Prologue: Meeting at Once

Kagome sighed she, Sango, and Miroku were at the park. They decided to have some fun, well Kagome and Sango versus Miroku in soccer. It was fun, until Sango peg Miroku with the ball. Now Sango had Miroku under a tree asking Kagome to get some water. As Kagome got the water she heard a loud smacking sound. �Miroku must be awake.� She laughed as she jogged back to the two. Sango was seething as Miroku smiled, rubbing his newly red cheek. �Welcome to the world of the Conscious Miroku.�

�Thanks Kagome,� He grinned. Kagome knew that grin. She poured her water on his head.

�Don�t even try to grope me,� She shook her head and bopped him with the empty water bottle. Sango laughed. Kagome put her hands behind her head and stuck her tongue out. �Sango, you gotta keep Miroku in line. Or else I have to do it.�

�Right Kagome, anyway let�s continue our game, it was what, 6 to 4, me and Kag?� Sango asked as she balanced the soccer ball on her knee.

�How about you and Kagome play, while I take a break?� Miroku suggested. Both girls looked at Miroku with the same expression.

�You bum,� They replied. Both girls went to the field to play some one on one anyway.ked at Miroku with the same expression.

Miroku found it quite funny when the girls kept chasing each other for the ball. He got up and walked to them as an all boys soccer team got to the field. �Hey! What are girls doing on our field?� One asked.

�Hmph your field? Where�s your name buddy?� Sango snorted.

�We don�t need our name on it, we practice here everyday.� Another replied.

�Public property, ever heard of it?� Kagome asked as she put her foot on top of her ball.

�I have an idea,� Miroku said. �Why not play for the field? Us against a regular based team?�

�Fine with us, just you three?� Miroku was about to nod when a man interrupted.

�That hardly seems fair now,� A red-haired man spoke calmly. He had green eyes and was in a red school uniform. Sango and Kagome gawked at the handsome man and his two companions. The other two had black hair, but one was shorter than the other, and looked meaner.

�Come now Kurama, you expect such trivial humans to play fair?� The short man asked.

�Take it easy Hiei, this is a sport.� The short man, known as Hiei snorted at the taller man�s comment. �How about we make it four to your whole team, I�ll play.� Kagome and Sango smiled gratefully. The guy smirked.

�I will play as well Yusuke.� The red head spoke. Sango grinned and elbowed Kagome who laughed. �Five against eight seems more fair for these young ladies.�

�Alright, we�re in...First to 7 then,� The soccer team known as the Eagles smirked.

�Fools,� Hiei muttered as he stood by a nearby tree.

As the game began everyone got into position. Miroku stood in the goal stretching, Kagome and Sango were offense as Kurama and Yusuke were defense. The Eagles gave the girls the ball to start off first. Hiei snorted as he saw demons on their team. This should prove interesting. He thought as the girls kicked the ball up. Kagome dribbled the ball a bit then passed it to Sango, who did the same as they weaved through the boys. Yusuke smirked and watched at they made a goal with out any of the boys touching them.

�Hey Kurama, those girls are not bad.� Yusuke commented.

�Yes, I must agree.� Kurama nodded as they reset their positions. This time the Eagles had the ball. The game kept going back and forth until both teams reached 6 points each. Sango and Kagome had the ball and were panting heavily. Though they were exhausted so was the other team, including their subs. The demons growled at the girls as they shared a smile.

�Sango, want to try the new move?� Kagome whispered. Sango nodded as Kagome called back to Miroku. �Miroku, we�re doing the arrow trick. We need you.� Yusuke took Miroku�s place as Miroku jogged up.

�Switch it up?� He asked. Sango nodded and cracked her knuckles. Yusuke and Kurama raised an eyebrow. �Ready?� Sango asked as she put her foot on the ball and rolled it slightly. Kagome nodded as did Miroku as he chuckled. Sango kicked it up to Miroku as she and Kagome jetted to the other side. Miroku put his foot under the ball.

�Sango, Arrow Split!� He shouted, all the boys ran to Sango as Miroku sent the ball flying through the air....but toward Kagome. She bounced it on her head as she slowly went to the goal. �Kagome!� Miroku called warning her.

�Coming through!� Kagome said as she kicked the ball into the air toward Sango. All the boys were away from her so she got it and balanced it on her head also. In the background you could hear Yusuke laughing.

