Sixteen-year-old Steve lives in fear of his stepfather, an abusive alcoholic. Steve's mother, unable to leave her husband in spite of the violence, sends Steve away, and he finally winds up in a shelter for teenage runaways. Encouraged by his counselor, Tony, Steve tries to turn his life around, but as he soon discovers, finding happiness and stability when you're all alone isn't easy. There is nothing redeeming about this film.
