Rich Cuban landowner Luis sends away - c. o. d. - for a plain-Jane bride from the United States named Julia Russell. But when she arrives and turns out to be stunningly beautiful, Vargas is putty in her hands. Not a good thing, since Julia turns out to be a con artist of the first order who leaves her new husband holding the bag. This film wasn't bad for the first forty-five minutes. After that, it took a downfall and never got better. Therefore, I ended up fast-forwarding through the rest of the movie. The film was released in two versions - one steamier than the other. One was an "R" rated version, the other, which I saw, was an "unrated" version that would have been rated "NC17." The "NC17" rating has been nicknamed the "Kiss-Of-Death" rating as there's almost no profit from it.