�OH MAN! THEY ARE SO STUPID!� He laughed and pointed at the Eagles. Sango kicked it to Miroku, who too balanced it on his head. Kagome and Sango ran goal side. Miroku let the ball drop and kicked it to Kagome. As Kagome about to kick it, two of the Eagles ran into her knocking her to the ground. She rolled backwards flipping over herself until she landed on her back with her head to the side.

�Kagome!� Miroku and Sango yelled as she didn�t get up a first.

�Bastards!� Yusuke yelled. The Eagles laughed at Kagome.

�That wasn�t fair,� Kurama said as he glared at the Eagles.

�She won�t be up for weeks.� One laughed. All of sudden they all silenced because of a voice.

�Don�t be too sure about that,� Kagome slowly rose. �More like a few seconds.� Sango and Miroku smirked. Yusuke sighed and grinned. Kurama stared at the woman as she swayed side to side. Steadying herself, she dashed toward the forgotten ball and kicked it in. Kurama blinked then smiled.

�It seems we won.� He said as Hiei, Yusuke, and he went to the three friends.

�Hey! Thanks for playing with us guys!� Kagome smiled as she looked at her watch. Kurama smiled at the woman in front of him. Her hair was tied into a ponytail as the sweat made her face glisten like a goddess. Her eyes widened at the time. �Oh my god, excuse me I have to go!� Kagome started to run. Sango shook her head and grabbed Kagome�s ball and put it in her bag.

�That idiot forgot her stuff.� Hiei said.

�Just watch...� Miroku said. Kagome slowed down and whistled loudly. A large yellow cat with black markings and magic fire around its feet was coming from behind Sango.

�What is that?� Yusuke asked as he stepped back. Sango smiled and threw up Kagome�s bag to the cat as it caught it.

�Kirara, drop that off at Kagome.� Sango called as the cat flew toward the jogging Kagome. Kurama watched with slight interest as the demon cat dropped the bag to the young girl as she waved and ran off. Kirara flew back to Sango and landed behind her.

�Praetell what that is,� Hiei demanded.

�That�s Kirara, Sango�s neko youkai friend.� Miroku answered as he got his and Sango�s things. Kirara growled as flames engulfed it, just as fast as they came, the flames disappeared. Yusuke blinked and looked around.

�Where did it go?� Kurama asked. Sango smiled as Kirara in her smaller version jumped onto her shoulder. �How convenient.� Hiei looked at the cat as it hissed at him.

�Rodent...� He murmured. Miroku chuckled and looked at the time as well.

�Sango, we have to go,� Miroku said sternly. Kurama and Hiei seemed to have caught how sternly Miroku said that. �Well, nice meeting you all,� Miroku waved and ran off.

�Yeah, well I have to go finish my homework. Bye!� Sango walked off with Kirara on her shoulders. Yusuke blinked and looked at his other two companions.

�Seemed to be in a hurry, well let�s go.� Kurama said. Hiei nodded and they turned and walked away.

The next day, Kagome and Sango walked to school with Miroku. Kagome hung back as Sango slapped Miroku. She smiled as Kirara jumped onto her shoulder and meowed. Kagome kept Kirara on her shoulder as they were about to enter school grounds. Suddenly a high voiced called out.

�KAGOME!� It cried, a small ball of fur ran to Kagome and hugged her. �Kagome! They are chasing me again!� Kagome nodded and gave a meaningful glance at Sango and Miroku. They waved and walked into school. The little ball of fur that was actually an elementary school boy, led Kagome to his school down the street. Suddenly, a gang of small boys with about 5 older ones appeared around the two.

�Hand over Shippo,� The little boy cowered behind Kagome.

�Didn�t I tell you guys already knock it off,� Kagome growled as she picked up Shippo. She whispered something to him and tossed him onto the fence. Shippo got on his hand and feet and ran into the school where Kagome�s brother was waiting for him. Considering he is a kitsune cub, he got their pretty fast. �Leave Shippo alone, or else I�ll do the same thing as last time.� She smirked as they backed off. �Good, now I have to get to my new school.� She turned and ran away.

Today Kagome, Sango, and Miroku are going to a new school. One reasoning being that Kikyo was at their old school, another was Inuyasha, and a third was they both broke Kagome�s heart and almost shredded their friendship apart. So when Kagome announced she was leaving the school, Sango and Miroku decided to tag along. So here she was now running into her new school grounds.

She ran down the hallway looking for her new classroom. When she found it she knocked. All the noise silenced down as the teacher told Kagome to come in. She took a deep breath and sighed, walking in she plastered a calm expression on her face. The teacher looked at Kagome and raised an eyebrow.

