In 1965, a kaiju known as Baragon was created for the film FRANKENSTIEN CONQUERS THE WORLD (1965), AKA FRANKENSTIEN VS. BARAGON (1965).
Baragon has become a very popular character from Toho, loved by young and old fans alike. Baragons design was one of the most effective of kaiju designs for the 60s.

The Baragon suit had many unique features not seen in other suits. Its glowing nasal horn, floppy ears, grinning expression, and a ridged back were some of the many features. The suit was very flexible, making it easier for Haruo Nakajima. The suit allowed him to do both quadruped and two-legged stances. The suit also did a fantastic job of concealing the actor within, much better than other suits of its time. After FRANKENSTIEN CONQUERS THE WORLD (1965), the suit was lent over to Tsuburaya productions for their famous TV show, ULTRAMAN (1966). Tsuburaya didnt have a large enough budget to make their own kaiju suits for some episodes. For those few episodes, they took the Baragon suit and painted it, decorated it with props, and added new suit parts on to disguise the original Baragon monster and make it look like a completely new kaiju.

After ULTRAMAN (1966), Tsuburaya gave Toho back the suit. Baragon was placed in the Toho lot for a year, and then was brought back out for the final film the suit would be used in: DESTROY ALL MONSTERS (1968). Sadly, Tohos budget couldnt afford to repair Baragon 65. Because of this, the suit was far too damaged to be used in DESTROY ALL MONSTERS (1968). So, Baragon was given a ten second appearance. We see him once in the final battle, and again on Monsterland in the ending scene. In the scene where Baragon was supposed to attack Paris, they replaced Baragon with the Gorosaurus suit, but the characters still claimed him to be Baragon in the film.
