davlin holds his shoulder, as it must have hurt him too, and he drags Layton off the floor, and smashes his head on the apron, before rolling him back in the ring. He jumps on the top rope... AND MISSES AN AMAZING TOP ROPE CORKSCREW PLANCHA!! Layton Matthews moved out of the way! Maura Downs: Wow, that was unique offence by Davlin McCaine there, but Layton Matthews avoided the impact, and now Davlin is left clutching his ribs in pain! Louis Carvanelie: That's what happens when you take high risk, sometimes you crash and you burn! Maura Downs: And now Layton Matthews is going on the offence. A club to the back of Davlin sending him back to the mat. Layton drags Davlin up to his feet, and puts Davlin into a standing crossface, arm bar submission move. Davlin tries to fight out of it, but Layton puts more pressure on. With Davlins free arm, he elbows Layton in the ribs and Layton is forced to release the hold and Davlin looks to go to the ropes, but Layton drags him back and holds both his arms, placing his foot in between Davlins shoulderblades, into a surfboard stretch. The ref asks Davlin if he wants to quit, and Davlin says no. He keeps checking on Davlin as the fans stomp their feet on the mat, trying to get Davlin to get out of the move, which eventually he starts doing, as he gets to his feet and twists round, pulling Layton into a cross armed belly to belly suplex!! Davlin goes over to Layton and lifts him up looking for the German Suplex, but Layton reverses, and goes round the back, but instead of hitting a german suplex of his own, he places Davlin in the abdominal stretch. The ref checks on Davlin and Layton reaches out and grabs the ropes! The ref comes back up and Layton takes his hand off the ropes innocently. The ref checks on Davlin again and again Layton reaches out and grabs the rope, but this time the ref sees it, and he kicks Laytons hand away from the ropes and Davlin hits a hip toss on Layton and as Layton gets to his feet, Davlin hits a double leg takedown on Layton before throwing punches at him. Davlin jumps up off Layton and gestures for him to get to his feet, and kicks him in the gut, setting him up for the Pump Handle Slam. He gets him on his shoulders, but Layton struggles off them, and then looks for The Showcase Finale, but Davlin blocks, and hits a Northern Lights Suplex on Layton Matthews!! Maura Downs: This match is firing up Louis, and a beautiful Northern Lights Suplex by Davlin. Louis Carvanelie: And look at this, Davlin is locking in the figure four leg lock!!\par Maura Downs: And now he's just putting the pressure on Laytons legs... Layton Matthews is screaming in pain, trying desperately to get to the ropes, but he is in the centre of the ring and they are too far. Davlin puts more pressure on and Layton tries to turn over to reverse the pressure. Davlin responds by putting more pressure on but as he releases a little to prepare for more pressure, Layton finally turns him over and Davlin is the one feeling the pain now, as he is forced to release the hold. Davlin pulls himself up by the ropes, as does Layton and Davlin runs towards Layton, who bends down before lifting Davlin over the top rope, but Davlin lands on the apron. Layton turns, and Davlin punches him in the gut. before grabbing a hold of him, and lifting him up in a stalling vertical suplex, BEFORE DROPPING HIM TO THE FLOOR!!! LAYTON HITS THE FLOOR AND JUST CRUMPLES OVER!! Maura Downs: Wow, did you see that?? What a unique offence by Davlin there and Layton has to be out of it. Louis Carvanelie: And Davlin is smart, quickly going jumping down and rolling Layton into the ring for the cover. Maura Downs: The ref is counting....1......2.....NO! How did Layton kick out of that?? Davlin looks mildly shocked, as he lifts Layton back to his feet, but Layton rakes the eyes, and pushes Davlin away from him. Davlin runs foward for a clothsline but Layton ducks it, and hits a neckbreaker on Davlin. Davlin goes down and Layton floats over for the cover....1.......2......