chapter twenty-five
Justin slammed the door as he walked in.
�Kimberly!� He called for her. He walked into the kitchen and found her.
�Hey baby.� She said.
�Why the fuck didn�t you tell me?� Justin said angry, raising his voice.
�Tell you what?�
�That you�re fucking pregnant!�
�Justin I was going to tell you.�
�When? When the kid is born? I can�t believe you Kimberly! Why wasn�t I the first to know? Don�t you think I should have been?�
�Yes, you were going to be, but Danielle called me and asked so I told her.�
�Why couldn�t she wait?�
�She�s my best friend she can know if she wants to.�
�And I�m your husband. God this fucking pisses me off. I had to find out my wife was pregnant from one of my best friends. At least it wasn�t my mom...� He said, really talking to himself now. �...Does she know?�
�No.� Kimberly said softly.
�Kimberly why? Why couldn�t you just call me and tell me?�
�I was scared.� She said softly.
�What?�
�I was scared Justin!...You�re doing exactly what I thought you would. You�re fucking pissed off because I didn�t tell you first. Well get over it god damn it!� She yelled. She walked out of the kitchen grabbing her purse and coat.
�Where are you going?� Justin asked following her.
�Like you give a shit!� She yelled while walking out the door.
�That�s right, I don�t!� He yelled back.
Kimberly got in her car and left to Danielle�s.

There was a knock on the door. Danielle and JC were in the living room talking and playing with Alishia.
�I�ll get it.� JC stood up. He walked to the front door and opened it. Kimberly was standing there crying.
�Hey what�s wrong?� He asked.
�Is Danielle here?� She asked.
�Yeah, come on in.� He said. She walked in and to the living room.
Danielle was sitting on the couch holding Alishia. She looked up at Kimberly.
�What�s wrong? What did he say?�
�He hates me.� Kimberly cried. Sitting next to Danielle resting her head on Danielle�s shoulder.
JC took Alishia from Danielle and sat on the other couch across from them.
�What happened?� Danielle asked lifting Kimberly�s head up.
�He came into the house yelling, asking me why I didn�t tell him. I told him I was going to tell him and he yelled �what when the kid is born.� He was really mad, he wanted to be the first to know. Then he asked why I couldn�t just wait to tell you when you called. Then he kept asking me why I couldn�t wait, I told him I was scared then I busted out yelling at him telling him that his reaction is just what I thought and told him to get over it that he didn�t know first and then I left.�
�Wow, why did he have to freak out about not being the first to know? JC wasn�t the first to know about Alishia, more like 5th.�
�Thanks sweetheart.� JC said jokingly.
�Sorry.� She smiled at him.
�But Kimberly, I know, you know Justin is like that with things really personal. He wants to be the first to know.� JC said.
�I know. I don�t understand why he�d have to yell at me about it.� She said.
�He�s a guy, he�s stupid.� Danielle said.
�I knew somewhere along the long something was going to go wrong.� Kimberly said.
�Of course you two are going to fight you�re both human and it�s probably unhealthy not to fight. You would just keep your emotions all bottled up. It�s ok Kimberly, you two will get through this. This is just little. He�ll have to get over himself sooner or later.� Danielle told her.
�I hope soon.� She said.
�Me too.� JC said.
The two girls laughed.
�Can I stay here tonight?�
�Of course.�
�Thanks.�
�No problem.�

