The Invincible

There will be no other source of strength. Who had been stronger than a man who knows his tomorrow? Where fear of the unknown cannot exist, fear then, is out of the equation. "Amor Fati" - the love of fate. There will be no strength ever to rival that of a person who is resigned to fate. No Amount of pain nor suffering will deter him from his conquest of the world. Neither hate nor fear nor love can discourage a man from his resignation to fate. To surrender to one's tomorrow is the acceptance of everything he has or will have. He will need no good God to blame or saints to idolize. He only needs himself to reach what he perceives to be the "top". The acceptance of one's fate is his detachment to material happiness. Upon his yielding, no form of embarrassment nor failure will defeat his purpose of existence. His love of fate is the well of wisdom that his soul requires for calm. Never will love lost be unproductive hours of feeling destitute and melancholy. Sadness will again be filled with love, of fate. There will never be hopelessness, also gone are queries on meaninglessness of existence. The love of fate is the strongest of all atheistic belief. It needs no God. It asks no question and bears everything it receives in stride. Submission to fate in never an easy task, for man has always been "goal" oriented. Love of fate appreciates everything it possesses, even those they don't. "Bent is the path to eternity" according to Friedrich Nietzsche. "Everything dies and blossoms again in the eternal ring of being"

Keeping the Faith

I almost lost it, my religious belief. Although I am a religious person, I almost gave up my being Catholic, no thanks to my Philosophy102 Professor. I am religious in character, not because I go to Church every Sunday. I've always tried to instill discipline in the manner I can. I believe in certain virtues that only spiritual faith can give. If I were a Muslim, I would've been a suicide bomber. Not to discriminate against them, but judging my character, I know I would've been one. It's a fact that extremists do support such practices. I believe that Muslims are a much disciplined people. They obey without questions. They are submissive to their God, Allah. As with Buddhists, they are a very quiet people. I think if I were a Buddhist, I would've been a monk. I always want to ponder at things so as to clear my mind. But I'm not one who believes that human spirits can enter insects or animals. Buddhists are peace-loving, considerate and are always seeking wisdom. Much like me in many ways. I wonder if my Mother wasn't a Catholic. It's her who's kept me from denouncing my faith. I can see her face appearing appalled every time I try to argue the Christian God's existence. How Christ is killed continuously by His very own "followers". But one thing Christianity brought into this world is love. No other religion preacher about love the way Christianity does. We can forget about discipline, peace, wisdom, & every good thing there is in this Earth if we don't know love. Love is the summation of all human qualities, good & bad. It is the reason of our existence. It is the only word vast enough to contain the universe in whole. Love, a short but very encompassing word.
