As I walked around London I had the eerie feeling I was being followed. But I shrugged it off and returned to my thoughts. It was actually nice being back in society. I really hadn't liked being a hermit too much, but what can you do? I couldn't really just reappear and be like "Hey what's up, I'm back".
Abs was letting me stay with him until I could find my own place. That was part of the reason I was out and about. Abs and Lori are quite strange. They've been together forever but refuse to move in together or get married. Even J and Addie moved in together. Wait, maybe that's not a good example.
I saw a billboard that was advertising a new play. A familiar face stared back at me. Boy has she ever grown up. She looks a lot older. Very mature and sophisticated. Maybe I would have to pay her a visit. I could probably find out from Lori or Abs her number. Maybe I could even take her to Addie and Scott's premiere. That would be good. I made a mental note of the play and kept on walking.
As I kept walking that feeling creepd up on me again. I turned around but didn't see anyone. Great, just great, now I'm paranoid. Probably due to years of living in the woods.
"I've got myself a date with a pretty girl!" I sang to myself as I got ready. That's right. I was taking Val out. We haven't been out in FOREVER and I for one cannot wait. "And here's to you Mrs.Robinson..." I started singing that old Simon and Garfunkel song.
"Scott will you shut up in there!" Abs yelled at me. Oh yeah, I was staying with him while I was in London. So was Ritch. Now all we need are J and Sean and it'll be like old times. I smiled at the memories. We had so much fun together as Five. Touring around the world, meeting pretty girls, singing and dancing. It couldn't have been better. I sighed to myself and came out of the bedroom.
"So how do I look?" I asked Abs and Lori. Yeah, Lori was there. Those two were going out tonight or something. Lori whistled her approval.
"You look mahvelous dahling!" She stated. That's when I started getting really nervous. I don't know why. It's not like I've never been out with Val before. "Scott are you okay? You look a tad bit nervous."
"Yeah, I'm fine." I really wasn't. Geez Robinson, get a hold of yourself, it's just Val. Val, the girl who you've gone out with HUNDREDS of times. The girl of your dreams. "Well, I'm going. See you two later." I picked up the flowers I had bought for Val and headed out the door. I was going out with Val!
"Grace will you leave me alone for just one second?" I asked her. We were alone. Everyone had gone home after I got back from dropping off Addie at her dad's.
"But J honey, you look tense." Grace came over and started massaging my shoulders and back. Now this is one thing she's good at. That's why I fell for her. She gave the best massages.
"Grace, you're so good at this." I told her as I began to relax. Grace kept massaging and then began kissing me. That's when all thoughts of Addie and everyone else flew out of my head. That's when I remembered why I fell for Grace in the first place.