The next morning. 7 AM.
There was a loud knock on the door.
JC sat up in bed. �Who the hell would be here at this time?� He said
The pounding kept going. Alishia started to cry in the next room.
�Ugh! Doesn�t that person realize people are sleeping?� Danielle mumbled.
�I�ll get the door, you get the baby.� JC said getting out of the bed. Danielle followed him and went to Alishia�s room.
JC opened the front door. He saw Justin.
�Justin do you realize what time it is? You woke up Alishia.� JC said.
�Sorry man...is Kimberly here?� Justin asked.
�Man, why did you tell her all that shit?� JC said
�JC let me in.�
�Not until you tell me why you have to flip out because you�re not the first to know.�
�But it�s my child. I have the right to know.�
�Yes, maybe not first and now you know. You didn�t need to go yell at her. For God sake�s she was scared to tell you in the first place, what does that say Justin?�
�I didn�t mean to.� Justin sighed.
�Come on in. I�ll go get her, see if she wants to even talk to you.� JC let him in then walked upstairs towards the guest room.
�Hey Kimberly.� He said stepping into the room.
She sat up leaning against the headboard on the bed. �Yeah?� She said looking up at him.
�Justin�s here, you want to talk to him?�
She sighed. �No.�
�Okay.� JC walked to the top of the stairs.
�J, she said no.� He said quickly then walking to Alishia�s room.
�Is she ok?� He asked Danielle, who was holding her.
�She calmed down.� She said, she handed the baby to JC and he held her in his arms. Alishia hung onto him, resting her head on his shoulder and slowly drifted back to sleep.
Downstairs.
�Fuck it if she doesn�t want to talk to me. She�s going to.� Justin said walking upstairs to go see Kimberly.
He walked into the room and she was laying down on th bed. He walked up to the side of the bed and kneeled so he was facing her.
�Baby girl.� He said softly.
She moved turning her back to him.
�Baby girl, come on. Please listen to me.� He said trying to get her to face him.
�Like you give a shit.� She said.
�I do care Kimberly, please I don�t want us to fight.�
�That�s a little late.�
�Baby girl, I�m sorry for yelling at you last night...I was a total jerk...Kimberly please look at me.� He grabbed her shoulder and moved her to face him. She was crying. �Don�t cry.� He said wiping her tears away. �I�m really sorry. I was speaking before I was thinking. I�m sorry I blew up at you. I really should�ve just been happy about the baby then be a jerk cause I wasn�t the first to know...Even though I wasn�t the first to know, I�ve gotten over myself and I�m so excited about the baby.� He smiled from ear to ear. Kimberly was quiet for a long time.
�Kimberly say something...� Justin said
�What do you think it�s going to be?� She asked smiling.
Justin smiled. He leaned towards her and kissed her forehead.
�I love you.�
�I love you too.�
�And I know it�s gonna be a boy. I can teach him to sing like me.� Justin smiled.
�What? To sound like a girl.� Kimberly joked.
�Ooo...that hurt, that was low.�
�I�m kidding, you have a pretty girly voice.�
�Ok I�m leaving now.� Justin said standing up.
�No...wait for me.� Kimberly said getting out of the bed. She grabbed her clothes and left with Justin.
�D, I�m taking your pajamas home. I�ll bring them back.� Kimberly said walking down the stairs.
�Don�t you two know how to be quiet, there�s a baby sleeping in this house.� Danielle said walking out of Alishia�s room.
�Sorry.� Kimberly and Justin said, �Bye.�
�Bye.�
The two left going back to their home.

Danielle was over at Kimberly�s a few days later.
�So how you feeling?� Danielle asked.
�I�m starting to show. I�m already 4 months and I feel huge.� Kimberly said.
Danielle chuckled. �It gets worse.�
�Oh wonderful. It�s hard to sleep at night. I still have morning sickness.�
�Ew...I hated that...so how is Justin doing?�
�Fine...he�s loving this though...he can�t wait.�
�That�s great.�
�Yeah, guess what he�s really excited about?�
�What?�
�Lamaze classes.�
Danielle laughed. �Really? When do those start?�
�Not for another month or so.�
�JC had fun at those classes. He always bonded with the other guys and made the women gush because he was so nice. I was like yeah he only acts like this in public. He really liked it also because he barely got any action, and those classes the husband has to like hold you and help you out with some of the exercises. He cracks me up.� She smiled.
�Justin will love it then.�
�Probably.�
�I have a question?�
�Huh?�
�Can you come with us, the first few times, I�m a little scared.�
Danielle smiled. �Sure, I�ll make JC come too.�
�Alright...so what are you two doing for Alishia�s first birthday?�
�We�re just going to have a little party here. JC�s parents are coming. They�ll be here next week, the day before her birthday.�
�Am I invited?�
�Of course, you lil� pregnant woman.�
�Hey!...So yeah I�ll be there. So it�s just us, the guys, JC�s parents and anyone else?�
�Uh...Chris said he�s bringing his girlfriend Sarah.�
�Ok.�
�Well I better get going. I�ll call you later.� Danielle said
�Okay, bye.� Kimberly said
