Follow the thousand days of John F. Kennedy's presidency in this 1983 Golden Globe Award-winning miniseries that covers the Bay of Pigs aborted overthrow of the Cuban government, the escalating crisis in Vietnam, power plays with J. Edgar Hoover and other highly charged events. The TV show also delves into the conflicts and tender moments in his marriage to Jacqueline Kennedy and the tragedy of his assassination. This is a very good reinactment of Jack Kennedy's reign. It features strong preformances by the cast, most notably Martin Sheen as Jack Kennedy and John Shea as Bobby Kennedy. What was rather interesting is that they took the same approach as in the film Titanic - the began with the end - so the miniseries was told completly in flashback. The writers even quoted from the President's speeches. Overall, this is one miniseries that should not be missed.
