Wladyslaw Szpilman, a brilliant pianist who's a Polish Jew, witnesses the restrictions Nazis place on Jews in the Polish capital, from restricted access to the building of the Warsaw ghetto. As his family is rounded up to be shipped off to the Nazi labor camps, he escapes deportation. He uses his talents as a musician as he struggles to survive in Warsaw. This film was rather mediocre, for it was simply way too long. On a side note, I noticed that the movie wasn't subtitled which is really strange considering it set in Warsaw.