(Kick Out) Davlin gets to his feet and Layton whips him hard into the turnbuckle. Davlin hits his back and slams head first into the mat as Layton slides out of the ring and grabs a hold of Davlins legs, a sick smile forming on his face. Davlin turns though, and kicks Layton away before he can do any damage. Layton falls back into the crowd barrier as Davlin slides out of the ring. He rams Layton into the crowd barrier then whips him into the ring, before Layton moves out from the ring, into a one arm flapjack, but he lands face first on the crowd barrier!! Maura Downs: The battle taken to the outside now. Louis Carvanelie: And this is where the two men take apart eachother! Maura Downs: Now Davlin is going to crush Laytons head against the ring post, BUT LAYTON REVERSES THE IRISH WHIP, AND DAVLINS HEAD SMACKS STRAIGHT INTO THE RING POST!!! And Layton is now rolling Davlin into the ring, before following him in. Layton grabs a hold of Davlin and hits a snap suplex before dragging him up, looking for another, but Davlin blocks, and instead lifts Layton up, and drops him with a brainbuster!! He then locks in the crossface chickenwing and Layton is shouting in pain. He pulls himself foward but Davlin locks in the hold even more. Again, Layton pulls himself foward, and just as he is about to reach the ropes, Davlin releases the hold and drags him into the centre of the ring, but before he can lock in the hold again, Layton pulls him into a small package. 1.....2.....(Davlin kicks out) Davlin gets to his feet and kicks Layton in the stomach, looking for the Talent Drop, but Layton counters and kicks Davlin in the stomach, before pulling him into a front headlock, then twisting around and dropping him on his head with a bulldog, neckbreaker variation move. Layton then places Davlin in a boston crab. Davlin crawls his way to the ropes and grabs a hold of the bottom ropes, forcing Layton to release the hold. Layton pulls him back though and puts more pressure on the hold, but somehow, Davlin reaches around and grabs Laytons ankle, and sweeps him to the mat, getting to his feet and locking in an ankle lock!! Layton is screaming in pain now, and tries to crawl to the ropes, but Davlin pulls him back, and Layton turns and tries to kick Davlin off of him, but Davlin keeps a hold of the ankle and locks it in more. Layton looks to reach for the ropes, but reaches around like Davlin did earlier, and pulls Davlin down into a crossface, but Davlin is quick to reach the ropes. Maura Downs: Both men putting on a technical display here! Louis Carvanelie: A fantastic match between these two men. Maura Downs: But who will come out on top? Davlin and Layton get to their feet, both aching and in pain as Davlin blocks a right hand, and throws Layton on his back, before locking in a Sharpshooter!! Davlin has the hold locked in and Layton can't do anything about it. He crawls to the ropes, but Davlin pulls him back. He crawls to the ropes again, but again Davlin pulls him back. Finally, he reaches the ropes, and wraps his arms around them, and Davlin is forced to break up the hold. The fans boo at this and Davlin goes back to Layton, who is crawling into the corner. He reaches down to lift him up, but Layton grabs a hold of the ropes on either side and swings up to kick Davlin in the face, before climbing to his feet, and throwing Davlin onto his shoulders, and drops him with an electric chair drop!! Davlin hits the mat, but before he can do anything, he finds himself this time in the Sharpshooter, and Layton is putting all his weight into it. Maura Downs: Both men must be running on sheer adrenaline here, as they are literally ripping eachother apart. Louis Carvanelie: All these submission holds put a lot of stress on the muscles, and if they continue, someone might rip a muscle. Maura Downs: You could be right there, and Davlin is doing his best to fight off this hold, but Layton isn't allowing him to get to the ropes. Louis Carvanelie: He is getting there though. Slowly but surely. Maura Downs: But every second he's in the hold, he is getting increasingly weaker.