Chaining Tutorial by Yakuza - Sparkle

Yakuza Chaining

By sparkle [173159]

Yakuza does their chaining a bit differently than other factions. That said, this is a tutorial to help your first time chaining go a bit smoother.

(Image quality sorta sucks. :S My apologies.)

What generally happens is we go in the order of the people in the channel (be it #yakuzaskuad for YC or #yakuzatraining for YT). In the instance you will see in the pictures below, Dash would go first, Lord3Infamous6 would go next, then abcd-AFK, and so on.

When it is your turn to go, whoever is running the chain will say "!hitter yourname" (in this instance, since we're talking about me, !hitter sparkle|chain). This will trigger a PM from Yakuza, the war bot, as seen here:

The message from Yakuza will be as follows:

MAKE SURE THAT YOU CONFIRM THAT YOU ARE GOING WHEN "!HITTER YOURNAME" IS SAID. That way, everyone doesn't wonder whether you're actually there or not. You can just say "ok" or "going', but make sure you do it in the channel where you are chaining. Then, go to your warbase (which should already be loaded), attack the ONE person you choose, and wait when you get to this screen:

It is helpful to say when you're at this screen, just to let everyone know you're ready. You will wait at the above screen until you see this message on IRC:

Now, you go ahead and click "Hospitalize them". You will then see this screen:

When you get here, type "!done" (without quotation marks) on IRC in #yakuzaskuad or #yakuzatraining (depending on who you're chaining with), just as I did:

!done does two things. First, it resets the counter for the next person's hit. Secondly, it adds one to the counter of how many people have hit during the current chain. NEVER SAY !DONE UNLESS YOU HAVE HIT.

Now, you're done with your hit and will wait until it is your turn again to go.

We chain this way for a few of reasons. Waiting three minutes between hits and going in a fairly long order for hitting allows for more natural energy refill so we can get the most out of our hits before turning to refills. It also allows for more people to be able to pop in and help out with the chains.

And of course, if you still have any questions about the way we chain or why we do it this way, don't hesitate to ask. :)

Hastily put in HTML by Dash.
