Aaron Ashmore may have looked familiar to Smallville fans before taking the role of Jimmy Olsen, but he had never been on the show before. The reason for this is that his twin brother Shawn did appear in a couple of episodes as Eric Summers. Now, six years later, Aaron has taken on the role of Jimmy. Though Jimmy is now a "couple" with Chloe, Aaron has had a history of dating young snarky blondes before. In the first season of Veronica Mars, Aaron Ashmore had a recurring role as Troy Vandegraff.
