Professor Milton Fine unleashes a deadly virus, which will kill millions of people, and refuses to give Clark the vaccine unless he agrees to release General Zod. Clark turns to Lionel, who once again channels Jor-El. Meanwhile, Lex is stunned by his newfound powers and shares the discovery with Lana, who decides to stand by her new man, unaware of the shocking turn Lex's life is about to take due to Professor Fine's evil machinations. This was a great episode. Clark and Lex finally have become enemies although I do believe they said in the episode that Lex died. However, Lex seams too important to the mythology to be killed off so easily and quickly. Chloe did kiss Clark in this episode, so perhaps if she survives, the two will hook up since the Clark-Lana relationship is over. Hopefully she will survive. She is an important character. Once again, it was great to see Brainiac return. James Marsters really has the role down solid and hopefully, he will be in next year's credits now that John Schneider will be moving on.
