Heralded as the "worst director of all time," Ed Wood certainly made the movies to prove it. He refused to let unfinished scenes, washed-up actors or production costs get in the way of making his films. Ed Wood was the movie that Tim Burton made while the he and Danny Elfman were taking a break from each other. Filmed in black and white, the movie became a financial disaster, despite it getting good reviews. Finally, despite not particularly liking Johnny Deep, I actually think this is one of his better roles.
