When wealthy fifteen-year-old Philly Filmore develops a crush on his French housemaid, Nicole, the household's opportunistic chauffeur spies a chance to tap into the boy's trust fund. But when she's asked to fake her own death as part of the driver's despicable plan, Nicole never counts on falling in love with Philly, who's half her age. This is a sensually amusing comedy, which I originally thought would be your typical younger man-older woman. This isn't the case, for there's an element of mystery to it which added a lot to the movie. Unfortunately, there's a shot that ruins it. Anyway, there is a sweetness between the two lead characters, which is nice. Overall, this way a fun little coming-of-age film with a few twists. There are three side notes to this movie. The first is that the actor playing Philly is actually underage; he's about fifteen. The second is that the author of the book that this film is based on makes a cameo appearance. Finally, the third is that there was some controversy to the movie. To read about it, click below:
