MISCHIEF
Mischief

In 1956, a shy teenager named Jonathan goes from gawky to cocky when he starts hanging out with cool new neighbor Gene whose "guidance" includes taking his protege on escapades with fast cars and fast women as well as maintaining his own love-live with his girlfriend Bunny. Meanwhile, Jonathan lusts after the sexy Marilyn. His main objective is to win her, in spite of his shyness. Gene also has to defend himself against Kenny, the class bully, while trying to work out a borderline relationship with his widowed father, who has zero tolerance for his often wild escapades. As Jonathan and Gene handle life's challenges, the 1950s emerges as a potent presence on screen in the form of background setting, including movies and music, as well as dress and customs that were popular in that distinctive era. This was a decent, light-hearted film that features music by Elvis Presley and Buddy Holly.
