“Guys, I’m worried about Heidi.” J said as he sat down in the middle of Scott’s living room. He had just called an emergency meeting of five and a few others ie: brittany and cecile. “She hasn’t talked to me or anyone else for a week. And, she won’t play truth or dare.”
Everyone in the room was speechless. Heidi not talk? That girl could talk a mile a minute and then some. She always had something to say. Brittany knew this was especially true. She used to have to listen to Heidi all the time babble on about something. And the not playing truth or dare, that was just scary. Heidi loved that game.
“Any idea why she’s like this?” J asked all of them. The room was silent. Everyone looked around at eachother each expecting the next to say something. But no one said anything. Finally Abs spoke up.
“It’s all Katie’s fault. That girl is no good. She said some pretty nasty things about Heidi on your answering machine. And the fact that you heard them and didn’t do anything about it really hurt her I guess.”
“She heard that?” J’s face was pale. He had really thought Heidi hadn’t heard that. And the reason he hadn’t said anything about it yet was because Katie was not answereing his calls. Either that or she was on holiday. Not that he really cared. He was planning on breaking up with her anyways.
“Yeah she heard that. And she was pretty upset too. All I can say is Katie better watch her back.” Abs added. All the others agreed. Katie was no good and needed to be dealt with. While this was going on Sean kinda felt bad about what he had just done to Heidi. He was still a little upset about the dare she made him do so he had pulled a little prank on her himself.
“Here’s another 20. Now remember keep my name out of this. These are from a lad named J. Think you can remember that?” Heidi told the delivery guy. She had just received some roses with the bud cut off. Anonymously of course, but she had this feeling they were from Sean.
So Heidi decided to send them along to Katie, postage due. Meaning, when Katie got them, she’d have to pay for the postage. And Heidi had also paid the delivery guy to tell her they were from J.
J. There’s someone she still didn’t know what to do about. Heidi wanted to tell him about Katie, but just couldn’t bring herself to it. What to do, what to do? She sat back in her chair and turned on the telly. Nothing was on of course. You can have a massive satellite dish and there will still never be anything on.
While Heidi was watching a very exciting infomercial on how you can buy twenty of the same knife but with different handles an idea came to her. As she thought it over she knew it would work. She just needed one more person. Heidi picked up the phone and dialed the number.
