| If I could see the demons sleep I'd give them all my soul to keep All the angels would then cry out Why oh why did his will give out Only he could save us all From the snakes that now have to crawl The dark prince would then rise from below And the beasts would then run to and fro All of man would scream in pain And all their blood would be the rain Every army across the land Would swear loyalty to his dark hand Saint Michael would come down with his army of good But they would lose as they not should All of this just for me For the one thing I need to see But by the Devil I had been deceived For demons do not sleep as I had believed All of this suffering had been for not None of this would be forgot The Saint named Michael still he fought The power of his sword would not be shot He prayed for help with his last breath And now I have seen an angel's death The human race had seen their error The dark lord had fed off their terror The forces of good finally fell And our world became the new Hell Then suddenly everything began to fade After the new demon world had just been made I awoke from the dream my mind had created It had been a nightmare and now I was jaded |
