In 17th century Salem, Massachusetts, the townsfolk go into a dither upon learning that the Sanderson sisters are witches. Fearing their paganism, Salem hangs the trio after they refuse to reveal what happened to Thackery Binx, a local boy, who was transformed into a black cat. The witches vows to return and get revenge. Three centuries later their back when a teenager, in an attempt to impress a classmate, ignores local taboos and lights the Black Flame Candle. The result: releasing the Sanderson sisters and unleashing the havoc that's been brewing since 1693! I particually liked the cat Thackaery Binx. He has to wait around for years for a virgin to light a candle - 300 years to be exact. Great film to watch on Halloween.
