chapter 03
A week later.
Grammy's night.
"Wear that black dress with those black fishnets." Eve suggested.
"Perfect! Thank you!" Amanda grabbed the dress and went into the bathroom.
15 minutes later she came out of the bathroom, dress on and make-up done.
"How should I do my hair?" Amanda asked
"Make it wavy or put it up."
"Ok, come help me...how do I look so far?"
"Gorgeous!"
Amanda had on a black silky dress that crossed over one shoulder and over the opposite leg with black fishnets on. She put her hair in wavys letting it down.
As she finished putting on her shoes there was a knock on the door. She got up and opened the door. When she opened the door she say Joey, Lance and Chris in tuxedos.
"You guys look handsome." She smiled.
Their jaws dropped. Staring at her.
"What? Is this too much?" She asked worried.
"Damn girl you look...HOT!" Joey said.
"No, sexy." Lance said
"Very sexy." Chris added.
She blushed.
"Thank you."
"What are you guys staring at?" Justin asked walking up to them. Josh right behind him.
He saw Amanda.
"Holy...Jesus you look hot!" Justin said
"What?" Josh said. He looked at Amanda inside the room, "...Wow! you look...Wow!"
She laughed blushing even more.
"Can we go now?" She asked.
"Yeah." They all said
She went into the room and grabbed her purse. Earlier she had put her gun in a holder strapped on the inside of her leg. Just in case. She had a cell phone and her badge in her purse. She walked back to the door and left with the guys.
"Bye Marcie."
"Bye Amanda. Have fun. Tell Craig I said hi."
"Ok." Amanda laughed closing the door.
"What the hell am I going to wear?" Amanda asked Eve as she tried to find an outfit to wear at the Grammy's.
In the limo, Josh sat next to Amanda. He was speechless about how beautiful she looked tonight. He was sort of nervous in some way. He looked over at her. She was laughing at something Chris was saying. She looked over at him, she saw him looking at her and smiled.
"You excited about seeing Craig David?" He asked
She smiled "Yes!...He's so hot, wonderful voice...I want to grope him."
He laughed at the last thing she said. "O-K. But he's a nice guy. Good music. I like the two-step thing he does."
"Yeah."
They arrived at the Grammy's and went through the security tent then onto the red carpet. Lots of questions were asked about who Amanda was. They told the reporters she was there to see Craig David. Chris, Joey and Lance's girlfriends were there so she had someone to stand and talk to.
She had been talking to Josh when they passed a reporter trying to get his attention.
"JC! JC! Can you talk to us?"
He walked up to the reporter. Amanda stayed with him.
"Hi JC...how are you doing tonight?"
"Good...beautiful night."
"Yes and who's this?"
"This is Amanda."
"Hi." She said
"So how do you know JC?"
She looked at Josh. He nodded his head. "I went to high school with him. Known him for a while. He's like a brother. He let me come cause I wanted to see Craig David." She laughed
'If I'm so brother like...why do I have these weird feelings about you?' He asked himself silently.
"Have you seen him yet?"
"Yeah we talked. I said hi, got a hug." She smiled.
"He's a cutie. Well thank you both for chatting."
"Your welcome." Josh said
"Enjoy the rest of the night."
"We will."
They continued walking soon finding their way into the theatre.
"And the winner is...*NSYNC!"
(Cheers)
They all stood up. All giving Amanda hugs.
"Congratulations guys!" She told them. They walked up onto the stage. While they were up there she watched them carefully and the surroundings. To make sure they were safe up there.
After the Grammy's were over. They guys wanted to go to an after party.
Amanda had to go along, if she wanted to or not.
They walked into the club and found a booth to sit at and order drinks.
"What do you want Amanda?" Chris asked
"Oh...nothing for me."
"Why not?"
"C'mon Manda, cut loose, have some fun." Justin said
She sighed. "Ok fine, I'll have a sex on the beach."
"Alright girl!" Justin said giving her a high five.
'I can't believe I'm doing this!...I shouldn't be drinking on the job.' She thought to herself.
"Amanda are you ok?" Josh asked
"Huh...yeah." She said
"You kinda zoned out there."
"Oh sorry, just thinking."
"Hey...do you want to go dance?" He asked
She smiled. "Sure."
They got upand walking to the dance floor. A slow song came on. Josh pulled Amanda close as they swayed to the music. As the song came to an end Jusitn walked up to them.
"Can I cut in?" He asked
"Sure go right ahead, do you thing." Amanda joked.
The 2 guys looked at each other. She laughed.
"It's alright. Go ahead. I'll go sit back down." Josh said, really still wanting to dance with her.
She smiled at him. He smiled back walking away. She turned back to Justin just as the song 'Peaches & Cream' by 112 came on.
"Oh yeah my favorite song!" Amanda said
"Yeah baby! Let's go...show me your stuff." Justin said
She laughed. "Ooo...but can you handle this?" She turned around and pushed up against him.
"Oh yeah!" He put his hands on her hips as they grinded to the song.
Josh watched the 2 from his seat. He wanted to be the one dancing with her like that, driving him wild. He felt a hint of jealously of Justin.
"Doesn't he hace a girlfriend?" He said outloud.
"Who?" Lance asked
"Justin! I'm the single one. That should be me!"
"Looks like someones got a crush."
"No I don't."
"Whatever JC."
Josh watched the 2 finish dancing to the song.
'Is Lance right?...Do I like her?' He thought to himself. He shrugged off the feeling. They all stayed for a little longer, then went back to the hotel.
Amanda had Chris on her right and Justin on her left. She carried them up to their rooms after clubbing. She made sure they made it into their beds.
She walked back to her room. Josh walked by her.
"You alright?" She asked
"Yeah, you?"
"I'm fine, going to bed."
"Same here. Goodnight Amanda."
"Night." She walked back to her room.
She opened the door and the lights were off. She quietly walked into the room and soon went to bed.
"John it's really hard...since they don't know we have to make up excuses to say we have to go with them here and there." Amanda said
"Well keep doing that. Johnny doesn't want us telling them."
"Well that just makes our job so much funner! They don't know their being stalked and that they're being protected by the FBI." Eve said
John Murphy and Amanda laughed.
"You girls are doing a good job. Keep at it....Amanda how are you with the guys?"
"Good. I went to the Grammy's as you know. Everything went well. They seem to like me."
"She has a crush on Josh..." Eve said
"I do not!"
"Well then he likes you."
"Shit. That's the last thing I need now."
"Yeah really."
Murphy laughed. "Well you girls know the rules I don't have to remind you."
They finished their talk and lunch. And soon they went their own ways.
The 5 guys sat in the studio talking.
"So what do you guys think of Amanda and Marcie?" Justin asked
"They're both hot!" Joey said
"They're nice. Haven't really seen much of Marcie, but Amanda's really sweet." Josh said
"Yeah, same here." Lance and Chris said
"So you still got a crush on Amanda?" Justin asked Josh.
"Shut up! I never did." He said in defense.
"Oh c'mon JC you know your attracted to her. You talk to her all the time." Chris said
"I do not...I mean she's very beautiful. Nice girl..." He noticed the 4 guys staring at him smiling. They all looked at each other.
"He likes her." They all said
"I'm not listening to you guys." He said going back to the booth and getting to work.