\par Louis Carvanelie: True, but he's reached the ropes, and Layton has to release the hold, and you see that. That's smart. Once you are told to release the hold, you put on one final burst of pressure, THEN release it. It takes more out of your opponent. Maura Downs: And now Davlin is worse for wear and Layton should be looking to take advantage. Layton picks him up and drops him with a gut buster, then keeps a hold of him, AND THROWS HIM INTO THE TURNBUCKLE WITH A FALLAWAY SLAM!! Davlins body hits the turnbuckle and he collapses onto the mat. Slowly, he pushes himself up using the ropes. Layton runs foward, crushing Davlin into the turnbuckle with several shoulder thrusts, before stepping back and snapping Davlins head back with a devastating clothsline. Layton pulls him out of the corner and locks in a headlock, before taking him down with the headlock takedown, and then shouting obscenities at Davlin, yelling in his face. He pulls Davlin up and Davlin hits a couple of punches to Layton before Layton Matthews drives a knee into Davlins ribs and hits a DDT! Layton goes for the cover.......1.......2........(Kick out) Davlin gets to his feet and walks into a sidewalk slam, as Layton hooks the leg. 1.....2.....(Kick out again) Layton pulls Davlin to his feet and throws a right, but Davlin blocks, and hits a right of his own, whipping Layton into the ropes and then throwing him over his shoulders into a back body drop. Layton hits the mat hard but gets to his feet despite the pain, and Davlin McCaine looks to hook the Talent Drop, but Layton kicks him in the gut, and hits a swinging neckbreaker!! Davlin goes down and Layton crawls across for the cover.....1.....2.....(Kick out) Maura Downs: This match has gone back and forth now, and both men giving everything they have! Louis Carvanelie: They want the shot at the Universal Championship, and they hate eachother too, all the ingrediants for a great match! Maura Downs: And Layton with the knee to the abs there and pulls Davlin into the powerbomb position! Layton Matthews lifts Davlin McCaine up, but Davlin reverses into the Facebuster X-Factor like move, and Layton hits his face on the mat, as Davlin now makes the cover......1.......2......(Kick out by Layton) Davlin gets to his feet and climbs the turnbuckle, sitting on the top rope. Layton gets to his feet, but is brought straight back down with a missile dropkick! Layton gets to his feet again, and Davlin hits a right, before whipping him into the ropes and Davlin bends down ready but Layton kicks him in the face sending Davlin up, and he swings with a right hand, but Layton dodges it, and brings Davlin into a full nelson slam! He hooks the leg.....1.....2.....(Davlin kicks out) Layton begins stomping down on Davlin, and then drops the leg. Davlin gets his feet by the turnbuckle, and Layton looks for a spear, but Davlin moves out of the way, and Layton spears the ring post, before falling to the outside!! Davlin steps between the ropes and onto the apron, before hitting a double axe handle on Layton. He brings him to his feet and whips him into the ring steps, but Layton reverses and Davlin crashes legs first into the steps, flipping right over onto his back and neck!! Maura Downs: Look at the force of that irish whip and Davlin just landed on his back and neck! Louis Carvanelie: And now Layton is going to pick him apart. Maura Downs: Davlin is hurting now, and look at Layton, putting the boots to Davlin. He isn't going to let up, he wants to hurt Davlin bad! Louis Carvanelie: Layton hanging Davlin on the apron then and throwing him on his shoulders. He runs Davlin into the ring post and Davlin falls to the floor, busted open. Layton rolls Davlin into the ring and follows him in, before putting the boots to Davlin again, kicking him vicously in the corner before dragging him to his feet, and chopping him across the chest. Davlin holds his chest in pain, before taking another chop, as Layton rears back for another, but this time Davlin moves and throws Layton into the corner, throwing rights, lefts, chops, hitting Layton everywhere he can before stomping him down into the corner. Layton tries to get to his feet but Davlin chokes him with his foot, before dragging him up and whipping him into the opposite turnbuckle. He runs at him but just gets a boot to his face as Layton comes out from the corner and clothslines Davlin down from behind. Layton drags Davlin from the mat and places him on the top turnbuckle, before climbing up himself. Davlin is fighting him off with right hands to the face and then stands on the top turnbuckle and dives off, hitting a sunset flip/powerbomb on Layton!! He has the cover....1......2......