Shortly after this time I started working, and saving up for a Cougar. Well about 2 months had gone by and I didn't think I was ever going to have enough for a car and my dad decided that he would match every dollar I had made to help me out. That resparked my interest in working. One day I was sitting in math and I was talking to a kid who said that he wanted to get an IROC Camaro. Now I had always thought they were cool cars, but I figured the price was way to out of my range. I asked him why he wanted one and he said that you only live once and it would be cool to have a Camaro in high school. I gave it some thought and I decided that he was right. I was then determined to get a Camaro, I didn't matter what my parents or friends or anyone said, when I set my mind no one is going to change. Finally, after about 3 to 4 months of work I had about $1250 saved up. And then the day came that I saw a a Camaro run in the newspaper for $2200. Now, I should mention that I knew I wanted a Camaro, but that was all I knew I didnt really know anything about cars, as far as the engine went that is.
I told my dad about it and he said we should go take a look at it. Now we went and looked at it and he said the car was in good shape and was a good deal, and also it was a V6 something that he wanted me to get for my first car, and as I said before I didn't know anything about engines. So, we took it for a test drive, and well the rest was history.
