About BSSO

Biomedical Sciences Student Organization (BSSO) is a research organization representing students at Eastern Virginia Medical School enrolled in the Biomedical Sciences Masters or PhD program.  

This organization is designed to meet the academic , professional and social needs of the biomedical research student body and maintain a stable liaison between the students and faculty.

Activities include monthly meetings with invited professional speakers, the annual graduate student conference, Research Day assistance and participation, fundrasier events and a number of community service activities (such as food drives and the Susan B. Komen Race for the Cure).
