Josh sat at the kitchen table staring at the piece of paper for hours. He had just got home that evening from the studio. Expecting to find his girlfriend, Katie. Instead he found no one home and a letter on the table for him. She had left him.

Josh lay in the bed that they shared once before. His hands behind his head, he stared up at the ceiling. Tears stained his red cheeks. He didn�t know what he did wrong. He wanted her to come back. What could he do to bring her back? He cried himself to sleep that night.

The next morning he woke up hoping to find Katie there beside him. �It was all a dream.� He thought before he turned around and found no one there. He laid his head on her pillow, it still smelled like her. He inhaled her smell. He already missed it. He fell back asleep, his mind filled with dreams of her.

*Flashback*
�Hi my name is Katie.� She said introducing himself.

�Hi I�m Josh, nice to meet you.� He smiled at her. She was the most beautiful woman he�s ever seen.

�Would you like to get a drink with me?� She asked

He ignored his conciseness telling him it was too soon to get into dating again. �Sure.� He smiled.

2 years later�

Josh walked into the house. It was quiet.

�Katie, you here?� He said

�Yeah, in the living room.� She said

He walked towards her voice. He walked into the room and saw her lying on the couch reading a magazine.

�Hey sweetheart. What you up to?� He asked sitting next to her on the couch.

�Just reading.�

Josh leaned down and gently kissed her soft lips. Every kiss he gave her it always had so much passion and love. He pulled away and smiled down at her.

�I love you so much Katie.�

�I love you too.� She smiled.

�Don�t ever forget that.�

�I won�t.�

�I�ll love you the rest of my life.�

�I know you will, I�ll love you forever too.�

He leaned down and kissed her again.

6 months later� As time passed his heart was still healing from when the love of his life left him. No explanations. Nothing. Josh sat in front of his piano. He scribbled on a piece of paper. He still missed her more than anything and tried contacting her a few times but never did. His fingers lay on top of the white keys. He pushed down gently and began to play the new ballad he just wrote. At the end of the song he stopped completely and stared at the notes in front of him. He picked up the pencil and wrote on the top. �I Only Wanted� For my Katie.�
