When you have a pair and they do not show interest in each other, you can add a 2nd male,
not a female, the female parakeets are to aggressive!
Wild budgies nest in eucalyptus... In captivity budgies do not use nesting material in the nest box.
Egg laying starts about 8 days after mating. Maximum eggs is 9 - leave 4 or 5 eggs so the parents are not overworked.
Eggs hatch in approx. 18 days, after the first egg, they hatch about 2 days apart.
