Tristan has promised Victoria that he'll retrieve a fallen star to secure her love. Along the way, he battles a pirate named Captain Shakespeare, an evil witch, a prince and other assorted ghosts and goblins. This movie featured some very good acting, writing and directing. It also was quite original and not just because that it was a fairy tale for adults. Another thing I liked about the film was that the used practical special effects, whenever possible. I prefer practical special effects over CGI, for they can actually look more realistic if they're done well. Overall, this is a fun movie. On a side note, Stardust works better as a film than it does as a book. This is because its visuals work, while the book's descriptions don't.
