Trouble returns to Gotham as the Batman battles three new villains plotting to take over the city. They are the Penguin, the Catwoman and Max Shreck. This film is more "fantasy" - so to speak - then the New Series. This is also the last gothic Batman film until the New Series. It's also the last one to be directed by Tim Burton and composed by Danny Elfman. Good film, but skip its two sequels. That's when Batman got ruined. Finally, Tim Burton finds a nice balance between the subtle humor of Bruce Wayne and the dark and brooding of the Batman, which the New Series lacks.
