Mark Hunter is a quiet high school student whose creates an alter ego named "Hard Harry" when a book falls into the his hands. He then cries injustice and spins punk and rap records from his basement at night for a growing fan base who finds his radio frequency. When the ultra-conservative school administration starts swinging after a student's suicide, the administration immediately sets out to find the school's new cult hero. Because of this, "Hard Harry" may have to reveal his true identity, but along the way, he gets the girl, fellow student Nora Diniro. This is a interesting film that takes a look at school politics and free speech among the youth. Another movie which is very similar, is Kids In America, for it addresses the same issues.
