chapter 02
The ride to the airport was mostly about thinking of her mother in Louisiana and her father in New York City. She wanted to be with them but she knew she couldn't. She hated lying to her parents about who she was and what she did. She knew they would be so proud of her that she was doing something to help people out and save the country they so dearly loved. But there were negatives to the job. Riley knew she couldn't count how many people were dead because she put them there. That, that was the down fall of the job. The killing. She had become so numb to it now shooting someone was so easy and that scared her. That was so freighting that she hated having a gun next to her even though she had to. She could just fire the thing and just shrug it off like it never happened. That was not the person she was when she came into the CIA but the bureau had changed her in good and bad ways. But in this section of the government your fearless, determine, and will do anything to get the job done. That's exactly what Riley did. Maybe that why everyone looked up to her. She was the perfect material the CIA was looking for. Sometimes that was a burden and sometimes it was a blessing. Riley parked the rental car she was given and slowly got out of the car then grabbed her bags. Here comes another mission she shouldn't even be on. She should be with her mom and enjoying what life she had left. When Riley got to the gate number she saw Chloe and Casey already there. Of course Matt was gunna be late when was he ever on time.
"Hey everyone" Riley said as she set her stuff down infront of Chloe.
"Hey Riles" Casey said with a big frown on his face.
"Oh I can just see the excitement pouring out of your face" Riley said as she hit his arm as she sat down next to him.
"Yeah its just so exciting I don't think I will be able to hide it anymore" Casey said sarcastically.
"It will be fun and maybe if you hang out with the guys every girl will be all over you. Everything will be fine you got me and Chloe" Riley said.
"That's not what I'm worried about. Knowing that you are here I KNOW everything will go smoothly because your the best and you want to get the job done and leave" Casey said.
"Awwwww Casey you made me feel so much better about leaving too" Riley said.
"See we help on another out just like we should" Casey said.
"Exactly. You know how the job goes" Riley said. Riley looked over a Chloe and saw her staring into space.
"Hey Chloe are you looking at the dust particles floating by?" Riley asked.
"Dammit I just lost my count on them. I have to start all over now thanks!" Chloe said annoyed.
All three of them had to laugh at that. The had become good friends, they always seemed to go out on mission together. Riley looked around the airport at anyone suspicion. Its was a habit that was hard to break. She looked over up at the oncoming people coming towards them from the the terminal. She saw massive amounts of bodyguards and too many people to count behind them.
"Oh great there here and Matt isn't" Riley said.
"Jeez here comes the poop stars" Casey said.
"Be nice now. They're probably so weak Matt would kick there ass so they can't help it" Chloe said.
As they got closer they could see they guys and Riley saw the guy's manger Johnny whom she needed to speak to personally because he knew the real reason for coming. As they got face to face with them she saw Matt kissing up to them.
"Well, well look who showed up" Riley said.
"Hey sexy if I would have know you were over here I would have joined you and you would have had some fun" Matt said.
Oh god here he goes with the ego trip to look cool infront of the guys. Riley had to defeat the ego again.
"The only fun I would have been having is enjoying beating the shit out of you and watching you cry like a baby then run to the boys bathroom cuz you got beat by a women" Riley said.
"Ouch" all the guys said.
"Hi girls you must be Riley and Chloe" Johnny said coming up to the girls and shaking there hands.
"And Casey Whitman right?" Johnny said.
"Yes, sir" Casey said and shook Johnny's hand.
"JC and Mr. Ego front and center" Johnny said. JC and Justin came to Johnny and looked at the girls.
"Riley Collins meet Josh Chasez and Chloe Johnson meet Justin Timberlake. Boys your new assistants" Johnny said.
"Riles is what my friends call me" Riley said and she shook JC's hand.
"Riley will be fine with me" JC said.
"Then that settled" Riley said and smiled at JC. JC smiled back and excused himseld and turned around to talk to Lance about tomorrow's events.
"Nice to meet you Justin" Chloe said.
"You too Chloe" Justin said and walked off.
'Thanks for the blow off asshole. Nice first impression' Chole thought.
Chloe looked around and saw Riley talking to Casey and Matt. Chloe walked over to them but someone grabbed her elbow and stopped her. She turned around sharply and looked at the person who stopped her.
"Hi I'm Lance Bass and I'm sorry for the way Justin treated you he has no manners" Lance said.
"Chloe Johnson. Nice to meet you and about Justin it's okay I've had worst people encounter me" Chloe said.
"If he makes this tour horrible just give him a good beating and he will let down" Lance said.
'If he only knew' Chloe thought.
"How old are you and Riley?" Lance asked.
"Riley is 23 and I'm 21" Chloe said.
"If you don't mind me saying but you two are beautiful ladies and I'm sure that you two will be no trouble at all" Lance said.
"No trouble? Then you guys must have the wrong two girls because Riley and me can be the worst thing you have ever seen" Chloe said laughing.
"Oh no we have another Carmen and Chantel. Great you four together and we are going to have something so hectic and out of line you four will be wild" Lance said laughing with her.
"Like it isn't already hectic and wild as is?" Chloe said.
"True. You and Riley seem close. Are you two childhood friends or what?" Lance asked.
'He ask too many damn questions' Chloe thought.
"No we meet in about the sixth grade and we have been friends from then on" Chloe said.
"Hey Chloe and Lance" Riley said as she approached them.
"Hey Riles. Couldn't take any more of 'Oh Holy Matthew' I see" Chloe said.
"Oh no what on earth are you talking about Chloe? I just love hearing him talk about how he is Gods gift to women" Riley said.
"Oh you have one of them too? No wonder Matt and Justin were getting along so well" Lance said.
"Oh your my new best friend." Riley said hugging Lance.
"I have a friend now" Lance said acting like he was gunna cry.
"Awww Lancey get no love from the boys or the fans?" Riley said and pulled away then putting a sad frown on her face.
Lance just shook his head no. Riley was about to say something back to Lance but saw Casey from the corner of her eye and she knew she had to stop. He gave her a stern look and she backed away then excused herself and walked into the bathroom. She look into the mirror then threw some cool water on her face and whipped it off. She couldn't get attached like she did the last mission which was almost a bust because she was too wrapped up in the people around her. Having more fun then she should have. She got a warning this time but if it happens again she could get suspended from 6 months and she couldn't have that. This was her job, her career, and most importantly her life.
