This drama, set in Appalachia, is about Jennie Colton, an underage girl railroaded being forced to marry Jake Bolby, who's nearly three decades her senior. But Jennie's young beau, Freddie Nulty - in league with an ostracized dwarf - works to save her from a grim life. The movie was proscribed in numerous places due to its topic and child nudity, which is all the reviews are talking about, so the skinny-dipping scene's very infamous. There were no redeeming qualities about this shitty film whatsoever. It was badly acted, written and directed. On a side note, since the movie was made outside the Hays Production Code, it was able to show the skinny-dipping scene since the Code didn't allow nudity.
