Chapter 7
“Hi Billie! Hi Ritch!” Everyone said as the pair walked into the living room. Ritch noticed Aurora there and turned red. He used to have a thing for her, but after she beat him up he stopped. It also didn’t hurt that J threatened him too.
They sat down on the couch and joined the conversation which happened to be on Evy. “Yeah, we were real excited about meeting your sister Ritch. Too bad she’s sick.” Scott snickered. He liked this whole teasing Ritch thing. He had no problem with it whatsoever. Besides they always needed a good laugh.
“I know. But you guys will meet her soon enough. She’s real quiet and shy.” At this point Aurora burst out loud laughing. Evy quiet? Whatever. Ever since she had moved in she talked and talked and talked and never shut up.
“Oh really, hmm....” Aurora said. She looked over at J and caught him deep in thought. Then she remembered something, they hadn’t told Evy the number to call. “Dangit all!” she exclaimed. “J, can I talk to you for a second in the kitchen?” J shrugged his shoulders and followed Aurora into the kitchen.
“What is it?” he asked after he positioned himself on the counter.
“We forgot to tell Evy the number to call. So um, I need you to go upstairs and find her and tell her the number. Yes, yes, so will you do it?”
“Sure, I gotta go upstairs anyways.” He hopped off the counter and headed for the stairs, while Evy headed into the living room.
“Where’d J go?” Sean asked.
“Uh, he needed something from his room. Yes, that’s it.” They then began to talk about uh, fun things to do. Aurora mentioned something about throwing very small rocks.
~Meanwhile upstairs (this is where it gets good, hehehehe, can we say rugby league?)
“J, boy am I glad to see you.” Evy exclaimed when he walked into the room she was hiding in. “By the way whose room am I in? They have a smashing taste in clothes and music.”
“This is my room. Why you so glad to see me?” He plopped down on the bed next to her.
“Cos I need the number to call downstairs. Aurora obviously forgot to tell me it.”
“Ahh, it’s just boring stuff downstairs. Ritch and Billie are here now. And let me tell ya, the conversation goes right out the window when he’s around.”
“Yeah, I know. He’s like blah blah blah, I love lipgloss, and other strange things. Did you know he talks in his sleep? Quite interesting if you ask me.” J laughed at Evy. “What? What’s so funny? That Ritch is ‘special’?” Again J cracked up in fits of laughter. “Oh you are so going to get it.” Evy jumped on J’s back and pushed him to the floor. This led to a full fledged wrestling match.
~Downstairs~
“Did you guys hear that loud thump?” Scott asked. Immediately all the guys thoughts (well everyone but Ritch cos he didn’t know Evy was up there) turned to what J and Evy were doing.
“Boy, J doesn’t waste any time.” Abs commented a little too loud.
“Huh? What did I miss something?” Ritch asked.
“Yeah, J’s got a girl upstairs. Wonder what they’re doing.” Sean told him without thinking.
“Yep, Aurora found her on the street (makes me sound like a hooker, she was walking the corner....) and brought her here. Well she went upstairs to change...and bam! She and J....” Scott decided he would lead Ritch on. Oh how he loved teasing Ritch.
“Shut-up you git!” Aurora exclaimed. “That is so not what happened. She’s just a friend of mine.”
“And now she’s J’s real close PERSONAL friend. I don’t think they’ll be coming down anytime soon.” Abs told everyone. At this point Aurora lunged for Abs and knocked him to the floor. As much as she loved Abs she couldn’t have him saying things about her brother and friend like that.
Now about Aurora liking Abs.....yes Aurora liked Abs. Nobody knew that though. Not even J or Kristina. She didn’t know when she began to like him, but she really did.
Now about Abs thoughts on Aurora....Abs likes Aurora. What guy couldn’t? He really got pissed at Ritch when he started stalking Aurora. But he knew Aurora could handle herself. She proved it very well at this current moment while she’s on top of him trying to make him take back what he said.
