The secret of Veritas leads Lex in a dangerous direction that will put him and Clark in each others' crosshairs. Despite some good acting, this episode featured bad writing and directing. Now I do suppose this was because it's the first episode that aired after the Writers' Strike and because of this reason, it could have come out worse. Getting back to the acting, I did like the face-off between Lex and Clark at the mansion. Even so, the episode didn't make much sense. To make it worse, part of it took place in Lex's head which quite strange. Finally, this is John Glover's last appearance as Lionel and it's unfortunate that they didn't write a better episode for him to die in.