(The ref spots the foot on the ropes) Davlin pushes the foot of the ropes and hooks the leg....1.......2.......(This time Layton kicks out) Maura Downs: Good strategy, making Layton excert energy by kicking out of pinning attempts. Louis Carvanelie: Yeah, there's that, and the fact that Davlin might win with one of those pinning attempts. Maura Downs: Good point. Davlin picks Layton off the mat, and bodyslams him down, before dragging him to the corner. He picks him up and puts him in the tree of woe position, before kicking Laytons chest. He lifts Layton up so that he is sitting on the top turnbuckle facing the crowd, then violently brings his head down so it crashes against the turnbuckle pads, and then drags it back to the previous position and climbing up onto the top rope! Layton swings back with an elbow, but Davlin dodges it, and then dodges another elbow, but the last one connects, and another elbow to the face sends Davlin to the mat as Layton regains his composure, before hitting a split-legged moonsault on Davlin!! He hooks the leg....1.....2.....(Kick Out) Maura Downs: Both men have shown remarkable athletiscism in this match, and are giving everything they have! Louis Carvanelie: Like I said Maura, they hate eachother and both want a shot at the Universal Championship! Maura Downs: That's right and we are getting a fantastic match because of it. Layton pulls Davlin to his feet and lifts him up for a powerbomb, before dropping him off the top rope, springing him up and over for the powerbomb, and then throwing Davlins legs off of him, he drags Davlin to his feet, and has him in rear grapple, then locks in the Scales of St Layton!! Maura Downs: Layton has the Scales locked in, and this one could be over!! Louis Carvanelie: Davlin is trying to fight it, but Layton has it locked in tight. Davlin is flaying about, trying to get out of the hold, but as the hold is locked in longer, Davlin begins to fade. The ref checks on him but Davlins eyes suddenly open, as the fans will him to get out of the hold, starting an amazing Davlin chant. Davlin then counters with a jawbreaker, and both men are down. Davlin crawls over for the cover, but Layton kicks out. Davlin and Layton get to their feet and engage in a fist war, as Layton looks for The Showcase Finale, but Davlin blocks and pushes Layton into the ropes, hitting a shoulder block as he comes back. Layton hits the mat and gets back to his feet into an arm drag and he gets thrown back onto his feet and runs straight into another arm drag. Layton ducks a right hand, then takes Davlin down by the throat, slamming his head against the mat several times before releasing his grip. Davlin gets to his feet and ducks a right, before bringing Layton into a backslide, and the ref goes down, 1.....2.....(Layton kicks out) Both men get to their feet again and Davlin hits Layton with a right hand, and Layton stumbles back into the ropes and comes back with a right of his own and Davlin hits the ropes and comes back with a kick to the gut, before hooking the arms and hitting a double underhook powerbomb on Layton Matthews. Davlin makes the cover.....1......2.....(Another kick-out) The match cuts to backstage, where we can see the Universal Champion The Butcher, watching on a monitor. Maura Downs: As you can see, that's Butcher, keeping a close eye on things here, as he'll be facing one of these two soon enough. Louis Carvanelie: He's scouting his opponents, preparing for whoever he'll have to face. Maura Downs: This match is going back and forth here, and what an exciting display we are seeing.\par Louis Carvanelie: The powerbomb must have taken a lot out of Layton Matthews and now Davlin is taking advantage! Maura Downs: Davlin going for some high risk again.... BUT LAYTON GETS HIS KNEES UP FOR THE FROG SPLASH!! Davlin keels over and Layton turns for the cover, hooking the leg.....1.......2......