�Do you have a pass?� The ugly teacher with the big nose and teeth asked.

�No, I don�t.� Kagome responded curtly. She could see Miroku and Sango in the corner of her eyes as she looked at the hideous teacher.

�Well, without a pass you get detention.� The teacher responded.

�I�m new here,� Kagome pressed.

�I don�t care, you should have thought of that before being late.� He glared at the young girl in front of her.

�Go to hell,� She murmured. The teacher looked shocked. He was about to say something when a round fellow opened the door. Kagome turned back and smiled. �Takenaka!� Kagome smiled knowingly.

�Hello Kagome,� Takenaka smiled. The students were amazed that the new girl new their principal. �Were you late?� The young girl nodded and explained that a friend needed help. �Well then, I excuse you Kagome.�

�Thank you sir,� Kagome bowed and turned to the teacher.

�Mr. Akashi, I assume you know of your new students?� Sango and Miroku smiled as Mr. Akashi nodded grudgingly. �Well if you need anything Kagome, you know where to find me.� Kagome nodded and turned to Mr. Akashi.

�You got lucky girl, introduce yourself to the class and take a seat behind Keiko.� Kagome closed her eyes and turned to the class.

�Hi, my name is Kagome. I�m 16 and my best friends are Sango and Miroku. I like archery.� Kagome bowed and opened her eyes to see a girl with short brown hair standing up. Kagome walked to her and sat in the empty desk behind her. Sango passed a note her through Miroku. Kagome opened the note as Mr. Akashi had his eyes on the board. She read the note and chuckled. It read:

Emogak,

Did you take a good look at Mr. Akashi? L.O.L. N E Way, I was wondering, did you notice the boy that played soccer with us is in this class? You know the tall black one with the green school suit.

Ognas

Kagome smiled at the note. They would spell their names backwards and say they found the note on the floor. All the teachers were stupid enough to buy it. She wrote back acting like she was taking notes.

Ognas,

No, I couldn�t take a good look if I did I think I would of died. No, I didn�t notice him. So? Big deal? Oh, If you have gym next just nod.

Emogak

She passed the note Miroku, who passed it to Sango who opened it and read it. She smiled and nodded slightly. Kagome turned back to the teacher, who was glaring at the boy in the green school suit.

�Urameshi, pay attention!� Mr. Akashi yelled.

�Shut up, old man!� Yusuke shouted back.

�That�s it Urameshi!� But before Mr. Akashi could finish Yusuke walked out of the room and slammed the door shut. Kagome blinked as did Miroku and Sango. They shrugged and let the rest of class continue.

After class Kagome rushed out of the room and smirked as she made a face to Sango and Miroku. They laughed as she explained if she was to be in there any longer that she might have died from Mr. Akashi�s face. Keiko walked up to them and smiled.

�Hi, we haven�t gotten the chance to meet. I�m Keiko Yukimura.� She shook Kagome�s hand.

�I�m Kagome, this is Sango, and Miroku.� Kagome introduced. Miroku took Keiko�s hand and kissed the back of it.

�Beautiful girl, would you do me the honors of bearing my child?� Miroku asked while grinning.

�NANI!?� Keiko squeaked. Both Kagome and Sango smacked Miroku upside the head.

�You baka, we told you not to do that.� Kagome scolded.

�Hentai!� Sango murmured as Miroku got back up and rubbed the back of his head. �Sorry for his actions,� Sango bowed. �He�s a Grade A pervert.�

Keiko laughed nervously before asking them what classes they had next. They all answered gym, Keiko smiled and said she had gym too. To Kagome excitement they were doing archery. Keiko led them to the gym and the girls left Miroku as they went to the locker rooms to change.

Inside, the girls heard bickering of a girl who never missed the target. Sango glanced at Kagome who smirked. Keiko led the two new girls out to the field after they got their bows and arrows. Kagome and Sango expertly tied the quiver to their belts as they headed from the targets. Kagome stopped and looked around. Someone�s aura is awfully strong...Kagome looked up to the roof to see Yusuke�s back leaning against the fence. She smiled and turned her head to Miroku as he ran up to them with his bow and arrows. He was pale and looked slightly pissed.

�Kag, you wouldn�t guess who�s here.� The look Miroku gave them scared the girls. �She�s shooting right now.� He led the three new friends through the crowd to the girl who was making the bull-eyes. Kagome froze in her spot as she looked on. The girl turned and smirked at her.

�Nice to see you again, Kagome.�

�Kikyo...�
