soldiers from south Lebanon, young people from Palestinian refugee camps
in Lebanon contacted their friends and relatives in Israel and occupied
Palestine by email to arrange meetings at Dhaira, a small border village.
Young and old, they made their way to the fence up a steep slope in the
hot sun. Border guards made no attempt to stop the meetings. There
was no Lebanese security presence at the village
