"No Jews, dogs or coloreds," reads the sign outside a public swimming pool in 1954 Baltimore. High school freshman Ben Kurtzman and friends find themselves confronted with anti-Semitism, racism and coming-of-age in a fast-changing world. This movie crosses comedy and drama very well. The funniest part of the movie is when one of them dresses up as Adolf Hitler for a Halloween party, much to the dismay of everyone. It reminds me of the scandal with Prince Harry on Halloween.
