"Here I lie, looking like I'm done for, but I'm not. Things are not as
they seem at first glance. I am evolving. I'm pinned by the force of the
swords along my spine, in alignment with earthly and divine forces.
"Some people see me as having made a willful sacrifice. I think that by
facing my weaknesses and not deluding myself, I am becoming a more genuine
and insightful person.
"I am giving up old ideas and conditioning that have limited my progress.
New endeavors and new opportunities for relationships in my life lie
ahead. But right now I just need to lie here and marshal my energy. Yes,
it's tempting to never move again. However, I will arise, eventually,
`take up my swords,' and go forward with new resolve.