(NO! Davlin kicked out) Layton looks shocked, as he wonders what it will take to put him away. He drags Davlin up and throws him into the corner, before clothslining him back into the corner. Then he places him on the top turnbuckle again. He climbs up with him and then Davlin tries fighting back, and they are exchanging lefts and rights up on the turnbuckle. Davlin kicks Layton off the top and Layton crashes to the mat. Davlin steps up on the turnbuckle as Layton slowly gets to his feet, and Davlin looks for the missile dropkick, BUT LAYTON PULLS THE REFEREE IN THE WAY!!! Davlin knocks the referee down and while he is distracted, Layton gets to his feet, and Davlin turns... STRAIGHT INTO THE SHOWCASE FINALE!!! Layton hooks the leg, but due to his own doing, the referee is down. Frustrated and angry he slides under the bottom rope and throws the time keeper off his chair, and folds it up and slides it into the ring. He slides in after it and grabs it, as Davlin makes an attempt to get to his feet. CRACK!! The chair is dented over Davlins head, and blood pours even more freely from the wound in his head. The ref is stirring as Layton hooks the leg..... The ref crawls over...... 1.......... 2.......... 3....NO!!! DAVLIN GOT A SHOULDER UP!!! Maura Downs: HOW THE HELL DID DAVLIN MCCAINE KICK OUT OF THAT!! THE SHOWCASE FINALE!! THE CHAIRSHOT AND STILL, DAVLIN IS REFUSING TO QUIT!! AND LISTEN TO THIS CROWD, THEY ARE LOVING IT!!! Louis Carvanelie: But Layton is now pissed as hell. He's putting the boots to Davlin here, and Davlin is helpless.. Layton drags Davlin to his feet, but Davlin, out of nowhere, HITS THE TALENT DROP!!! He falls down for the cover and drapes an arm over Layton....1.........2........ 3....NO!!! THIS TIME LAYTON GOT THE SHOULDER UP!!! Maura Downs: WHAT A MATCH!! FIRST DAVLIN KICKS OUT OF THE SHOWCASE FINALE, NOW LAYTON KICKS OUT OF THE TALENT DROP!! Louis Carvanelie: How bad do Layton and Davlin want this title shot? How far are they willing to go!!? The ref begins the ten count and at 9, both men make their way to their feet. Layton is propped up against the corner, and Davlin is leaning on the opposite corner. Davlin is bleeding heavily but the ref is attending to Layton, as Davlin rushes fowards to splash Layton, BUT AGAIN LAYTON DRAGS THE REF IN THE WAY!! Davlin hits the ref who gets squashed against the corner. Layton grabs a hold of Davlin and whips him into the corner, but Davlin reverses and whips Layton into the referee instead. The ref collapses down and Layton pushes himself up from the ropes and he staggers across to the middle of the ropes... and Davlin looks for the spear, but Layton moves and Davlin goes through the middle ropes and to the floor on the outside. Layton grabs a hold of the chair and slides out of the ring, as Davlin pulls himself up using the ring barrier. CRACK!! A vicous chair shot rings throughout the arena and Davlin is brought to his knees, but before even Davlin can fall to the mat, another shot echoes around and Davlin is slowly getting covered in blood. He rolls Davlin into the ring and props him up, but Davlin somehow is trying to mount an offence, throwing elbows at Layton, but Layton knees him in the gut, then hits the Showcase Finale!! The ref is out of it, but just has enough wits about him to make the count.....1......2......3!!! Maura Downs: Layton Matthews is the number one contender for the Universal Championship, and Davlin gave it everything he had, but the chairshots, and two Showcase Finales proved just too much. Louis Carvanelie: You might not like Laytons tactics, but he got the job done, and now what's this!? Maura Downs: Its Bob Taylor making his way down to the ring with a microphone in his hand to congratulate one of his understudies. Taylor has to be happy about this, his boy as the number one contender to the Universal Title. Almost down to the ring Taylor is stopped short as The Bitch is Back begins to play...
Phils face appears over the Jumbotron as he sits at his desk smoking a cigar. Mini-Phil sits in the corner polishing the now vacant TV title. Phil: Congratulations Mr. Taylor, you got Mr. Matthews a title shot...but unfortunately I promised myself Id fire three people just as soon as I took over this federation. So Im afraid that Im going to have to... Taylor raises his mic to his mouth and cuts Phil short. Taylor: Oh no you dont...Ive worked too hard to get this man to where he deserves to be. I wont let you fire him! Im the head booker here...I have my own clout. Looking at Taylor as if he had sprouted a second head Phil replies. Phil: Why Mr. Taylor...who ever said I was going to fire Mr. Mathews?
