The EWA Spoiler - Edition #37
Monday, April 23rd, 2000.

Why does it seem that the foundations of the Extreme Wrestling Association are always rocking, and there never seems to be a dull moment in anything we ever do? Check out our competition or lack there of. That's all I've got to say about that.

The talk of the wrestling world this week was that stint the MCW pulled HA, yeah right! Just like always, everyone is focused on the EWA, and especially the wrestlers that revolve around the EWA World Heavyweight Title Belt which is currently vacated. One has to question Tom Stone's motives for vacating the gold on a double count-out, but hell, doubting Stone is something that you just don't do. In the long run, I think this is a good choice. I look at it as Tom Stone's way of slapping the wrestlers in the face and telling them to wake up! I think the level of competition is extremely high in the EWA right now, and to tell you the truth, I think that Covington/Hustler scuffle over the belt was the most competitive feud when it comes to pure wrestling that the EWA has been exposed to in a long while! But I guess with all the talent here in the EWA, Stone is looking to warn his men that they're going to have to step it up a notch! It's Stone's version of tough love, and you "champions" better get use to it or Stone may end up knocking on your door, dress up like a repo-man, demanding his gold back.

Just how much hatred is there between Chandler and Nick Diamante? A lot more than you think! Many internet reports are insisting that Chandler and Diamante are actually good friends working together to steal the spotlight and help each other's careers at the same time. As an EWA insider, I can give you my word that these men totally despise each other! There's real heat here, and it has been boiling for a very long time! Sure, when it comes down to it, these guys simply hate each other because of the creative differences they both have. But when you keep hatred simmering, it's eventually going to boil and explode in your face! Why else would Nick Diamante drop his beloved "Diamond Stud" moniker? He claims "it was a stupid gimmick" I find that really hard to believe because he derived the actual character around the definition of his family's own last name! And let's not forget that Chandler actually did a favor for Tom Stone and returned to the EWA. Chandler hates Tom Stone! I'm being told that both men are searching for a way to air their obvious hatred for each other, and they're looking for something a little more powerful than just a simple interview! I'm telling you people, keep your eyes open whenever Chandler and Diamante are in the same building, because I've got a feeling we haven't seen anything yet!

With Vince Di Nardo back in the EWA as acting Commissioner, will he let us down just as many of the past EWA Commissioners have? I doubt it. "Top Dollar" has already announced plans for the EWA World Tag Team Title tournament, which I'm being told is in it's final stages of planning, and should be ready to go very soon. It's no surprise that the EWA Tag Team picture has been the weakest aspect of this great organization, but Vinny D seems intent on turning that around. Tomorrow night on Heat, The Golden Boy of the EWA is scheduled to make an appearance and a special announcement concerning the Tag tournament, and I'm hearing that it won't disappoint! Get ready for some great tag team wrestling coming up soon!

Speaking of "weak" title divisions in the EWA, I'm told that Tom Stone isn't happy that hardcore wrestling seems to have died out in the EWA as The Hustler moved on and left that division. "The Franchise" Chris Jericho is the EWA Extreme Champion, and let's face it besides that fruit-salad of a Cage Match against Y2C, Jericho can't really be remembered as a great "fighting" Extreme Champion. Look for Stone to address this issue soon possibly with the premature return of The Wildman coming up soon? Let's keep our fingers crossed and our tables stacked!

Ok, for the past week, I've done some investigative work on this "Some Things Are Better Left ALONE!" situation, and all I can bring you today is rumors and more rumors! Let's look at the actual saying, shall we? "Left ALONE!" Undisturbed. Untouched. Don't wake the sleeping giant! Is this some typical type-up, or will we actually be shocked by the outcome? I have no damn clue and I hope something happens soon!

Friday, June 16th, 2000 The Cornerstone Invitational Serial Thrylla vs. "The Cornerstone" Dino Delsante. Tuesday, April 25th, 2000 Tuesday Night Heat Serial Thrylla vs. "The Cornerstone" Dino Delsante. Coincidence? Not really. I think this is the EWA's way of lending a helping hand to Mr. Delsante and his pay-per-view efforts. If the fans can get a little piece this Tuesday of what they'll see at The Cornerstone Invitational, buy-rates will be sure to rise! Here's another interesting thought. Dino Delsante is in this big EWA Heavyweight Title tournament, right? What would happen if he walked out champ, and went on to face Serial Thrylla at the Invitational? Sure, Dino Delsante is promoting this event as a simple "All Star" card for the sake of putting on some great matches between people who don't always get to wrestle each other. But what better way to spice things up than to throw a title shot in the mix, huh? Dino still has only a 1 in 6 chance of becoming champion, so maybe I'm jumping the gun a bit.

As usual, look for Tuesday Night Heat to be simply electrifying this week! Why is it that I find I'm saying that pretty damn often? Maybe because here in the EWA, we deliver the goods that other organizations only dream of!
