NOTE:

WHY HAS THIS RECORDING NOT BEEN BANNED YET?!  Although this

recording claims to be complete, it is not.  I’m a firm believer in “to

each his own taste”, but  this recording is the WORST ever done. Not

only of EVITA – of any cast album or soundtrack.   PERIOD.  If there is a

recording that is worse than this one, thank God I’ve never heard it!  

The poor production value and ridiculously incompetent orchestra

make me believe this may be a bootlegged recording.  It sounds to me as

if the orchestra was a junior high school beginners band whose director

said,  “OK, boys and girls, today we are going to record a cast album!” 

The camp value may be the only reason to buy this recording –  but if you

want camp, you can find it much cheaper than the rate this double set

goes for!
