Sixteen-year-old Oscar Grubman is sensitive and compassionate, speaks French fluently and can quote Voltaire; females gravitate toward him. In fact, Oscar could probably have any woman he wants . . . but he's fallen in love with his stepmother. First I would like to say that this film has similar characteristics to the book The Catcher In The Rye.. Next, I will say that the father's opening speech, which is about Thanksgiving, is brilliant. In fact, it's hilarious. This movie should not be missed.
