�Where were you yesterday? I thought I told you 3 days, NOT 4.� Brooklyn�s boss Max, told her.
She had stayed an extra day with JC even though she knew she wasn�t supposed to.
�I�m sorry, I couldn�t make it in.� She said
�Brooklyn, what�s been going on lately? You�re very unfocused on work, is it school?�
�No it�s not school.�
�What is it then Brooke?...If you keep this up I might have to let you go.� He said
�No, no�I need this job to pay for school. Please, I�ll do my best.�
�I better see improvement soon.�
�Yes sir.� Brooklyn stood up and walked out the door. She walked back to the front desk.
�What happened? What�d he say?� Sara asked
�If I don�t get my act together, I�m fired.� Brooklyn said
�Really?�
�Yeah, asshole.�
Brooke, you have sort of been slackin�.�
�Oh thanks. My best friend dissin� on me.�
�No Brooke that�s not it�you�ve changed. You�re never around, we never talk anymore. I feel like I�ve lost you. What�s going on?�
�Sara I�m sorry. You�re still my best friend, I just got things on my mind.�

�I guess. We�ll do something tomorrow before work.�

The next day. 12:00pm.
Brooklyn was meeting Sara at 1 to go to lunch at Denny�s.
She was getting ready, putting her jean on. She was looking for her shirt when the phone rang.
�Hello?�
�Hey baby.� JC said
Brooklyn smiled. �Hi, how are you?�
�Good, I miss you.�
�I miss you too.�
�So�what are you up to?�
�Getting dressed, trying to find my shirt.� She chuckled.
�Where are you going?�
To lunch with Sara.�
�Oh have fun.�
�I�ll try. I think I might finally tell her about you.�
�Really?�
�Yeah she�s really worried about me and wonder what�s going on and then my boss is being an asshole threatening to fire me if I don�t get my act together.�

�Yeah, he was mad because I didn�t show up the day before yesterday, when I stayed with you.�
JC smiled, �It was worth it though right?� He chuckled.
Brooklyn laughed. �The fact that we stayed inside all day was nice.�

�I love you too sweetheart.� He smiled.
�Well I got to leave pretty soon and finish getting ready. Call me later okay?�

She hung up the phone finding her socks and shoes she put them on then left her apartment to go have lunch with Sara.

Brooklyn walked inside Denny�s.
�Good Afternoon ma�am. How many people?� The waiter asked.
�I�m meeting someone.�
�Oh there was a young lady expecting someone. Are you Brooklyn?�

The waiter led her to the table. She saw Sara sitting at a booth.
�I see her, thanks.�
�No problem. Someone will be right with you.� He said then walking away.
�Hey Sara.�
�Hi, how are you?�
�Good.� Brooklyn smiled.
�Why are you so happy?�
�We�ll get to that later.�

Brooklyn chuckled, �Ok�� She took a deep breath. �Let�s order our drinks first.�

The waitress came by and ordered their drinks.
�Ok now can you tell me?�
�Alright�what do you want to know?�
�Why you�re so happy�and gone all the time.
�I fell in love with someone.� She smiled.
�What? You fell in love with who?� Sara said freaking out.
�Do you remember in December when that guy JC Chasez came to town?�
�Oh my god! It�s him? How? When? What?!�
Brooklyn chuckled. �I don�t know? One night we went to have coffee while I was on my break and we just talked a lot afterwards. We clicked, and like two weeks alter we were together.�
�Really? Was he the one you took to Aspen with you?�
�Yes.� Brooke smiled.
�What? Did you two have sex in Aspen?�
�No not in Aspen, our first kiss was the day before we went to Aspen though.�
�What do you mean, not in Aspen? Have you two had sex yet?�
�Yeah, last weekend. Valentine�s Day. It was so romantic, and that�s when he first told me he loved me.�
�Aw�so tell me details, what happened?�
Brooklyn laughed. �Ok well Valentine�s Day morning, Friday. We get up and he asks if I want to go shopping with Justin cause he�s got things to do in the studio.�
�Wait, Justin Timberlake?�

�Hehe�anyway so yeah I went to the mall with Justin and I was freaking out cause I was like it�s fucking Valentine�s Day why am I not with my boyfriend? So Justin snitched and told me that JC had something planned. So I get back to JC�s house, which is HUGE by the way�and he was cooking, he made me pasta. When I got there he told me to go into the living room so I did and he had candles everywhere, red, pink, and yellow rose petals all over the floor. It was so beautiful.� Brooklyn couldn�t take the smile off her face.
�How gorgeous. You look so happy. I�m so happy for you!�

�In bed�� Sara added.
Brooklyn laughed. �That too��
�I�m kidding, so how long have you two been together?�
�3 months.�
�So all those �trips� you go to�
�I�m with him.� She smiled. �I met his parents New Year�s Eve. It was fun, they�re really nice and the rest of his band mates.�
�All of *NSYNC?�
�Yes, we played tennis in the backyard, those boys crack me up.�
�I want to meet Justin, can I meet him?�
�I�ll try, I talk to him more than the rest of them, well besides JC. When he was here in town I was working and one night he came down for a midnight snack. We were in the kitchen eating cheesecake. He�s so funny!�
�Ok, so tell me more. Is JC a good kisser? What happened in Aspen?�
�Oh yes, I could kiss him forever. His lips are so soft and he�s so sensitive and gentle.�

�I know. Um�in Aspen we just skied a lot and he sang to me for the first time. I had never heard his voice before. I was blown away he has such a beautiful voice�oh and the day before we went to Aspen he spent the night and the next morning he made me pancakes, he fed them to me then kissed me. Aw I was in heaven.�
Sara laughed. �You�re so cute, you�re all giggly, you can tell you�re in love.�
Brooklyn smiled.
�So have you told anyone else about him?�
�No, mostly only his friends and family. You�re the first one I�ve told.�
�You haven�t told your mom?�
�No, she�ll be disappointed.�
�Why?�
�He�s 26. That�s 6 years older than me. My mom wouldn�t like that.�
�Why age shouldn�t matter.�
�It doesn�t not to me. I love JC but my mom would probably question me why?�
�Just explain to her that you love him and you don�t care about the age difference.�
�Yeah maybe I�ll call her sometime soon.�
�You should so you don�t have to keep all these secrets anymore.�

�Well I feel better finally talking about this with someone. Do you?�
Sara chuckled. �Yes, I�m glad you shared this with me. We haven�t talked like this in a while.�
�I�m glad we did.� Brooklyn said
�Well we better get to work. It�s almost 4.�
They paid for the check then left.

Brooklyn was on her way home from work that night when her cell phone rang.
�Hello?�
�Hey baby what you up to?� JC said
�Hi�� Brooklyn smiled. �I�m just going home.�
�From work?�
�Yeah.�
�You have a good day?�
�Yeah, how about you?�
�Good, hey can I call you when I get home, I�m almost there.�
�Alright, I�ll see you soon.� He smiled sitting in her living room.
After hanging up the phone JC wondered if she caught on, if not she�d see when she got home.

Brooklyn unlocked the door to her apartment. She opened the door. She turned on the front light walking through the room. She walked upstairs to her bedroom. She walked to the side of her bed to turn the light on.
Someone wrapped their arms around waist. She jumped from the sudden contact.
�Brooke, it�s just me.� JC said
�What the hell are you doing here? How�d you get in?� She said
�I came to see you.�
�You scared the shit out of me.� She lightly hit him.
He chuckled. �I�m sorry baby.� He embraced her.
She wrapped her arms around him tightly. �I�m so glad you�re here.�
�Me too.�
Brooklyn looked up at JC. �You just can�t seem to stay away from me�� She laughed.
JC chuckled. �No, you�re so irresistible.� He smiled. He placed his hands on her face. Leaning in and placing his lips on hers, lightly kissing her. Brooklyn parted her lips, letting JC�s tongue explore her mouth. The kiss was passionate and slow. She never wanted it to end. JC pulled away, lingering it. Placing small kisses on her lips before he completely pulled away.
Brooklyn opened her eyes, smiling at him.
�I love you.�
�I love you too.� He smiled.
�I am so tired. So I am going to sleep.� She said
JC chuckled. �Ok.�
She put her pajama�s on and the two laid on the bed and went to sleep.
